Good evening, Crimson Tide Nation. Welcome to the 106th edition of the Alabama Crimson Tide Live College Show. From yours truly, Jatson Johnson and Jeffrey at Only Talk Sports. As we're going over our take on our last predictions of the Bama, Tennessee showdown that's coming in Knoxville on Saturday afternoon. And that's going to be a fun ride as well, but we'll also be reacting to the likelihood of a 2014 playoff in 2027. I want to tell you right now, we're going to make sure we're taking you for a good time for a long time, ladies and gentlemen, because it's going to be a wild ride. As this episode of the Alabama Crimson Tide Live College Show is presented by Fandool, where you can get top notch predictions in the world of NFL, college football, NBA, college basketball. Coming up in a couple of weeks, NBA is coming next Tuesday on NBC and Wednesday night on ESPN. It's going to be a fun ride as well. And then Major League Baseball, as my good buddy Mountaineer Paul always says, watch for some daily dingers, especially with the postseason already in. Are the Brewers going to finally sweep the Dodgers? And if they do, how likely are we to see a Brewers Guardians World Series? Or would it be a Brewers Rays World Series? That would be a fun one. Alrighty, Jeffrey. So it looks like we've got ourselves a nice lineup. I'm going to tell you, this is going to be fun right here because we've got Cade the Diz Freak coming in, artistically incredible, Burt's, Breakaway. What is up, man? Caught on live finally. This will be a good one, no doubt. And of course, we're going to make sure, you know, we're going to do like callers, six minutes each, of course, that way everybody gets their turn. And of course, our first caller, you know, you love them. You'll always get a good laugh, especially if you had a hard day at work. Give it up for the one and only himself, Cade the Diz Freak, aka Cade from Ohio. Cade, how you doing tonight, good buddy? No, man, this week at College Football was freaking great. Oh, man. Let me first say, go Bucs and go Dawgs, because let me tell you, Alabama losing was great. And oh, my God, does it feel great. Miami tastes, Miami's are just ready to roll. I mean, work's been good. I ain't complaining. And speaking of another day. Glad you're doing well, good buddy. I'm glad to see you're doing well. And speaking of another loss, I got y'all losing to Tennessee at home by a touchdown. I don't know, dude. I mean, Tennessee's QB situation is bad. I know y'all are rattled after that Georgia loss. I don't think that hit on third and seven, that rattled him. Oh, yeah, I know that still rattled him. No, I'm telling you right now, like that Bama squad, they're going to be mad as a cock mouth at Knoxville. They're going to get so mad at Knoxville, they're going to make Sean McDonough throw out that damn puberty voice on Saturday afternoon. They're not going to throw that puberty voice out. I'm going to tell you that. I know you're going to hear Sean. Sean McDonough did it last year where Xavier Brown getting a pit six. He's going to do it again this year. He threw his puberty voice out for the game-winning kit by Oklahoma. He'll do it again for Alabama-Tennessee. Well, we'll just see. I got my butt guys taking care of Indiana by two touchdowns. And that defense is going to come in there and play like absolute freaking dogs. I mean, we're just going to throw them, or we're just going to run them into the ground. Fair enough. And let me tell you something else too. I know he's not in the chat, but Misty Gander, let me tell you, he is the worst ass kisser of TJ Rowan and Johnny Animal. And let me tell you, that dude kissed Johnny Olden's ass. And let me tell you too, that dude is a freaking bum. A freaking bum. And I'll tell you, this old dude- What's the untamed time you've been going at TJ and Johnny, man? No, because they're a bunch of morons. They're bums. I swear to you. I wouldn't exactly call morons, but that's just me. No, they are. And I mean, let me be honest, Michigander licks their ass so freaking bad. I mean, he does it to them dumb ladies. What is it? Doreen? Michelle? Let me tell you, he kisses their asses so many goddarn times. I'm telling you. How do I know? Let me tell you, let me tell you, I keep up on Twitter, and let me tell you, it's so sad, dude. Okay, okay. Moving on from the... Hey, hey, hey, Berks, Berks, thank you, thank you. This dude knows what I'm talking about. Pull up Berks' comment. Uh, no. He says I'm not wrong. All right, all right. There you go. But I believe Alabama is going to have trouble with Chelsea. What's your score prediction on Ohio State, Indiana this Saturday, my guy? Uh, 48 to 14. We beat them. 48 to 14. I don't know, man. Didn't you say earlier it was going to be two touchdowns? That's what you said earlier. Yeah, I said it, but I mean... Are you sure they're not stuck in 2006 or something, man? I mean, how do we go from two touchdowns to 48-14? Oh, he said two touchdowns. Oh, man. I lost track, haven't I? I mean, as long as our defense can play, and I know they're going to show up, and Jeremiah Smith is going to absolutely terrorize that secondary, because let me tell you, Indiana losing a lot of their guys to the NFL draft, and their quarterback is not that terrible. I mean, he's not good. How is John Hoover not good when he's thrown 17 touchdowns and zero picks? I still want people... They haven't played anybody tough. They played nobody tough. Ohio State is going to be the tough challenger. They got to play. And it's a fact. It's also probably the toughest team Ohio State had to play. I said it. I mean, let me be fair, Texas. That was an exception. But that's because unfortunately, I have too many stupid fans in the Buckeye fan base that don't agree with Ohio State should play full-throttle football. Let me ask you about the 2014 playoff, Kay. How do you feel about the 2014 playoff? It's sad. It's sad. It should only be 18. Only the top 18 should be in the college football playoffs. I like that. I mean, eight teams, I like it. It should not be 24. Here's four of the eight I can agree on. Ohio State, Georgia, Miami, Notre Dame. I'm only saying that because I have a friend who's a Notre Dame fan, but I at least have a lot more respect for that cat because he's a true Notre Dame fan. Well, by the way, artistically incredible. I do not mean any ill will toward your Texas Longhorns, but I do believe Indiana is... In my mind, I think that they're better than Texas when it comes to coaching, and when it comes to just they don't beat themselves. Now, Ohio State could absolutely beat Indiana on Saturday, right? I even predicted it, which I don't like, right? But Texas, they have so much more talent in Indiana, but Texas just can't get out of their own way. It is ridiculous. Like, Sarkeesian's got to figure that thing out. I don't know if he can. Steve Sarkeesian is not the coach. They make penalties, turnovers. It's insane. You got a great team, Artis, and incredible, but man, it's like there's no reason they should have lost Oakwall with none. Way more talented team. Well, before we get Tardett's call, or Kade, let's also get to your prediction on Alabama-Tennessee right quick. Alabama is going to lose by 50. We already know. Jeffrey, you're incorrect. I'm going to say this is going to be a 50-50 game. Alabama either wins 31-24, or it's 20-23. Tennessee pulls it out 52-49. Well, you said earlier that Alabama was going to lose. I said they were going to lose, but I didn't say by how much. Let me say that too. So there you go. There's two errors. One of your predictions is the win for Alabama. Okay. I like the odds there. I'm saying that this is going to be a 50-50 game. Like I said, Jeffrey, if you weren't paying attention, look, I mean, I know it, but you said earlier that Alabama was going to lose. Therefore, I took that as your prediction, just like when you said Ohio State was going to win by two touchdowns, you didn't say at least two, you said two. And then you said they were going to win 48-14. So I'm just, I'm listening to what you're saying. I'm listening very, very clearly to what you're saying. And it just sounds to me that you're contradicting what you said. It's okay. Everybody can do that. We all contradict ourselves. But I'm just saying that I heard what I heard, and then you changed what you said twice. So just want to be clear about what you think is going to happen. Well, okay. And I will say this, too. I know Ohio State's defense is going to show up against Indiana. And I know Julian Samuels, Jeremiah Snett, legendary Chris Henry Jr. They're going to rip Indiana's defense apart with their tight end. Christian Bennett. By the way, God is an absolute dog. And let me say, Ohio State's defense is going to lay the smack, and they're going to beat Indiana seriously bad. Josh Hoover is about to experience the worst butt-whipping of his life, courtesy of his defense. And my alma mater high school is walking into this Friday night to whip another butt and they're about to claim another victim. And let me tell you, boys, I'm ready for not one, two, but four types of business being handled. My alma mater, Ohio State winning, Miami winning FSU against FSU by alma mater. My alma mater high school wins Friday night. Jeffrey, excuse me. You said alma mater, and then you said Ohio State like two seconds later. So I was just like, are you talking about your alma mater or Ohio State? You didn't go to Ohio State, so I was just- No, but that's my hometown college too. My alma mater high school wins, Ohio State wins, Florida State loses. Oh, let me say 72 to nothing. You got to get that right with Florida State, man. Florida State's a crap hole. They're pressing crap holes. Georgia takes care of business again, against whoever they play by a four touchdown. And I'm praying BYU loses to Notre Dame. I actually scratched that. Notre Dame loses to BYU. Yeah. AIK and Michigander is in the chat now, so. Oh, he comes in at the wrong time. I just wanted Michigander to know that you were saying a lot of kind things about him earlier. Jeffrey, I was not saying anything