Red Raider Recon: Texas Tech Football finally put it all together (VIDEO)

This transcript does not include audio timing.

Welcome in to Red Raider Recon, brought to you by Abundance Energy. I'm Clint Scott, he's Rob Breaux. But who is Rob Breaux? Rob Breaux is someone that loves to punt the football. He loves it so much, he'd punt on second down. I've heard he'd punt on the opposing 20. I'm Clint Scott, and I approve this message. What was that? What? What was that? Rob Breaux is someone who only has questions. He doesn't have answers. Is that the type of guy you want running your podcast? I'm Clint Scott, and I approve this message. Is this a political ad? I'm so confused. Rob Breaux is someone that's easily confused. He can't break down his own thoughts, let alone an offense. I'm Clint Scott, and I approve this message. All right. Do you have it all out of your system? Are we done? Can I do the open, my bit of the open? Yeah, sorry. You're just running smear ads on me. You're right. I'm sorry. Can we move on? Yes, I'm sorry. Clint Scott, no back bone. No, no, no, no. Texas Tech was ranked 8th. I think that's a great spot. We'll talk about that later on in my three thoughts. It looks like we're going to have some Big 12 overreactions potentially. I'll start with my overreaction, Clint Scott. The Texas Tech BYU rematch in Arlington is going to be electric. I did not know that Bear Bachmeier was such a grudge guy. Yeah, how about that? Apparently, he's held a grudge for 18 months on Notre Dame or longer. You would assume he's got a pretty big grudge going on Texas Tech right now after keeping them out of the playoff last year. Texas Tech looks back after hammering a bad Arizona State team and they are bad. But you did what you needed to do. I cannot wait to be in the end zone again of Jerry World, waiting for that game to start doing the pregame, and it's on a Friday night. It should be pretty exciting. And if it's BYU in Texas Tech, I still think Houston has a shot. My overreaction was almost, you are set up for four Big 12 playoff teams. Because if you listen, if Houston beats Utah, Utah beats BYU, and then Houston beats Texas Tech in the Big 12 Championship game, and Texas Tech has gone undefeated the rest of the season. Who do you pick? Who do you leave out? I mean, you have to have two, but who are you leaving out? Yeah. I think TSP would find a way. I mean, sorry, the committee. Sorry, slip of the tongue. Yeah. What's your overreaction? The Big 12 just had their best optics weekend in the College Football Playoff era. The recipe, big one from BYU. That's the biggest hitter there, right? Non-conference, went over the second ranked team in the country, big check. The next step, everybody else that was a big favorite didn't get upset in the conference. Check, check, check. Tech blows at Arizona State, Utah, not pretty, but stays undefeated. Then Houston and Oklahoma State, you have a top 25 win. One of them was going to have it, right? I think it actually helped that it went down to the wire and was just a great game. Unfortunately, but truthfully, the rest of the optics win was the other big brands not taking care of business and dribbling down their legs a little bit. When you're looking at Georgia and Alabama and Texas and everybody else that lost in the time, obviously Notre Dame there too. So I don't like that that part is in the recipe, but it is. And so all in all, look, all you can do is what other teams aren't. If you're BYU, if you're Texas Tech, if you're Utah and also if you're Houston, you took care of business and people that hate, the haters are going to come after your schedule, they're going to come after the Big 12, that's fine. FPI, strength of record by the way, a stat that they love, the committee really loves those three schools. So, you know, just throwing that out there. But they're going to come after your schedule. All you can do is keep taking care of business. I'm with you right where you started. You're in a great spot with the top 25. You're in a great spot with just kind of current respect. It's not all the way to what I want it to be, but it's better than what it was going into the weekend. This is the challenge now. Don't screw it up. Yeah, to those top teams, don't screw it up, right? BYU, don't lose at UCF. Arizona in the top 25 as well. Don't lose to Iowa State. For you, don't go make a mess of this in Cincinnati. And it's past just week seven and eight and all that, but this week it starts, right? Now it's in the don't screw it up. I almost had another overreaction. Can I just do it real quick? Please do. It is a