The five-name table this needed
Every name below clears three checks at once. A real draft price. A FantasyPros consensus rank. And a Week 1 figure on the board.
Plenty of interesting names fail that bar, and these five clear it.
| Player | Team | Projected points, Week 1 (PPR) | Board rank at receiver | ADP | FantasyPros half-PPR WR rank | Gap, FantasyPros minus board | Depth chart | Injury tag |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Courtland Sutton | DEN | 11.68 | 30 | 61.2 | 33 | +3 | 2 | none |
| DJ Moore | BUF | 11.59 | 31 | 47.2 | 31 | +0 | 1 | none |
| Parker Washington | JAX | 10.78 | 35 | 61.7 | 27 | -8 | 1 | none |
| Mike Evans | SF | 10.64 | 36 | 56.6 | 30 | -6 | 1 | Questionable |
| Michael Wilson | ARI | 10.46 | 37 | 75.6 | 38 | +1 | 2 | none |
Courtland Sutton leads them at 11.68 and Michael Wilson trails at 10.46. Everything in between is inside that. In a format that pays a full point per catch, one reception on Sunday reorders this entire table. So anybody telling you which of these five to prefer, on the strength of the projection alone, is reading noise and calling it a signal.
I did that in August. The numbers were different then and the mistake was the same either way.
Reading the gap column instead of guessing at it
The gap column is the FantasyPros rank minus the board rank, so a positive number means the board rates him better than the crowd does. 3 of the five land inside three spots either way, which is agreement, not an edge. Parker Washington is the widest at -8, and it runs the opposite way from the story I told in August. FantasyPros has him twenty-seventh; the board has him 35th.
Mike Evans reads -6 the same direction. Neither of those is the board finding a bargain. It's the board being less impressed than the crowd, on two men the crowd already had cheap.
What separates them once the points stop helping
Two columns do the work the projection can't. Depth chart first. DJ Moore, Parker Washington and Mike Evans are first on their own team's chart. Courtland Sutton is second in Denver and Michael Wilson is second in Arizona, and second means somebody else eats before they do.
Then the tag. Mike Evans carries a questionable, the only one in the group, and a questionable on a first-stringer moves your Sunday more than the 1.22 points spanning this whole table. Draft price is the third thing: Moore goes at 47.2 while Wilson lasts until 75.6, and the board can't tell them apart at all.
What this table still can’t do
This table shows where three sources disagree, and by how little. It doesn't say who breaks out. Every figure here is Week 1 and nothing longer. This board does not carry a season-long number for anybody.
None of the five has a graded pick behind him either. So read the gap column as a disagreement to weigh, never as a record to trust. The Week 1 rankings page carries the full context behind each rank. The no-price breakout piece has more names the market has not priced at all.
And if these prices still feel rich for a one-week signal, our market check on three deep-ADP names goes cheaper.
How to use the table at the table
Take the cheapest starter and stop agonizing. Wilson lasts until 75.6 and projects within 1.22 of the best man here, but he's second on his own chart, so the discount is the role. Moore at 47.2 is the most expensive and the only first-stringer priced like one. If you want the version of this where somebody is actually underpriced, it isn't on this page today.
Cross-check the draft kit for where each one lands on a printed sheet.
The Receipts Drawer
A spread of 1.22 from top to bottom across five men, and one catch swallows the lot. The receipt worth keeping is that the disagreement I wrote a whole page about in August has closed to three spots or less on 3 of the five. Mike Evans is the name to watch, because his questionable tag is the only column here that will actually move before kickoff. If he's active and first on the San Francisco chart, his 10.64 is the one figure in this group I'd trust to go higher.
Pull the injury report Sunday morning and take the cheapest healthy starter of the five.