kind. Let me be clear. He's being sarcastic. That was sarcasm, man. You've seen Charlie Brown. Don't you know sarcasm when you hear it? Yeah. Please, Charlie Brown. I've watched one episode of Charlie Brown. That's it. The Christmas special is iconic and has so many great lines that if you watched it, you would actually be able to use them in everyday conversation. They're that iconic. Okay. Well, Michigander, you want me to give you a recap? I'll give you a recap here. Jackson, hold on. I was just saying you're the biggest bootlegger of the Doreen TJ. Rowan, Johnny Olden. You're the biggest bootlegger. And besides, we all know that you donate all your daggle money to their channels because we all know, and I can say that there's another Wolverine, two Wolverine fans that I know. Well, I wouldn't say two Wolverine fans, another Buckeye slash, and a Michigan Wolverine fan that all can agree that you're the dumbest, and I say the dumbest, stupidest Michigan fan on God's green earth. And let me tell you also this, too. Let me tell you this, too. You know, it wouldn't surprise me that you and TJ Rowan, Michigan, uh, Michigan Michelle, and that dumb, stupid lady Doreen are partying out there like a bunch of idiots. Geez, you all should be sent back to Sesame Street because you're all so freaking stupid, stupid. And let me declare this right here is the baddest Buckeye talking. The baddest. So, Mr. Gander, here's a word of advice to you and a lot of y'all. Well, they got a lot of calls. Hold on, hold on, hold on. This is a word of advice to, this is a word of, this is a word of advice to Mr. Gander. I suggest you get the heck out of here before really I start getting down to business and I start really roasting your butts. So let me just let you know that. Get the hell out of town or things are really gonna get turned to worse. And you don't want me to flip the switch because you want to dance with the devil, son. I will flip that switch. What switch is being flipped here? I'm just telling you, if he wants to dance with the devil, I can flip that switch real quick. That's because you're Charlie Daniels now? No. You ever heard of The Undertaker? Yes, but have you heard of the Charlie Daniels band? You ever heard of that? Is that what you're doing right now? Anyways, gentlemen, go dogs. You know what I'm referencing, right, Jackson? Yeah, I think so. But if no one in chat knows what I'm referencing, that's fine. It's okay. Jeffrey, no one gives a rat's ass, Jeffrey. No one gives a rat's ass. It's because you mentioned Undertaker, all that type of stuff. We're talking about that. I mean, you brought it up. I mean, Charlie Daniels is a really good song about that. Because I only hang out with the badass kids, unfortunately. So, an official member of the badass club, excuse me. Excuse me. Is that an official title? Yes, it is. And let me tell y'all. We will see next week. Isaiah Bones Jones, son. We got a lot of calls. Doesn't Isaiah Jones play for Indiana? Yeah, we got a lot of calls. Isn't that right, Jackson? Isaiah Jones plays for Indiana. So, an Indiana football player ordained Kayden. So, that's great. He's a closet Indiana fan. We figured it out. There you go. All right. So, we got a couple of callers waiting, of course. So, we're going to start off with Darrell, but we went a little longer in six minutes with Kayden, not intentionally, but we'll do six. Was it though, Jackson? Yeah. I think so. Hey, Darrell, what's up, man? Well, a lot's happened today, and a lot of tracks in despair. RIP to college football, right, Darrell? Yes. Listen, Jeffrey, I talked to you about it last week on your show, and we can go another five hours. Well, I'm sure. No, not here. Not here, obviously, Jackson, but we literally could talk five hours about how this is that NASCAR expansion of the chase moment to where it's completely destroyed this integrity and meaning of the sport. I just counted this week games. There's like eight or ten games. Flatly don't matter. Like literally, you could lose this week and you can lose another game. And it wouldn't matter. Alabama, Tennessee, who cares? I mean, obviously, it's a great rivalry, great tradition. Why would your casual Alabama fan, which let's be honest, guys, there's plenty of those, like any big fan base. Same thing with Tennessee. Why would they care? Why would they watch? Because you're telling them, well, if you lose this game and then you lose another game, we might be out of the playoffs. They don't care. So and you're already seeing this, by the way, with the TV ratings, they're down 11 percent year over year. People are figuring out it's, I told you, Jeffrey, that the medicine needs to come through quick and painful. That way, we can get to the other side. And unfortunately, this is going to come, at least the silver lining for me coming next season, is hopefully in four years. When the TV deal happens in 2031, it'll be such a devastating crash that they'll reverse it. And when I mean devastating, NASCAR lost like 50 percent of their audience in like four years. And I'm not talking like steps. Well, I just took the liberty of reading the reply section of your comment about the games that don't matter anymore. And everybody that responded to it is saying you're wrong. And I think that right there shows you how wrong just the perspective is in college football right now. Like I understand the people that are responding to you what they're trying to say, right? Like I know what they're trying to say. Oh, the games are still going to matter for seeding and all that. Nobody cares about seeding. The point is, is that there's no stakes anymore, right? Used to back in the 80s, the stakes were, oh, you want to make the citrus bowl, you want to make the orange bowl or the cotton ball versus some bowl game no one's going to watch because it's on December 27th versus New Year's, right? Then with the 14th playoff, it was, oh, this game matters because you lose, you're out of the playoff. Now it's just, okay, we've got Ohio State, Indiana playing. Ohio State and Indiana can play each other three times this season, and one of those teams can lose all three games and still make the college football playoff. So the game doesn't matter. It matters only for seeding, yes, but does the seeding matter all that much? No. Well, we actually have proof of this because Ohio State was the eighth seed, and they won the national championship. Miami was the tenth seed, went on to win the national championship. Buys are two and six in the college football playoff area. You don't want to buy. And this is what I told you, Jeffrey, was going to happen. You got these big 12 ACC G6 truthers. You know, there's people complaining from the G6 side that every conference didn't get in. They won Kennesaw State in the playoffs, Jeffrey. I'm not even trolling. I've seen that at least half a dozen times today that they want every conference to have an automatic vid. This is just sad, man. It is. And here's the great thing, Jeffrey. You know, my greatest prediction, Michigander will tell you my worst prediction of all time, was the 1%, which, by the way, it has a little asterisk. Just like the title, this has a little asterisk. My best prediction of all time is when they were at four and they were talking about expanding to 12. I said, they're going to go to 32. I was the first person in the entire internet to say they're going to 32. I guarantee you they're going to 32. Because the same logic that applies to 24 applies to 32. And I'm going to make another prediction at night, gentlemen. They're going to 48. We're going to go to 48. We're going to have six and six teams make the college football playoff, okay? I don't know. I just don't agree with it, man. I don't. This is why I told you last week when you were telling me, and I know where you were coming from with it. I really do. And you're like, you use the platform, basically, to speak against it so it will maybe not happen. And this is why I responded to you. And I've done that. If you go back and watch my four plus years of YouTube live shows that I've talked about, all this type of junk. And I was against 12 team back then. It happened. I was against 24. It happened. The only thing we could have done maybe is talk more to power up people, but are they going to listen? No. So that's why I was like, I let everybody know how I feel. I hope most people agree. But again, you read your reply section on that post, and it's just a bunch of people that don't get it. So, they're fine with it. If you could give me a retweet, by the way, I want to try to expand it to as many people as possible to get, you know, just kind of... They already did, by the way. Thank you. It's done. So many sweet flies and stuff. I can't lie to my post earlier, man. I appreciate that, my guy. Yeah, no problem. Well, I've had so many people. I kind of had like the Charlie tearing up enough of that. I know. I've been going to war today against these 24 Team Truthers. They genuinely believe that Oklahoma State beating Oregon means that they can win the national championship. Oregon's not a good football team this year. No, but don't you know they were number six in the preseason polls? Therefore, that's a massive win for the Big 12. And by the way, this was such a popular talking point that community knows, which has to have tons of people approve it. Community noted somebody saying, the Big 12 hasn't had a massive non-conference win since 2022. An objectively true statement, by the way. That's how delusional the Big 12 man is. Yeah, and keep in mind that that was when the Big 12 had Texas and Oklahoma. Absolutely, but it's still an objectively true statement, though, Jeffrey. I mean, since Texas and Oklahoma have left the Big 12, the Big 12 has been mid, which Big 12 fans can't see in that, but it's just true. Right, but here's some silver lining. If anybody doesn't like the 24-playoff team expansion, and I'm assuming that's most people in the chat, here's something you can do. A, don't watch the games, which most of you already don't do, and don't watch the expanded playoff games. B, if you