travesty that there are five or six, two lost teams in the top 25, all of them from the SEC, none of them Oregon State. Yeah. Oregon State has two top 15 losses and have dominated everyone else on their schedule. That sounds like an SEC team. Yeah. That they should get the respect that the SEC teams get. Maybe not. The SCP plus is pretty weak on the rest of their opponents, but Oregon State should be getting more than three votes in the latest day people. I saw a stat that said like, they haven't had a three and out since Montana. They haven't had a three and out. Offensively, that's amazing. Unbelievable. Crazy. Let's get to the Big 12 Player of the Week of the Year right after this word from Abundance Energy. That's right. Abundance Energy is here for you in Texas, and not only just in Texas, but in West Texas. That's right. Abundance Energy, your local energy provider. Yes, thank you to Abundance Energy for keeping us energetic. That's how it is, right? Keeping the lights on. Yeah. Big 12 Player of the Week of the Year. I think there's one guy, right, offensively, that it has to be. I'm going to let you do that one. In fact, I'm going to let you do both of these. I do just want to give a shout out to two players real quick that aren't going to be the official ones. Okay. Offensively, Jacobi Williams. Yeah. 11 carries, 165 yards, two touchdowns. Then defensively, it didn't really show up in the box score as much. But AJ. Holmes dominated Arizona State. What a big guy has a little guy's number. You know, he's going to be a bad man. That's RG3. Was that? It was true. That's a direct quote, by the way. I saw so many things about RG3, including the picture. I was like, even the highlights and going back and rewatching the game sound off. I just didn't. I'm not an RG3 hater. I just saw enough that people calling out that he was just like, wait, we're here in learning Texas. Sure. And just like, okay, I don't need to hear this. I don't mind the flat brimmed, like special occasion black felt hat. It doesn't bother me as much as some. But he also just had an unfinished top. It was a rounded dome top. They didn't put an ounce of steam on that thing. He was like, you sure? Yeah. He's like, yeah, that's probably good. They said that, well, they said that later in the game, Connor is like, yeah, we steamed it and had a curve in there, and he asked them to take it out. Really? Yeah. That's funny. All right. Who are the official Red Raider Recon Big 12 players of the week of the year? All right. Just as you were saying there, if I'm Jacoby Williams, if I'm Connor Wegman, who was awesome this week, if I'm Michael Hawkins, yeah, junior at West Virginia, I'm really upset that this is the week that Bear Bachmeier had the game that he did. Part of this, the numbers maybe aren't quite as impressive as what Hawkins did or Wegman or Jacoby Williams, but when you put in the impact and the win over Notre Dame and that he had four touchdowns, one passing, two rushing, another as a receiver. Welcome to the Bears, Dan Notre Dame. He had one really poor play in my opinion. It was the interception that was under thrown, but even then he responds by being absolute nails on a 10 play touchdown drive to retake the lead. That was impressive. That was, that was, if you didn't know, he has taken another step as a young quarterback. That was kind of announcing to the Big 12 that that's like legit. All right, defensively, it is over to TCU, Karan Hayward. He had, for TCU, he had one and a half sacks coming into the revival re. Added three more and that defense just dominated Baylor. There are- Especially in key moments. That's the big thing. In key moments, dominated Baylor. TCU is a little more like Oklahoma than I thought. They haven't scored very much this season. Yeah. That defense is, I think, a top three unit nationally right now. Does that? Okay. So I'll just do a real quick side question here before we get to three thoughts. Going into that game is like, is this going to be the game that gets Sonny Dykes fired? Instead, is this the game that immediately has Dave Aranda on the hottest seat in the Big 12? They play Kansas and UCF in the next two weeks. If they beat Kansas and lose to UCF, they should fire them at five and three, just like Texas Tech fired Matt Wells, because you know the trajectory of this team, and you know the trajectory of the program under Dave Aranda, and it's not positive. What if they lose to Kansas first? If they lose to Kansas and, yeah, I mean, I think if they lose to one of these teams, they'll be four and three if they lose to Kansas. And you just lost