Welcome back to the channel. I'm Titan, and you're watching the football show. The first two days of the NFL draft bolstered many teams' rosters, but today we will be focusing on the Saints. The Saints began their draft by trading up with the Commanders to the 11th pick in the first round. With this pick, they selected Chris Olave, a receiver from Ohio State. Measuring in at 6'0", 187 pounds, he ran a 4.39 40-yard dash at the NFL combine. This pick fills a crucial role receiver, as the Saints were tied for the lowest completion percentage last year and had the least amount of passing yards. Frequently described as a smooth route runner compared to Terry McLaurin, he's already been a part of an elite passing attack at Ohio State. Using his speed, the Saints will be able to take advantage of Washington's arm strength. Some people think Jameson Williams from Alabama would have been a better choice for this position, but I think the Saints were trying to find a receiver that had no major injuries, especially after losing their other star receiver Michael Thomas for a year and a half. Overall, I give this pick an 8 out of 10, and I'm excited to see Chris Olave in black and gold.

The Saints' next pick was a tackle from Northern Iowa, Trevor Penning, replacing Terron Armstead after his departure to the Dolphins. Penning reminds me of a tough farm boy. He's nice until you piss him off, but when he's mad, he's going to bury you in the dirt. He's a big boy at 6'7" and weighs in at 325 pounds. Trevor Penning is a versatile run blocker. He might need to refine his pass blocking, but he will be a solid addition to the team and will help protect Winston after his ACL injury.

The Saints only had one pick on day two of the draft, and they used it on a DB, Alante Taylor out of Tennessee. Alante Taylor began his career as a receiver and played most of his snaps at corner back when he was at Tennessee. But I think he will be good addition to the safety position, especially after Marcus Maye's injury and Malcolm Jenkins' retirement. With his ball skills, he might be able to play a similar role as Tyrannig Diggs on the Saints.

Thanks for watching. I'm Titan, and this has been draft review.