want to root for a team and you want to watch your team play, pray they beat the ACC and G6 or Big 12 team by 40 or 50 points. If it is a complete annihilation blowout, similar to like a 1-16 seed in March Madness, to where they're not even competitive, I do think eventually that would restore balance into this process. Maybe. I mean, I can just imagine, though, there's like an 8-4 SEC team, though, that squeaks in and then wins it all. And it's like, and the very people that are mad that the SEC is getting more teams in the playoffs, they're going to be the exact same people saying, oh, look, an 8-4 team won the entire thing. Therefore, this is why we should have expanded it when it was an SEC team that did it. Yeah. So therefore, they're still missing the complete point because it wasn't a Big 12 team that did it. It wasn't an ACC team that did it. I don't know. At the end of the day, I mean, I'm mostly, everything you say to really just complete agreeance with it. The major just reason I'm not for the expanded playoffs, it's the game's not mattering crap because that's what bothers me the most. I told people years ago, and they were like, you're wrong, you're wrong. Because I said, Ohio State, Michigan, that year that the winner made the playoffs and the loser missed, that game was just sick, right? Like everybody was like, oh my gosh, what a game, and it's for all the marbles and all that. And then this past year or two years ago or whatever, in 2024, Ohio State, oh, they lose to Michigan, and then they won it all. And it's like, and I asked Ohio State fans, would you have rather beat Michigan and not win an Addy or do what you just did, lose to Michigan and win an Addy? And they all said the same thing, win an Addy. And I'm like, well, there you go. So does the game matter? No. That's the point that they all miss. They're like, well, it's still, no, it doesn't. And I knew the Converse Championship games were toast. I already knew that. I said that to you. When they expanded, they're gone. Because for one thing, they're not going to want to keep playing all these extra games for injuries and stuff. But it's also, it's just like, and I love, I saw on there, I love this. It's like, oh, well, the committee's going to turn. So if you have an 11-1 Bama, and 11-1 Georgia, and 11-1 LSU, and you're just going to be like, guess what? The conferences are so big that none of these teams play with each other, so there's no head-to-head or anything. Georgia, we think it's better. So they won the SEC. That's crap. That is total crap. Right. Well, not only that, they all get the same reward now, which is a buy in the college football playoff. The disparity- But how can you determine, are they really going to do it like that though, where they won the conference? But are they going to do it by the score thing, where it's like if you beat team time more than these other teams? I mean, no, I just- No. I don't agree with it. I won the conference is over. Unless you're like Ohio State and you went 12-0, and everybody else in the Big Ten went like 10-2. Yeah, then I'm going to- Yeah, Ohio State won the conference. But the fact you're just getting rid of the Conference Championship game, and you're going to determine who- No. That's not a- If you have three or four 11-1 Big Ten teams or three and four 11-1 SEC team, that's not definitive in any way. That's not a definitive winner. You cannot declare them the winner of the conference. Right. It's not legitimate to me. I agree. It's not legitimate to me too. That's what bothers me the most because it makes the conference mean nothing. I mean, why does it matter? Basically, what conference you're in doesn't even matter anymore, because again, it's all about the playoffs. It's all about winning the National Championship. Like, so winning your conference means nothing. The teams you play in your conference mean nothing. So you could just literally be like Notre Dame. Sorry, Will, but you could be like Notre Dame and play 12 nobodies and make the playoff, and you're good. So this whole argument that if we expand the playoff, we're going to want to play tougher teams, it's still making the argument even better not to play tough teams because you're just making it easier to get into the playoff because, oh, well, we're going to play all the tough games in the playoff. Oh, my God. Correct. I just don't agree. I don't agree. And you know what they're doing is they have a role now where you have reportedly you have to play an automatic P4 opponent. You know, they're just going to schedule somebody from the big 12 or ACC. That's a bottom feeder like Purdue, Illinois, Northwestern, you know, one of these garbage can teams like it. Does anyone believe Georgia playing Akron versus Georgia playing Purdue is somehow significantly that's going to magically change the college football playoff? For all you know, it's going to be a 40-point butt whooping. That's the way it is always TJ Rowan. I saw him. He said a player is probably going to sit out in the game in the next five, 10 years. I've got a very simple question. If you're Jeremiah Smith, the best player in the country, the number one pick in the NFL draft, why would you even play for the rest of this? If this model was incorporated in the next season, why would you even play? Why even risk it? You're going to make it. You have a toenail injury or whatever, and be like, I can't play. And yeah, and then like, oh, you're just magically better after Ohio State's blown out Boise and they blown out Virginia Tech in the first two rounds. And then now you're playing Indiana or something. And then it's like, oh, well, we need them now. I mean, yeah, again, it's just sad. Yeah, you're telling me, Jeffrey, you're not excited for an Ohio State-Oregon State matchup. Oh, yeah. As great as that receiver is in the quarterbacks playing for Oregon State, they have no chance at all. It's like Mr. Gander said here too, you can't have a three-way tie either. You can't have three teams at any one. And then the Congress just hands up three Congress championship trophies. The regular season will be irrelevant. So yeah, again, the SEC just means more. No, it doesn't at this point. It does not matter more because again, you can't even lay claim to winning your league anymore. There's nothing there. And like I said, and this is why I was so anti-expansion past 12 teams, because again, we would never be getting this A&M crap like we got last year, where A&M's 11-1 and they're great. They didn't play anybody because the conference is too big. So they got the easy slate. If you're in smaller leagues and you all play the same opponents pretty much, then you can legitimately tell who won the league. You played everybody. It's fair, but it's not fair if you have 20 teams in these leagues. And oh, well, Alabama over here, sorry to throw my team under the bus, but Alabama over here, they played the worst nine teams in the SEC. They went 12-0. Wow, that's great. But then George over here played all the hard teams and went 8-4, but they'll still make the playoffs though. Why? Everyone was supposed to play similarly difficult schedules. You can't even project how tough a schedule is going to be because of how inconsistent teams are these days. You don't know. So it's like you can try to even it up, but you can't. The conferences are too dag on big. They're too big, and now they don't even matter anymore because, oh, let's get rid of the conference championship game. Let's not even care who wins the league as long as you win the net. And again, and now what's going to be even worse, the real, is that this is another thing that a lot of people aren't looking at. The fact that you have an expanded playoff now is going to make it where there is the possibility, kind of like in college basketball, of a scenario where a team that is not even close to the best team in college football gets somehow the easiest path imaginable into the college football playoff and maybe even wins the whole thing. Which you could say is good because of the fact that, oh, well, it gives more teams a chance. But it's like you're increasing the likelihood of good teams like Alabama and Ohio State losing in the playoff eventually because of the amount of games it requires for them to go all the way. Well, you're also increasing the amount of your injuries that's going to occur. They completely alter the result. Like, what if, God forbid, this happened? But what if Jeremiah Smith tours in the national championship game? To me, we're going back to the years of like 1932 to 1991, where you have some years where you see both teams have that year where they're unbeaten as a whole in the same conference. That's going to be, and they're not playing each other in a team. Yeah, that's almost certainly going to happen. The fact that we're talking about players resting is just sad. In playoff games, Jeffrey. Why do people think this is good? Well, do you want an answer to that question? Well, we know you're going to say some combination of dumps to what Al had. I mean, something to that effect. But the point I'm saying is that we know why the people and the power structure of this want this. Money and all the other reasons we've already talked about. And I'm talking about the fans. Me, you, Jackson, I'm pretty sure you're anti-expansion as well. But all these other people are anti-expansion. That I know. I know a lot of people are anti-expansion. I mean, I also know people that are pro, most of them don't watch football that much. But why do these people think it's good? Okay. So I'm going to answer. So I watched Greg Flugard because he's a 2014 truther, which means, in my opinion, he has no idea what he's talking about. But again, in my opinion, he has no idea what he's talking about. He believes that the middle class of college football is vital for the success. I'm going to take Wisconsin because he used them as an example because a Wisconsin fan donated. He believes Wisconsin, under this scenario, can make the college football playoff. Therefore, if they make the college football playoff, their boosters