to Kansas. Right. I think they're going to fire Dave Aranda. They might let him stay. If Jeff Traylor is the choice, you know, Jeff Traylor was approached about the Texas Tech job and wanted to stay at UTSA, and they got a long contract at UTSA. Because they were winning. And he's got a pretty good season going on right now at UTSA. But if he's the guy, maybe Baylor's patient enough to finish the season with Dave Aranda. And I think they can because they have a tough schedule down the stretch. But if Dave Aranda sneaks out eight wins, and you don't fire him before it happens, do you have to keep him? You don't have to do anything. Right. Right. Yeah. Sure. Yeah. And this is up to a new regime of decision makers over there. This is no longer Mack Rhodes. So that's an interesting. The 7-5 Baylor is a very interesting problem over there because it's 7-5. It's not a clear sign of progression, especially on how the 7-5 looks, right? And it's also walking in knowing like, hey, in that set up, they're not real happy over there with Dave Miranda. And there is pressure from that fan base to see a change. I just, I would not want to be in the deciding shoes, if you will. You're, Dave Miranda is always a bad loss away from being back on the hot seat. And they could have started 6-0 and lost to TCU, and he would have been on the hot seat. Or 5-0, whatever it was. Yeah. Dangerous. I still think Sonny Dykes, by the way, is not free yet. No, I don't think, I don't think he's safe, but I think my hot seat rankings in the Big 12 flipped. Yeah. All right. Three thoughts? Three thoughts. First thought. Uh-huh. First thought. You've got a team full of dudes and they each had their moments on Saturday. The linebackers were outstanding. Romaine led the team in tackles. John Curry got an interception and was laying people out. Ben Roberts, tone setting, picked six, and then was just flat out good the rest of the game. AJ. Holmes, as you mentioned, had that offensive line shook. He was dominant on Saturday. Kenny Johnson was the best receiver on the field from either team. Jacoby Williams was phenomenal. He was Mr. Untouchable on Saturday. Terrence Carter had moments. Your offensive line had moments. I mean, Will Hammond, complete performance. You finally saw a game and it wasn't perfect still, by the way, which is positive to me because it just means that you still have even more room to grow. But you finally had a complete performance and it's because your dudes played like dudes, everybody on the same day, all four quarters. It was so refreshing and encouraging to see. Terrence Carter is the power back of the offense until Cam Dickey gets back. I think him laying the lumber at the goal line was awesome. I think everybody in the stadium was surprised. Everybody in the booth up with us was surprised. No one was more surprised than that unfortunate sun devil that he got run over. All right, first thought. There were three winning plays from Saturday and probably a lot more, but three I'm going to highlight. First play. Of winning plays in the box score, not showing up in the box score. First play. First play. Jordan Church throwing Will Hammond forward on fourth down to start the game. Yes. Stone cold stuck and Jordan Church just grabs the quarterback and slings him around to the first down. At first I was like, how did Will Hammond spin out of that? Then on the replay I was like, oh, yeah, got it. Jacoby Williams first touchdown, second play. Second play. Micah Hudson down the field. Yeah. Blocking really well. First of all, he's sprinting off the line to get separation down the field. Then he makes a good block and doesn't hold and just gets in the way of the guy to spring Jacoby Williams down the sideline. Now that I see where he minds at, can I guess the third play? Third play. I won't go into depth. Is it Malcolm Simmons? Malcolm Simmons on the next Jacoby Williams touchdown. First of all, Jacoby Williams teleporting around the defensive lineman in the hole. Incredible. Yes. And then he breaks a tackle in the second level. Third level is taken care of because once Malcolm Simmons sees he's free, he sprints up ahead and again gets in the way of a guy down the field, the safety. And that was on that same drive. He did it two plays before on the 15-yard rush from Jacoby Williams that got him in position. Yes, 100%. He did it two plays in a row. Well, there's a play in between. But yes, that's an entire team that is in. Yes. And Malcolm Simmons and Micah Hudson are not catching a bunch of balls. You have another thought here in a second that I think it's this one right here that