The result is a player the model ranks a tier or more above his ADP, with a real production ceiling. - The downside is capped. A model sleeper at a cheap ADP has a floor you can live with — a committee share, a streamable schedule, or a depth-chart path that limits how badly it can miss.

Why these hold up across scoring formats
A model sleeper is only useful if it survives the format you actually play. The good news is that the three archetypes here are format-robust in a way most hype names are not. The year-2 receiver holds in PPR because his value is target count, and it holds in standard because his ceiling is real. The backup RB with a path to a vacated role holds in every format because snap share converts to points everywhere — PPR just adds a bit on top for the pass-catching ones.