are more likely to get behind them. More players are going to go to Wisconsin, and their stadium is going to be sold out every single game because people believe that Wisconsin is a playoff-eligible team. Now, what that analysis fails to understand is, A, plenty of teams are making the college football playoff, so you're not that special. B, all your games are completely diluted, therefore, no particular game is significantly important. And C, people have common sense and they understand, well, if you're the 21 seed and you get blown out by the number three team in the country by 50, how much did you really do? An example, this would be Penn State with James Franklin. They expanded the playoffs, he made the final four and he got fired one month into the season. So I just believe he's completely wrong on that. But that's what he believes. Now again, he got his way. And if you want him and people like them to be shown the error of their ways, have the ACC, G6 and Big 12 lose by 40 or 50 every single game, which will most likely happen because they're garbage, top to bottom garbage. Did I answer your question in there? Yeah, you absolutely answered the question. Again, I thought of a good amount of that in my own mind, just hearing it from you and saying it makes a lot more sense. It's just my thing is I don't know, I don't understand why so many people just cannot see what we're saying. Again, I've been saying this for years. Again, I was 10 years old back in 2014, which I can't believe it's been this long, but I was 10 years old and I was like, all right, playoffs, 14. Everybody's like, oh, this is awesome. And I remember my brain was like, I don't like this. You know why? Because it's going to make it where all people care about is the playoffs. I mean, that age is great because again, age like one, all people care about is the playoffs. I'm watching this ECU game. And then the half-time show comes on, and they're talking about Ohio State, Indiana. And they're like, the loser of this game will still make the playoffs probably. And I'm like, yeah. So again, why does the game matter? Indiana could just be like, yeah, we're going to lose probably. So let's just get blown out. Becker don't even play. And then Indiana just wins the rest of the game. I mean, again, they're not going to do that tomorrow, or it's almost tomorrow at this point. Almost, you get my point. The thing is, the game... One hour, 17 minutes away, tell me. The game fundamentally does not matter as long as Indiana wins the rest of their games. And same with Ohio State, if they lose, as long as they win the rest of their games, they're good. But again, if this is 2014 playoff, we're not even talking about this at all. Both Indiana and Ohio State, they're fine, because Ohio State, if they're five and two, they're not even still thinking, we're fine. We're good. And Indiana has one loss right now. They're not losing three more games. So it's just the game doesn't matter. And if the game doesn't matter, then how in the world are you going to have the justification of people paying $500 to go watch a game that has no stakes? Because again, you are going to make the very thing that everyone's the only thing people care about anymore, is that making the play, not about making the Orange Bowl, not about making the Citrus Bowl or the Holiday Bowl or the Poland Setta Bowl or the Jimmy Kimmel LA Bowl or whatever, Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl or all these other stupid bowl games. Some of those might be playoff games. That's great. That's what we wanted to do before. But now it's like, as long as we're going to make playoffs, why do I got to watch this game? Why do I got to spend $500 to watch this game when I watch it at home and the result doesn't even matter? Because we're going to make the playoffs anyway. Right. Just look at this. I mean, you guys had a perfect example of this last week. Georgia, Alabama is a completely meaningless game going forward. Completely meaningless. There's literally nothing that can happen outside of injury that would impact anything for their team. Because why would you even want to win the SEC at this point? Doesn't matter. Right. There's no way. Alabama did not try. I understand Cain is like, oh, Georgia, they blew out Alabama last year. Alabama was very flawed by that point in the season. Alabama gave zero effort in that game. None. Because they did. Literally, I told you, Jax, and I was like, Alabama, if they get blown out by Georgia, they might miss the playoffs. They lost by like 30 or 25 or whatever it was, and we didn't even drop a spot in the poll. And the whole argument was, and all these people on TV were arguing, they were like, well, Alabama's got to get in the playoffs because if not, they'll get rid of the conference championship games. Because if you punish a team that would have gotten in the playoffs, and then they played this game, and then they get eliminated, that's not fair. They'll eliminate the, guess what? They're eliminating it anyway. So what did it matter? Right. Well, the whole argument is just completely, it's like, it's almost like you have it where you got an institution, and it's starting to get whittled away, and you have to defend it as long as you can. But then when you jump shark, it's like, oh, okay, I never saw this coming, so let's just go with it. When everybody behind here saw it coming, but you're just like, oh, well, the conference championship game still has to matter. It still has to matter, so let's let Alabama in, even though they lost by 30. But then, next year, let's get rid of it. Who cares? So last year, I remember where I said a lot, where it was like after- Basically, it's just a whole lot of hypocrisy in my mind, but whatever. Right. I remember last year on the post-game show of Bama O'Call, and I said in the Nets, a couple of weeks of Chris Time Live, Prime Time Live, and through the college shows last year, where it was like all Bama had to do was basically win the Nets. I mean, they were gonna win the Cupcake game, but all they really had to do was beat Auburn at Auburn, and they basically got in to the playoffs. And, you know, because you clinch a spot in the ACC tile game, you're in the playoffs, but don't push your luck. Don't push your luck in the ACC tile game, but they pushed their luck in the ACC tile game last year. There was no way Alabama or any team that made their conference championship game was ever getting left out. Austin, every 9-3 SEC Big 10 team is going to make the college football playoff. That comment confused me, Daryl. I was going to point that one out about Austin. He says if Alabama goes 9-3, they might miss the playoffs. I don't think that's a 9-3 team. No, that's not a 9-3. And a 12-team playoff, yes, which is why the 12-team playoff is the last bastion of game semi-matter. Right. And a 24, and again, we're talking about Alabama. The name for Alabama might make the playoff by the way. Yes, they would. And I understand that Virginia Tech, I understand Iowa, I understand all these teams out there, that they got it in their head. We're gonna get in. And that's cool. That's awesome. And then they're gonna get the vote. And they're gonna get the game against North Carolina. North Carolina is 9-2 or whatever, and Virginia Tech's 8-3. And one of those teams is gonna get in. And Virginia Tech beats Carolina. Oh, they get in, and maybe Carolina's the first team left out or something. I don't know. Then you're like, well, more games matter. And this is what I said years ago. People said more games are gonna matter. In theory, yeah, because you're playing all these games with teams that can make the playoffs, you're just making the big games matter at none. So you're stretching the limits of what a game mattering should be. When it used to, all the games matter because you wanted to go six to six to make a bowl game, but that's long gone. But Virginia Tech, Carolina will matter now. Yay. But Alabama, Georgia, and they're both 11 and 0, that's not mattering because they're both getting a game. What's unlike the NFL and these 2014 Truthers don't understand is college football is so predictable. You can basically go through these top teams and say, well, they're at a minimum worst-case scenario winning nine, 10 games like Notre Dame, Ohio State, Georgia, Alabama, Texas, Miami, on and on. So the idea that they can get upset any single week, doesn't happen on the. I can't remember the last time a team in the AP top 10 lost to an unranked team. I'm not sure when that's happened. Not like Oregon who was ranked and unranked. I'm talking about Texas lost Oklahoma. No, no, I'm saying the final rankings, Jeffrey, in the final rankings at the end of the season. It hasn't happened in quite a while. And that's what I'm talking about in a bowl game. No, no, no. So what I'm saying is, you know how, of course, this season, at the end of the season, they've got the rankings, the final rankings. When was the last time one of those teams that were ranked 1 through 10 lost to an unranked team at any point during the season? Well, it's been a while. What you're trying to say is, it's like you're assuming Oklahoma is going to finish ranked. So then, text there for loss. Or text, this is going to finish outside the top 10. Or, okay. So one of the... Okay. I get what you're saying. I was just looking at it that, yes, top 10 teams lose to unranked teams all the time, but they typically fall out of said rank. Yeah, I got you. If they go 9 and 3 this time, I don't want to hear a single thing about how Ohio State kept them out this time. Well, they're guaranteed in the playoffs, no matter what going forward. That was Ohio State. And that's a completely... By the way, that's a huge game, completely meaningless in going forward, completely meaningless. And you already saw it this year with the TV ratings. I'm not sure if you've kept up with them. Ohio State, Texas got about 2 million illus viewers. There's only been two other games outside of that one that's even cracked the 10 million mark. The ratings are even way down. Exactly. People... Yeah. The