I will want to highlight Malcolm Simmons again. But let's get to your second thought. Yeah, second thought. Will Hammond, Mac Lefthwaite, The Offense, that was beautiful, man. Again, I don't want to come back to be Mr. Negative. Again, it's more if you're trying to be nitpicky. It's like, hey, you can take an even, still another step, from your best performance where you dominated. That's what's so exciting to me. You were balanced. Hammond was accurate, creative when he needed to be, but he didn't overdo it. They let Jacoby Williams be a playmaker, and then he rewarded them by being just on an absolute another level. They got big in some short yardage moments. They also used speed a couple of times in short yardage situations. What does that tell me? They kept the defense off balance. Malcolm Simmons was one of those players with the speed side. Jacoby Williams obviously mixed in the speed side as well. If we as a fan base are going to call out an offense from top to bottom when it's bad or frustrating, you have to match that energy for games like that. Again, I'm going to use encouraging as the word again, because maybe for the offense, it really was a case of finding yourself for five games. You were grinding out wins from that side of the ball, letting the defense do the bulk of the work, and what's most important is you were getting wins. But now you've got through that time, you've had your reset, and maybe now you can roll. And so if that is the case, that was a really good first step and a really good first sign. Because I think two things can be true. Arizona State, they are struggling, especially defensively. But at the same time, you just looked different offensively. You looked confident as a group. That's what I wanted to see. Will Hammond looked comfortable, check. I wanted to see with the comfortability, a confident Will Hammond of just what he was seeing, check. He really never put the ball in danger and also, I mean, just naturally there's a couple, but he wasn't like, there was never a what was that throw. Even then, I think you could have had a what was that throw and still had the rest of that game and go, that was a clear sign of progression, but he just never had any of that. There's one ball where you throw it a little bit late, should have been a touchdown. Yeah, the other one where he's running trying to find Micah Hudson in the back of the end zone just whiffs on it a little bit. But again, that's like being, that's being nitpicky. And both of those probably should have been caught. Yeah. One after a tip and one after a, I think if Bryson Jones is a little older, yes, you come back for that ball. And then the Micah Hudson one is just, that would have been a miraculous catch, but after a tip drill. Which is as a whole, you were in rhythm the entire time. You wanted a fast start without like, hey, we got the fast start. You scored, I don't know, 14 points, 21 straight points, but then you took your foot off the gas. No, you put them away in the first half. And that's what you're capable of, week in, week out. Yes. All right, second thought. Second thought. Eight is the perfect ranking in the AP poll closing in on the playoff ranking. I think you want to be as high as possible, right? And there's some momentum here for you. If you can beat Cincinnati and Arizona, another top 25 win would be awesome. So hopefully Arizona beats Iowa State. If you win both of those games based on what's in front of you, the teams who are playing different teams, you have a real opportunity. This week, there's three top 10 teams on a buy. And then it's like Indiana, Michigan. What's that going to look like? And Ole Miss, Texas. What's that going to look like? Both those teams could lose. Both those teams should win. But you never know. You never know. With those kind of games. So I think it's at Michigan and at Texas. So I think there's a real opportunity for you to be six or even higher once the playoff pole comes out. And of course, you look at the strength of record and some of these metrics that the committee really loves that you're really good at, Texas Tech. But Joey has said this, and I agree. I'd like to be five or eight in that range when the playoff pole comes out. And I'd like to stay there. Now, am I ever going to complain about being ranked third or second or first in the nation? No, that'd be a great problem to have. A bye week in the playoff is a great issue to have to work through. I just want to host a playoff game. I think it'd be awesome. I think it'd be awesome. So I think you're in a great spot at eight. I think the teams in