Updated Sep 7, 2026 · Week 1 board.
A script that moved two points while you weren't looking
We've tracked this line since Aug 28, 2026, at 3:30 a.m. ET, when Pinnacle opened it at 7.5 with Cleveland getting the 7.5. By Sep 7 at 6:00 p.m. ET the same book reads 9.5.
That is a 2-point move toward Jacksonville, and today's odds board confirms it independently at a Pinnacle home spread of -9.5. A number that moved, with a book and an hour attached. Not a preseason story about a team everybody already drafted around.
Two points on one book, tracked across ten days, is a bigger thing than the same-day book-to-book disagreements this series covers. Those run half a point to a point on most Week 1 games. A move this size, held across ten days of our own tracking rather than one stale reading, is the closest thing here to a market changing its mind about how a team's season opens.
Six deep flex names, and what the board thinks of them
Every one of these carries a team now, so any of them can be tied to a real Week 1 game. What none of them carries is a number worth chasing. The best of the six is Woody Marks, a Houston back at 8.27 projected points and board rank 42. Below him it falls away fast.
A seventh name came off this table on the way here. Christian Kirk is on injured reserve and the board gives him nothing, so he gets nothing here. Of the six who are left, four have no average draft position at all. Nobody in a normal league is spending a pick on them, and the board agrees with the room.
| Player | Team | Pos | Week 1 projected pts (PPR) | Board rank | ADP |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Woody Marks | HOU | RB | 8.27 | 42 | 141.2 |
| Dylan Sampson | CLE | RB | 5.02 | 51 | 159.2 |
| Pat Bryant | DEN | WR | 4.16 | 92 | undrafted |
| Chimere Dike | TEN | WR | 2.37 | 112 | undrafted |
| Isaiah Williams | NYJ | WR | 2.27 | 114 | undrafted |
| Elic Ayomanor | TEN | WR | 1.42 | 129 | undrafted |
The big name, by contrast, with a real matchup attached
Justin Jefferson was drafted 11.6th on average, about as big a name as the sport has, and he is a Minnesota receiver on the board with a real Week 1 game attached. Minnesota hosts Green Bay, 46-point total. He comes back at 17.08 projected points, sixth among receivers. So the draft room paid for the twelfth pick in the league and the board hands back its sixth-best receiver.
That is not a gap. That is two lists agreeing, which is the outcome this section was written expecting not to find. He outprojects the best of the six above by better than eight points in a single week.
So what survives of bidding the script? The narrow version. A moving line tells you which offense is about to get more snaps with the ball, and that is worth something between two names the board rates the same. It is worth nothing at all against eight points of separation.
Jacksonville's two points do not turn a rank-42 back into a starter, and no line move this week turns any of the six above into one either. Price the script when the numbers are level. Read the number first when they are not.
What the Number Says
Eight points. That is the separation between Justin Jefferson and the best deep flex name on this page, and it is the figure that decides a flex slot this week. Nothing in the six-name table is a lineup piece. Woody Marks at 8.27 is the only one worth a small bid, and only as a stash.
Jacksonville's line is the one thing still in play. It has gone from 7.5 to 9.5 in ten days, and if it keeps drifting toward the Jaguars, a Jacksonville back starts to matter in a way none of these six do. Watch that number at Pinnacle before you spend the budget.
Rank a flex claim on projected points and range together, the way the RB and WR posts in this series do. And confirm each name's real Week 1 opponent yourself before assuming any of them inherits a script like Jacksonville's. The live board is /fantasy/nfl/rankings. Every other post in this Week 1 series sits under /fantasy/waiver-wire/week-1.