ratings, people don't care. People, the casual fan is completely tuned out, and they're going to continue to now. And this is going to be a deep and painful process for College Football. And rightly so, by the way. They have completely earned it. A gruesome level of pain. And listen, my team, the Kentucky Wildcats, we're going to benefit from this because we're going to play the playoffs. But here's the problem. That's a perfect segue, because I want to get your predictions on Kentucky, Oklahoma this Saturday, my guy, and get your predictions on Alabama, Tennessee. Then we got to get to our next caller, my guy. What do you think about Kentucky, because like Kentucky is coming off the last two wins against South Carolina LSU, which it was an incredible fashion. And this was like something you write in a book, write in a fan fiction or something that you make in a movie. Kentucky wins 35 to 34 with a game win two point conversion. And it's been an overtime for two consecutive weeks. That's like the first time that's ever happened, like ever. Yeah, it's also the same score 35, 34. Yeah. It's like something you write in a fan fiction or in a fanfic or something you make in a movie or write a book in. Oklahoma is coming off a huge win. Yeah, the double letdown spot. Yep. When looking at Kentucky, Oklahoma on Saturday night, Daryl, how you think is going to win that one to me? So Oklahoma's favored currently by six and a half. The line has moved from seven to six and a half. So you think it's got something to do with the blue blood status for Oklahoma? And if they were like, say, a Wake Forest, you'd think they would be like. No, they've got much more talent. They've got much more talent than Wake Forest. Well, the thing is, Jackson, is that there's two reasons, okay? Nebraska, Oregon. Oregon's favored by about the exact same as the Kentucky, Oklahoma game. They're favored by like seven, seven and a half, whatever. And you could think, well, Oregon, no quarterback with Dante Moore. Nebraska playing a lot better, just took Indiana to the brink. Indiana struggled with Nebraska, and Nebraska did play them well. But Nebraska still has given no evidence to anybody in the college football world that they can beat anybody, right? They get close, but they can't win. So even though I did pick Nebraska, I think they will win. They haven't proven that. So that's why the spread's where it is. Like Daryl said, the talent's still there for Oregon all over the field, that they could still get it done theoretically. Same with Oklahoma. Oklahoma's got a lot of talent. They're at home. They just cut off a big win. And in Kentucky, especially with Kentucky, Nebraska's a brand, but they've been bad for so long. Kentucky's not a brand. So there is that perception that they can't win this game. Okay? That's what Indiana was in 24, when they were like a top-10 team almost, and they were barely favored to beat Michigan at home, who was like 5-5. And why is that? Because it's Indiana. It took a long time for people to finally believe that Indiana was actually in a good, because of the brand. If Will Scott has Kentucky great for two straight years, they'll start being favored in games like this. Well, one thing is for sure, Oregon has definitely failed the loss of Will Stine for sure. Yeah, we broke Oregon. I just kind of want to break it down just for a little bit, if you don't mind. That's all right. Kentucky-Scott reminds me a lot of the 2024 Indiana team, where they're not going to beat themselves. They are going to make the right coaching decision in old times. We are not going to be talented enough. We do play a much harder schedule in that 2024 Indiana team, so I think that could cause this loss. I do think our quarterback and head coach is better than Oklahoma being Kenny Minchie over John Munteer and Will Stein over Brad Venables. Brad Venables is way too conservative for my liking. If John Munteer commits a few turnovers, Kentucky will win this football game. If he doesn't, Kentucky will lose. That's what it's really going to come down to. Also, Kentucky can't have those fluky pick sixes, fumble return for inside the five-yard line, then score special teams touchdowns. We can't have any of that happen. If Kentucky plays a clean, sound football game, we will win this game. If we don't, we will lose this game, which is great because we control the outcome of the game and not Oklahoma. Even in that Texas game, Oklahoma was really at the mercy of Texas making mistakes. With Arch Manning throwing that pick late, the special teams touched now with the blocked pun. So I think Kentucky is going to win this game, and I do think there is a difference in beating your rival on a walk-off field goal, especially them being number one that high, and then winning in overtime. I think Kentucky doing that the previous week has really left off the, they're kind of used to that high feeling because they've already done it once so they're going through it again. Whereas, Oklahoma hasn't been in this position. I think it's going to be very low scoring, very ugly football game. Either team can win. I don't think the spread should be that high for this low scoring game. I'm going to Kentucky 14-13, and in Alabama, Tennessee, low scoring, ugly dog of a game. Get you a pillow, get you a blanket type game. You're going to be taking a nap, dear, and if you're a casual fan because it's going to be. You can tell while you're at it. Yeah. If you love punts, this is going to be a great game for you. If you love hidden yardage, field position, penalties, deciding games, Tennessee, Alabama is going to be for you. I couldn't disagree with Kaden Moore. I don't think either team combined is going to score. Both teams combined is going to score 52. I do not see that happening in any world. Turnovers is going to be huge. Coaching decisions is going to be huge. I'm going to go Alabama to win this game 10-7. I think it's going to be a big 10-S game, and I think the talent edge for Alabama, and I just trust their quarterback so much more than Tennessee right now. That I feel like you have to go Alabama. Yeah. Well, all right, Darryl. It's awesome. Before Darryl goes, last thing, I want to pull up this real quick. This is funny, man. This is the hypothetical CFP right now that someone put on here. And dude, there it is. Louisville. Austin, Louisville is alive, man. Louisville is alive. Right now, three and three start, but they're alive, man. Yeah, this is crazy. Is this last year's or what is this? I don't know. Maybe it is last year's. I don't know. What's Georgia Tech 7? Maybe it is last year. I have no idea. I just thought it was funny seeing Louisville, man. I think, like, you're going to have these teams, like Louisville, who's three and three. Look at their next five games. We're going to make the play. This from last season. Yeah, but if you look at Louisville's next five games, the rest of the schedule, they played Georgia Tech, Stanford, Syracuse, North Carolina, Pittsburgh. They would probably win all those games. I mean, well, maybe not. I don't know. If they win all five of those games, they got to play Kentucky. If they beat Kentucky, they're going to the playoffs. Jeffrey? Yeah, next year, they would, for sure. They're locked. A 3-3 Louisville team that lost to NC State, who lost to Vanderbilt. Vanderbilt is going to the College Football Playoffs. See, that's going to make that Louisville-Kentucky game matter, Dereel, so it's better. It's better. Oh. Oh, gosh. That'll be painful. A Kentucky-Louisville game that doesn't matter, Jeffrey, because Kentucky's 10-2 or 11-1. Also, for anybody who doesn't, like, this is the last year of SEC Conference Championship. Can Kentucky win one? Wouldn't that be kind of cool, guys, if Kentucky won the last Conference Championship? Just kind of an odd piece of history. Hey, at least Indiana got one in before it was over. Yeah. That'd be cool. Like, we're three and one in the standings right behind you guys in Georgia. I was hoping you guys would win that way, would be number two behind you guys, and then we would have some weird tiebreaker with Georgia. So I kind of need you all to drop another game at some point because you lost to Georgia. Yeah, not going to happen. I'm not dropping another game. But we're pretty close. Please drop one more. I want to experience another game. Make Georgia drop two games. Georgia drop in two games with their schedule? You don't think Ole Miss can beat Georgia? I need one more. I need one more. I want that Bama, well, well, I mean, we'll probably get that Bama-Georgia rematch in the playoffs. No, no, it's just so sad the way the sport's going. But anyway, guys, I'm going to get going. Thank you for having me on, Jeffrey. I'm sure you're going to have a live stream soon or Jackson will be there. And we're going to have a 10-hour conversation when we expect it to be only five. That's just the way it goes. Yeah, do not be keeping Jeffrey up till 5 a.m. He's got stuff. No, he kept me up till 5 a.m. Yeah, y'all don't need to keep each other up till 5 a.m. It doesn't matter, man. It's like it was a great time. Just try not to do that. But, you know, it's hard, man, because there's always so much stuff to talk about. Oh, I mean, it's always awesome. Don't get me wrong. It's always great talking with you, Daryl. Like, it's crazy times right now is all I can say. Well, let's not on the Jaguars now, Daryl, or the Tetsons. You're going to be in for a wild one. Oh, yes, I am. I'm watching the Seahawks Denver game. I'll get going, guys. Have a great rest. Imagine the NFL has 32 team playoff. So they all get in, right? None of the games matter. What are you playing for? Just saying, I'm just throwing that out there. Oh, man. Have a good one. Have a great night. Let's say good-bye. Yeah, y'all need to be keeping each other till 5. Y'all are going to be like, ugh. Dude, it was almost 6, man. It was like 530. I'm like... How is that after a fit? Like, you didn't feel like a zombie. Affordable is bad. You feel rough for like three days. I'm probably still feeling it right now, honestly. But I