front of you are arguably should be, and you're right where you need to be. But let's just keep plugging away, keep winning, and everything will work out. Yeah, I don't have an issue with that at all. Third thought. ESPN blows chunks of lard, just fat chunks of gelatinous greasy blobs. I mean, to start, the... Is that written down? Part of it. The immediate, to remind myself of how I felt about ESPN, the immediate backpedaling to protect their brands that lost, oh, this shows just how strong the league is. No bad losses, just losses. No, bad losses are bad. Gag me with a spoon. Josh Pate going on to say, oh, if you're looking at this, this is the reason why Georgia lost to Auburn. It's recruiting, it's cause it's closer. It's not a big deal. No, a bad loss is a bad loss. Then also still doing their best to bash the Big 12 along with it. Blatantly apparent from trying to attack BYU's atmosphere on their first touchdown and it was not as good as the SCC. It was pretty good. What are we doing? Like just, and I like Chris Fowler. Kirk Herbstreet, I'm iffy, but the more and more is the last two years. I used to be a like, hey, the SCC ESPN bias. It's not there every week. Yes, it's there, but it's not there every week. Then you have moments like that where it's a massive Saturday for the Big 12. Go to the end of the BYU game. That's a massive win for the Big 12, but also just if I was a BYU fan, I would have been furious because all Kirk Herbstreet could talk about was like, look at the arm, look at the arm, on hand fight. Which by the way, they weren't even looking at the clock, which came out like afterwards. Kirk Herbstreet with hand fighting in the end zone, a call that, one, if that's in the third quarter, I don't think it's called, if it's in the first quarter, if it's not, it's at least not a big deal, right? I think it's for sure called in the first quarter. I think both guys were hand fighting. Still, regardless, how many times have you seen that play to end a game like that, right? Sure. And how many times do you see the color guy on the call reek out that it should have been a penalty for like five minutes and keep bringing it back to it? And then also the play by play guy. That's a massive win for BYU. They're rushing the field. Don't leave it in the hands of the official. Yes. Yeah. I just, it was the problem again, is just like not getting over it and then immediately trying to undersell a win. That on Saturday, it was awful from ESPN, from top to bottom. Like just say that you only like 10 percent of the sport and you don't like College Football. The Chris Fowler, this crowd's not very good. The SEC crowds are better that we've been to. It's just unneeded. It's unnecessary. Just cover the game. Just cover the game. You don't have to slobber all over the BYU product, like you do the SEC product. I don't expect you to. Just call the game that you're at. Don't have to compare to everyone. It was weird. We get as college football fans, the SEC is a really good conference. No one is fighting that. You don't have to keep just like wedging that into conversations. Yeah. Can I have just a quick bonus thought? Bonus thought. I don't like this BYU team. They're punks. They're punks the whole game. I've watched them a couple of times this year. Yeah. When BYU is winning and two years ago with Batty and what happened in Provo with Texas Tech, if BYU is winning, they're punks. Little bit of an edge. Did you see the interview that the BYU people put out and they should not have? It was behind a paywall. The defensive lineman said, yeah, I sent a hut and they snapped the ball early. Then they took it down. We held a field off. Yeah, they took it down because it was blatant admittance to cheating. Yeah. Then obviously the Notre Dame fans put it back up. But first of all, they should never get another interview with the player. I would be locking that down. That doubt, if we did that, if we had a Red Raider Recon postgame with a player like that, and we put up that clip, we would be banned for life. We should be. BYU should not let those guys interview anyone after the game ever again, if they're going to post behind the paywall stuff like that. When we did our fake funeral for Josh last season, we would be doing a real funeral for a cold open. Yeah, we wouldn't roll. Yeah. Well, certainly for any kind of interview that we would ever get to do again. Just big misstep from them, the BYU media. But I just, they were punks in that game. Yes. Yeah, I don't disagree. All right. Third thought. Third thought. The Texas Tech linebacker unit is amongst the best in the country. AJ Holmes is the best defense attack on the Big 12, maybe the country. But the most likely award winner from Texas Tech right now is Will Carroll, winning the Ray Guy. I was going to special teams, but that makes more sense. Another 60 plus yard punt down inside the five, the best net punting average in the nation at 48 plus, an absolute stud. The pun that you're referencing there in person, the only way, like sometimes you have, if it's a blowout like it was, you just, and sometimes it's from like a younger guy, or it's, maybe it's even from the other team, it's like as the home fan, you can still just appreciate where just a play comes out of nowhere and it's like breathtaking, right? And you're just like, everyone's like, a punt did that to the entire stadium where it was almost like a roller coaster because it was like, oh, it's incredible. By the way, the crowd on Saturday was awesome. Yes, electric. All right, fan question of the week. Who had the worst Saturday in college football? As always, you can give a question of the week in the comments below, my Twitter, Rob's Twitter, Double T 97-3 Twitter. We actually have a double dip, just a real quick ender. But the official fan question of the week was, who had the worst Saturday in college football? Oregon. Theirs was not great. Well, they won to beat Nebraska. But then their entire wide receiver room potentially getting arrested and maybe not playing for a while. We'll see what happens with Oregon. They might have already been out of the playoff. But if these arrests and felonies and whatever else they're getting involved with, speed racing, DUIs, if that knocks out a chunk of this wide receiver room, I would expect Dante Moore to start preparing for the NFL Draft if he was even preparing to come back. And Oregon is just going to be preparing for next year. We had a similar thought, but with different teams. I ended up not going with this team. But the only reason, because I wholeheartedly agree with you, is because I have written Oregon off. They're a mess and they're unraveling. I think sometimes you have moments in a season that you go like, yes, they way underperformed and you go like, oh, they weren't as good as people. No, they were talented. I mean, you are what your record is, right? But maybe it's the Dante Moore injury. That's probably the key access point. Maybe it's losing early on to Oklahoma State and then going like, oh, that's a bad, that's not a great start for us. Who knows? But that was a loaded Oregon team that had a lot of familiar faces from last year that this is how different a season can be with a similar team. So I don't disagree with that answer at all. I almost went. Also, again, I've been harping on this, but Will Stein at Kentucky. Yes. His offensive line coach. Did you see him? Do you know who that is? I don't know who their offensive line coach is. Cutter Luftwitch. The defensive coordinator has gone too. Did you see Will Stein yelling at the Oklahoma sideline that he knew the play they were about to run? That was- I love Will Stein. He's cocky. I love Will Stein. Had Indiana's Nick Marsh not stepped out of bounds, I would have said Ohio State. Yeah, losing the quarterback. And I'm almost leaning that way. They get the win, so I'm staying away from it, but losing Julian Sayen for a while, that's concerning. And that is already one loss, Ohio State. I'm still gonna take Texas. I mean, Georgia, not great. Notre Dame, that's a loss, but that's, I mean, hey, you lost to the second-rank team in the country. Now, Notre Dame, you know, in the, not the actual Pop Tarts Bowl, but the Pop Tarts Bowl Revenge, but the Longhorns dropping not only their second game of the season, not only back-to-back, unranked matchups, not only doing it this time at home, not only Sark obviously not trusting Arch Manning, nor Arch Manning look trustable as a quarterback, it's Florida again, man. It's poetic. It's just, it's incredible. After they lost two straight. Yes. And then now Florida benefits because they shoot back up in the top 25. That's a whole separate other conversation, but still. Well, if Texas beats Ole Miss, it's going to be the same thing? Yes. That's the SEC cycle. But for Saturday, that was Arch Manning getting caressed like a baby and then having the horns down behind him, holding him up with one hand like a child and then throwing the horns down with the other hand was one of the funniest things I've ever seen. Him crawling slowly to the pile after he fumbled was so sad. The late fumble, one, horribly blocked, but also, you're talking about just like lack, like is