mean, it's tough because it just completely throws your sleep schedule out of whack. But regardless, it was a great conversation with Drew. I mean, again, I mean, it's just, I try not to be a pessimist, man. I really don't. Oh, yeah. I try not to be. Like, I don't classify myself as a pessimist on the stuff mostly. But with this, there's just little reason to be optimistic. The only thing you can be optimistic for about a 2014 playoff is there are more games. If all you care about is more games, then I guess. But other than that, there's no advantage because a lot of the games are going to suck and like I said, it completely lessens the impact of the regular season. So I mean, I just don't know why people don't see that it's going to make that happen. You're already seeing it. Again, I asked Ohio State fans and they said, yes, we would rather win a daddy than beat Michigan. And the thing is, I understand that people are going to say, well, Jeffrey, before this, you would have asked, would you rather be me? And they would have said the same thing. They would have rather won a daddy. But the difference is, is that making the National Championship game was the National Championship game. Making a 14 playoff was a 14 playoff. Now it's so easy to make the playoff that if Ohio State's 11 and won and they got some injuries, they could just rest against Michigan. That's the difference. That's the difference. That's all I'm saying. That is the difference is that the game, they don't need the game to make the playoff. They don't need the game to win a Natty. They had to beat Michigan before to win a Natty. Now they don't. That's the difference. It's pretty simple. I don't know why it's so hard for people to see. And like Mayfield says in chat, it's hard not to be a pessimist today. Like I said, it's better to be an optimist. It is. And on a lot of things, there's a lot of great reasons to be optimistic on stuff. But when it comes to this expansion junk, I'm not seeing it. I don't see any optimism. It is terrible. It is completely gonna just screw up a lot of things in college football. It already has. A lot of people are gonna have a rude awakening when they see the after effects of this stuff. For sure. And it's not going well like they think it will. No. But you know something? What's something you're always doing any time you go... If you need to go shopping for, you know, anything in general on your laptop, you know, your phone, what's something you're doing? What's the first thing that starts with an A? We go on Amazon. I know exactly what you're talking about, Jackson. Yep. That's right. Because you're shopping on Amazon. So if you're shopping on there, please use the Voice of College Football link in the chat. So what you want to do is use it in the chat and the description below. And at Breakaway, you're always welcome to call in. We had a fun time with you calling in. I guess it was a couple of weeks ago. So you're welcome to come back in anytime. Anybody that's not called in, you're welcome to call back in anytime. No worries. We're not having the 30 minutes. So no worries. We'll make sure everybody's getting their turn, getting their calls. Burt, how are you doing tonight? Good. I've been a long way. Dude, no, you're good, man. Ah, dude, I'm pretty pissed off with the 2014 playoff, dude. Your team is still alive right now. You know, it's so great. It's amazing. I know. No, I don't like that, dude. Like, it just makes us look soft, you know? Like, this is Michigan, man, a blue blood program. Wolverines, man. Like, I don't want to get in to the playoffs with 24 teams. I'd rather get in with, like, 4 or 12 or something like that. It'd make it more valuable. You know what I'm saying? Like, that's what I'm pissed off with right now. Burt, let's talk a little bit about which thing about Alabama-Tennessee, my guy. And I'm going to go ahead and point out the... pull up the entry availability report that we got from today. So we know Colman Williams is out. He's not playing on... He's not playing this because we got the report on Monday that he was doubtful, which was a nice way of saying out, which, I mean, I kind of wish they'd do... which they would just say... That's a nice way of saying he's out. That way, we could just go, um, could just say that, you know? But we got Justin Hill probable, which is a likelihood that he's in. Raisten Delgatti is doubtful, which is a nice way of saying out. And Kayden Jones out. Nick Sherman out. Jeremiah Beaman out. Terrence Green out. Desmond Umazulu out. Raisten Delgatti is doubtful, which is likely that he's out, of course. But Faisal Brandon, we don't really know whether he's playing on Saturday or not, but we know George McIntyre is starting on Saturday for the Volunteers. And the Volunteers have Harmon Dodd, Sifaruk, Lewis, Moe Jr. and Davis out. So how, what are you guys thinking about when hearing like these injury updates for Alabama and Tennessee? Oh, you guys are pretty good, honestly. You guys are going to beat Tennessee pretty well. This is going to be another 24, 20-plus point. You know, you guys are going to win. Like I said, Alabama has too much talent, way too much talent. And I feel like, you know, you guys were pretty careful with this Alabama team this year going into this season because you don't feel like... That's what I felt when, you know, you and Jeffrey were talking before Alabama played was, you know, you guys were a little cautious. And I get it, you know, I'm like that with Michigan. But I think what you guys need to realize is this team has a lot of talent, got a lot of transfer portal talent, and you guys should easily beat Tennessee by 24 points. Like just how you killed, you know, like I said about South Carolina, right? You guys destroyed them. And Kentucky, I knew you guys were going to destroy them. So this is just another easy game at the end of the day. And I'm just going to be honest with you. Keelan Russell is looking really good. I understand Georgia, you know, was not a great game for you guys, but Georgia just has a really good defense. Keelan Russell still did not play that bad, actually. Even though 50 percent of his, he had a 50 percent completion rate, it wasn't the worst. He could have done way worse. So yeah, easy win for you guys. These injuries don't matter too much. They're not like extreme major injuries. So yeah, 20, give me 24 even more. I wouldn't be surprised if they win by 30. They're just that good. We got this guy, Joka8808. Don't mess up your name, my guy. He says, Alabama fan, I think they'll win but not by 24. I hope Bama does beat Tizzi by 24. But I know that's probably not going to happen. That's why Bama won 28-20 when we did the score predictions, not just through here, but on the final break. The final breakdown video that we did on the channel with Tucker Harlan and Wyatt Fulton from Tide 100.9, that's a video that's going to be released tomorrow here on this channel on Alabama at The Voice of College Football. Yeah. Honestly, Tennessee, you can't really rely on their past game. So that's good for Alabama because Alabama has, unfortunately, been disappointing on the second day. But Alabama can raise a lot of hell on the quarterback, especially with their defensive linemen. They could definitely do that. Same with their linebackers. They can scare the living daylights out of George McIntyre. But Deshaun Bishop, he is a guy Bama needs to be looking out for because he is a hell of a running back on Saturday to look out for. I mean, that Knoxville crowd is going to get him pumped up and whipped up. I'll be honest. Alabama will probably go 11-1. That's what I feel like they could go before to play SEC Championship. Oh, yeah. You're in the HC. Tile game, and you're basically in the 11-1 record. So all that we really would want is just to get our taste for revenge on the Georgia Bulldogs at HC. Tile game. Good, really. I mean, I would love that. I mean, that would be like a storybook ending right there. Yeah. That's another thing. You would get rid of revenge and possibly remeeting in a conversation game if you don't have one. But whatever. That's another. But that means you'll get revenge in the playoff games. The whole reason that I was a little skeptical on Alabama is for the reason alone that they haven't won in Knoxville several tries now, which is concerning. And the fact that they're coming off a pretty emotional loss, all that being said. You know, a game that they, probably 85% of America felt Alabama should have won. And the way they lost, you know, it just, it could go one or two ways. Either Alabama is furious and they blow the doors off of Tennessee, or they struggle. I think that what helps Alabama out is that the weak side of Tennessee's team is offense. So Alabama's defense, which at times can be a little spotty, can probably afford to make mistakes, and it won't be the end of the world, because Texas sure made a lot of mistakes, and they didn't lose to Tennessee. Whereas Tennessee's defense is pretty good, but Keelan Russell is very good, so I think he'll be fine. And he's already played in tough environments, and he's done fine. I mean, Keelan, you could argue, is tougher than anything he's faced, but still, I think he'll be all right. So that's why I have Alabama winning the game. I just think that there's enough going in Tennessee's favor that they could keep it close, possibly. There we go. Yeah, no, I think it's an easy win. But no, I get what you guys say. Yo, listen, I'm just curious, because I truly believe my fan base is so stupid, I ain't gonna lie, the dumbest in college football. The fact that a lot of people, do you remember when Kailin DeBoer, there was those rumors that, oh, if they lose to Oklahoma, if they lose to Oklahoma, he's gonna go get the Michigan job? I don't remember that. They are so stupid. That was so annoying. Dude, they are the most dumbest fan base. I'm sorry, I'm getting sick of them now. Like, he was not, why the hell would he leave for a shittier job? Like Alabama was the best job in college football, top three. That was just so stupid. I'm sorry. He said Larry Ellison. Larry Ellison. No, Larry Ellison ain't shit, dude. He just, he ain't, yeah, it's all bull crap, dude. If they like, he was gonna stay at Alabama. People were telling me all my timeline burst. They were like, Larry Ellison, Jeffrey. Larry Ellison is why- They're the stupidest fan base. I don't care what anyone says. Stupid. They're just really, really, really, really- Some people are so passionate about their team that it can make them semi-delusional. Now, I'm not saying that's all Michigan fans at all, because a lot of them are smart like every other fan base. Alabama's got completely delusional fans, too. But when you're really passionate about your team, it can make you semi-delusional and make you think things are just completely- I know what they call it. Wow, my team is good and they're not. Or, you know what I mean? Most Michigan fans are not that delusional that they cannot tell Bryce Underwood sucks. They get it. He sucks. You know, you don't have to try to put the blinders on it. And through these really, really, really just 4K glasses, they get all the smudge and the dirt off, and all you're seeing is just glorious sunshine. And then you watch Bryce Underwood play, and your glasses are, oh, he's good. Look at that play. And it's like one play out of like 50 that are bad. But you're not seeing that, because all you saw was that one play. I don't know. I mean, I don't even know if I'm making sense. Basically, what I'm just trying to say is that, again, some fans just are delusional because they love their team so much. And that's fine, but it's just annoying when they act like they're not delusional and that they're completely right. And everybody knew DeBoer wasn't gonna leave for Michigan. Everybody knew that, but there was a lot of Michigan fans thought that. There's a lot of Michigan fans that knew what happened though, and they were 100% fair. But like some of them did, and that's fine. You know, again, there's nothing wrong with even hyping it up. If you're a media Michigan person, and you want to hype that up and say, oh, we might get DeBoer, that's fine. That's good for clicks. There's nothing wrong with that. There's nothing wrong with that. I mean, we've done speculatory stuff too, aren't we? That's fine. You could speculate. But like anybody that legitimately believe like this is going to happen, just like the people that thought that they were gonna get Signetti at Penn State, and the people at Michigan that thought they were gonna get Signetti. I'm like, he's not leaving. He's not leaving. I don't know what like he literally people were trying to tell me they're like, Jeffrey, because Signetti is one of Natty, he's going to leave Indiana. He's not that's like the very reason he's not going to leave Indiana. He just did the very thing that you leave programs like Indiana to do. So if he just wanted Natty in Indiana, why are you going to leave? You just accomplished what you said cannot be done at a program like Indiana. Therefore, Signetti would have to leave to do that. He just did it. So why does he have to leave? He's making $13, $14 million like every other coach at LSU, or BAM, or whatever. Why would he leave? More resources. Indiana's got the resources. What are we talking about here? Well, Burt, before we go to our next caller, what's your score prediction on Michigan Penn State, and what's your score prediction on Alabama TSC? It wouldn't surprise me if you pick Penn State, but- Holy crap, dude. This is going to be the saddest game ever, Michigan Penn State. I call it the Animal Planet Bowl because no one's going to give a shit about that game, really. But like I said, man, it's going to be bad. I wouldn't be surprised Penn State wins because Michigan's penalties and stuff, but I know I'm just going to go. I always like, I won't be surprised. It's a 50-50 game, but I'll just say Michigan 14, Penn State like nine or something like that. Yeah, I think I want something like that too, Burt. I do because it's at home. I think it's at home. Yeah, but I want to be surprised Penn State wins because like, let's be real here, man. All these next games that Michigan has, they're good enough to actually maybe even beat them, but then they're bad enough to actually lose to all of them, like actually. And I mean it. It's a 50-50 game, man. They're all 50. It's sad that these games are 50-50 because they shouldn't be. It's just so sad, dude, like what this program is right now. I'm sorry. If Alabama was the Michigan spot right now, Alabama fans would be just losing their mind. And what's your prediction for Alabama, Tennessee, Bert? Today, you said, Alabama by 24, what's your final score? The final score for Alabama, Tennessee, I got Alabama's 33. I got, or 34. Actually, let's do 35 and Tennessee 14. I feel I just am really confident. And also, last thing I just want to say, Mr. Gander, you're not a smart Michigan fan. You literally had them going 11 and 1 predicting this season, and you've probably predicted Michigan the last two seasons making the playoff. So you're not a smart Michigan fan. In fact, you are even, you're actually as retarded as the rest of the fan base. So I'm just letting you know right now. So don't think you're a smart guy. That's all I wanted to say. So, all right, take care, man. Happy Crate Night. Yeah. Well, and I was saying that because I remember last year, I was going on like the Michigan Quad Show for Bama O'Callan and everybody was just like saying, you know, there was like, oh, you know, DeBoer, you know, DeBoer, you know, it was kind of like everybody was just kind of saying it a hundred times in a row, like, you know, just say it enough times, it'll happen. And I was like, look, when are we, I don't see DeBoer leaving. He seems like the kind of guy that wants to finish what he starts. This is my thing. I personally think that most fanbases have delusional people in them. That's just normal. I mean, especially any fanbase that's large enough and wins enough where you can't have delusion. You know, again, like, I'm not going to sit here and pretend that Alabama is not immune to this. I mean, we remember after the A&M game that year that you remember what happened that one year after Alabama lost A&M. I'm not going to say it, but if people remember, they remember. Alabama fans were doing stuff that I've watched. Yeah. So again, Alabama, they have delusional people. The issue is, I think, especially right now, Alabama and Michigan and Ohio State fans, rather, online, are just very vocal, and a lot of them say stuff on Twitter. Not the fans, just fans, but a lot of them on Twitter say a lot of stuff that's completely bizarre. So it makes people think that there's a disproportionate amount of people in those fan base. Jeffrey, we got our next caller. So ladies and gentlemen, so kind of like how TJ is the older brother of The Voice of College Football Network, Nessie Lahn is my partner in crime at College Sports Insiders and a great host of the Lothan West Virginia podcast, where he's on twice a day, twice a night. They call him the older brother of the Lothan College channels. Give it up for Mountain Neer Paul. How you doing tonight, good buddy? Hey guys, how we doing tonight? Doing good. All right, how you doing tonight, good. I came up with a song before I came on tonight. You ready for this? Let me finish the song. Rocky Top will always be home sweet home. They're kicking their ass. They're done. They're not doing anything. Are you talking about Tennessee for this week? Tennessee doesn't get across the 50 in this game. Seriously, in my opinion, I think Alabama is way superior. Coming off a tough game, no way, no how, does Alabama lose this game. It's over with, man. Oh, man. Yeah, I mean, like, Tennessee has not been looking too good, like, so far. I mean, like, the passing game has been atrocious on their end. And there, again, like I've mentioned, Alabama's secondary has been disappointed so far, but luckily, the defensive line has been taking care of business. And if Alabama can utilize their run game on Saturday against the Tennessee defense, that's where they can really thrive. Like, give it to Treshawn Brown, feed EJ. Carell some carries, give Daniel Hill some carries, give it to everybody in the run game, and you're good to go. I just think there's too much outliers in college football, though, still, to say that, you know, a game like... I get confidence, and Alabama should be confident going to this game, but Ole Miss Florida, that game made everybody think Florida was a top-10 team, and with great reason. They completely destroyed Ole Miss. They were like one of the best teams in college football. And then after that game, they just proceeded to do nothing. So, that's why, bad as Tennessee looks, they could still have a good game. That's the only reason that I'm not like, oh, Alabama is going to go there and destroy them. They could, and I hope they do, but it's like, there's just too much variance still. That's the only thing people argue in pros and pros about the NIL era, is there's more parity, and there's more, you know, positive upsets and all that kind of thing. It kind of is true, kind of. Super Team Age is over, yeah, I think so. I mean, you're going to get a random Indiana or something, but for the most part, I mean, the age of the Super Team is pretty well over. You know, I looked at this game earlier in the week, did a couple hours of research on it, and what I gained from it and gleaned from it was, you know, obviously, Bayesian is battling that shoulder injury. So McIntyre is back in the game. It will be his second start in a row, and I thought he threw those two back-breaking interceptions last week against Arkansas. And, you know, I just think you got to keep pressure on this quarterback and make him really flustered in this game. Obviously, the environment at Rocky Top, third Saturday in October, it's a classic rivalry game. So it's definitely going to be riled up in there. Obviously, Ryan Williams is a big, big deal here because of the knee injury. Does that mean Bernard or somebody else can step up and ensure