this, it's like Arch Manning, yes, some of the decisions have not been great from a passing perspective. He doesn't trust his feet. And like that was horrible pocket awareness. I mean, that's not blind side. That's looking dead at it and then still going like, yeah, throw me down and I'm gonna lose the ball. All right, bonus, bonus fan question of the week. Big Hens, bonus question of the week. Big Hens, I say bonus because I think there was some sarcasm here. But has rotating three running backs been holding the team back? And also he asked specifically, has Cam Dickey helped the team back? No, no, I mean, if Jacoby, now I'll say this, I'll say this. I would have answered yes if Jacoby Williams in the last two weeks had 20 carries a game and was going off. Then it'd be like, yeah, you should have been given Jacoby Williams 20 carries a game. He had 11. He did all his damage. He had 165 yards on 11 carries. Somebody after the game was like, we'll take out the long runs. He was joking, but take out the long runs and see what his average is. Seven. Like on nine carries, he still had 100 yards, so it's just 70 yards, whatever it was. To me, it's just in situations, getting the right play calls for the right running backs. I think sometimes you're just like, it doesn't matter what running backs and we're calling our offense. I do think there needs to be like there has been in the last two weeks, okay, this running backs in, let's call this play for this running back. Earlier in the season, I was like, well, maybe the wide receivers coach and the running backs coach need to not be doing those decisions and Mac left which needs to be the one saying, this is a Jacoby run, put in Jacoby. That kind of stuff. Maybe the offense is a little more tailored to Jacoby Williams now. So I guess in a sense, maybe you could argue that, but I do think it's in just, and if there's 17 good running backs on the roster, Jacoby Williams can still get 11 carries, right? I mean, I think 11 to 15 is his mark. That's what he needs to have as a running back. And then if you're up to 20 on special teams and receiving and all that other stuff, but 11 to 15 from the backfield needs to be Jacoby Williams. Yeah, because I mean, I do think it's important, whether it's Cam Dickey or for now, Quinton Joyner getting the bulk of the other carries. Like having that sort of change of pace back is really good for the offense. And I think, you know, we talk about balance from a running and passing perspective, but even how you have the running game and just having that different kind of, hey, we can, if we want to, not that I'm not boxing in these guys, but if we want to slow it down and we want to beat up this defense a little bit, well, that's more going to be Cam Dickey and probably Quinton Joyner, right? If you're running and not that you don't want big runs from them. And Terrence Carter. And Terrence Carter. But you know, Jacoby Williams, this is not a negative. It almost sounds like I'm setting up that way, but like, you never know, like Jacoby Williams, you might not get that because you, bang, here's a 40 yard play. Right. And you're going to take the points. You're saying that there's different strategies like that offensively. And so you need to have all and also just to help. As much as I want Jacoby Williams, if I were like with him as the video game, he's walking away from every game, way in the red on the circle and he's gotten 40 carries. That just doesn't, yeah, like you can win with the other running backs too. And Cam Dickey is a thousand yard back. So I think it's what you said, it's more of a delicate balance of how you're using them and win. And I think Quinton Joyner is getting better every week too. Yeah, I think he had a good run. I think Quinton Joyner needs to just run straight. Yeah. I think he needs to put his shoulders in front of him and just run straight on the short yardage stuff. He's a little too dancy for me in the short yardage stuff. But he had a good run at the tail end of this game. I think he's getting more and more comfortable. Yeah. That being said, I would like him, especially with, because we're still not sure on Dickie, had the like, hey, you got some good news, maybe a little ahead of schedule. But until you get Dickie and you get a Dickie that's like as close to 100 percent as you're going to have him this year, that comfortability needs to come a little quicker. Yes. Somebody tell Quinton Joyner he's a massive running back. It just needs to get behind his shoulders and run. Terrence Carter. Yeah. Yeah. Go through the Terrence Carter running camp. Yes.