Alabama gets those deep vertical throws that they've been having every week? Because I think that's going to be a big, big key in this game. And obviously, Keelan Russell, I think, at times, is going to be the best player on the field in this game this week. There's no way that I can see Tennessee with the backup quarterback beating Alabama with Keelan Russell the way he's been playing, even down a wide receiver, I just don't see it happening this week. And I wouldn't look for reasons for Tennessee to potentially contribute. When if Faison was playing, they would have a better chance, but there's no way with this backup and the way Alabama is having a chance right now. Oh, right now, they're close to having a drink with the long branch of Mississippi 80 than having a chance against the band with defensive linebackers. Yeah, that's what I was saying earlier this week on the Monday show on Alabama Crimson Tide Live. I'm like, we were talking with Tucker Harlan. He said that, in my opinion, because he said he argued in favor that they were a better shape right now with McIntyre than Faison. And it's like, yeah, that might be true, but the ceiling is higher with Faison. And it's like, so right what Tennessee's doing right now is protecting Faison, which is fine, because he might be hurt or something, whatever, or they don't want Tennessee fans to turn on him because he's playing bad, like the Niko situation or whatever. It's like, I understand that. But the problem is, is that when you've got a guy that his ceiling is still very, very high, and you're not playing him, then you're basically just you're capping yourself. Like, Tennessee with Faison, you saw the potential against Texas. He made some plays. He was close. Made some plays, and it's just like now they're just mediocre. They're just a mediocre team. The defense is only going to save him in this game if they have a shot. But they just don't have the ceiling anymore to be able to hang, probably, with good teams with this guy, McIntyre. Can I say something, Jeffrey? West Virginia plays this weekend. Man, they used to come on the wind team against this team. Yeah, I picked West Virginia this week, which I regret picking either team in that game, honestly, but I did pick West Virginia. I've picked against West Virginia lately, and it's worked. I like Hawkins. Hawkins is a good player. The defense for West Virginia... See, the thing is, here's the problem. And I'm not clinging on Ritz-Rod or West Virginia because they are better than they've been. But the problem is everybody thought that West Virginia was going to be really, really good because we take it into account that both sides of the ball was going to be better. And what West Virginia looks like to me is Kevin Wilson, Indiana. Yeah, they can put up 50, but they can't stop anybody because Indiana fans and the Kevin Wilson era, they're like, oh my goodness, we're actually fun to watch. We're putting up 40 against Ohio State and we got Sudfeld and all these players. That's great, but you're giving up 60. You can't win games like that. Hawkins is a good player. He's actually good. But their defense is so bad. I didn't know their defense was going to be this bad. Their defense sucks. Well, I mean, you invested too is a problem. Like you paid $2 million to get Zach Alley from Oklahoma. He was calling the plays at Oklahoma. When he got to Oklahoma, they went up 40. I've already showed this on multiple other places. But when he got to Oklahoma, Inventables gave him the keys. They got better. And I think it's because they had the dudes, right? West Virginia, unfortunately, for the second year in a row, because as I told you guys a couple weeks ago, because they got hired in late December of the first year, they had 11 new starters on offense and defense. And because they had to go all seniors, they lost 40 seniors coming into this year, they had to restart again. And you have 11 new starters on defense two years in a row. So it's just impossible to be good. I mean, I thought they were going to be, if you just had a bad defense, you're probably one loss or undefeated. That's how good the offense has been right now. It's historically great. Like Michael Hawkins Jr. has 21 touchdowns at almost 2,000 yards right now. Like, what are we even talking about? It's insane as a quarterback. Anyways, obviously, I think at this point, we're all pretty well accepting of bowl eligibility. We also realize, and here's the other part about this team, there's only a couple seniors on the entire team. It's all freshmen and sophomores. Michael Hawkins Jr. is a sophomore. Kim Cook has another year. The entire offensive line can come back. It's, you know... Evan Brown. Some of the defensive players can come back. But, I mean, at the end of the day, the offense is fixed. So you can move on to the defense this offseason, and Rembaker has already said publicly, we thought ahead. We've got the money to keep everybody. Now, you're not going to keep everybody. But here's the good thing, Jeff. Where else would Mike Hawkins be able to play anyway? Not an elite thrower of the ball. He's an elite runner of the ball, and perfect for Rich Ron's offense. So you don't really have to worry about your quarterback getting poached, unless it's to a service academy, maybe. So, I mean, you feel pretty good about the future, even though things seem dreary in the midst of a three-game skin. I don't want to make it all about West Virginia. I know this is your call on Chopra, Alabama. Yeah, it's not wrong with that. I mean, it's good talking about West Virginia, too. And I mean, the thing is, like, again, I legitimately was excited for your team because I thought that they'd be better, too. I wasn't as high on them as you two were, but I thought they could be seven and five, maybe eight and four best. And that's still possible. But I mean, some people were telling me, Jeffrey, they're going to go ten and two. And I'm like, the only reason why that's possible was because the Big 12 is so volatile that you could be average and maybe go ten and two. It's possible. But again, no one ever anticipated this bad of a defense. It is historically bad. And like you said, I mean, it's a good thing that a lot of guys are young, so the growth potential is there. But I mean, you've got your defensive coordinator saying, like, we've got like the worst defense in the country. I like the honesty, but that's not making it better. Like, they're not improving at all. And I don't know how they can improve it. And what makes it worse is, like, they're not playing teams that are that good. So it's like, why can't you stop them at all? Oklahoma State's pretty good. Arizona's pretty good. The problem with the Arizona argument is that they had a ton of injuries in this game, and they still gave up 52. That's the problem. Fafita basically just carried the entire thing on his own, which I said to a West Virginia fan, when I picked that game, I was like, well, if Arizona wins, because I've had Arizona winning by, like, seven, it's just going to be Fafita carrying it himself, and he did. So that's sad. West Virginia should have won that game. Arizona's not healthy, and Arizona's not great. They're not that great. Oklahoma State, I'll give you, just because their offense is just insane, but Arizona's not that great. Yeah, we'll agree on that. I mean, I think they're a much better team than people give them credit for. I think it's once in a while. They're fine, but I'm just saying, if West Virginia had, to your point, a defense that could just stop anybody at all, they win that game. There's no question. Well, I mean, you gave them 21 points. You had two inside the five you gave away, and you lost the fumble that they returned. So that's your final score. Obviously, you can't take those plays back. One of the plays was wild. I've never seen anything like it. I went back and looked. The play, it was second goal on the goal line. You get stuffed, and then you're just laying there for three seconds on top of the pile, and they ripped it out. That's crazy. I go back and watch it. It's pretty crazy. I was like, man, how is forward progress not stopped? At the time, I was livid. Forward progress makes no sense anymore, because there's games all the time where they'll blow something dead or the guy's still clearly moving forward, and then there's other plays where they just let it go for like 10 seconds. I don't get it. It makes another one of those rules where they're so inconsistent with it from game to game, from ref crew to ref crew. It's just irritating. I think it should be one of those things that's reviewable, right? I mean, make everything reviewable. I mean, yes. And the way they're able to call it in from the booth, I mean, you really don't have to go to the booth with the staff on every play, right? Like, just have the booth okay, yes or no. Take, even if you give them a 20 second clock to make a decision or something to keep the games moving along. I don't know. I'm just throwing things out there. But yeah, we're upset, obviously, because it's been seven years, right? Grip Neil Brown came in and drained all the equity that the West Virginia logo had built up since the 80s, you know, won the National Championship games, won the cusp of others and winning playoff games. Like, all that's gone. So it sucks as a West Virginia fan, the group in that era to deal with it. I think some of us still feel like we should be there, much like Nebraska in some ways, right? Just to a lesser extent. So, anyways, I don't want to keep you all here all night with it, but I do think we beat Cincinnati this week, and I do think we get back on track. And then we've got TCU, a team we should be able to beat. And then you lose to Texas Tech, although they're gettable if you play well enough, but our defense is too bad. And then you probably can beat a Kansas team. And then you've got Houston and Utah in the season. So it's going to be kind of tough. There we go. Well, Paul, I am hoping to see West Virginia beat Sensi and TC., which I think we will, but it will be, we'll see what happens with the rest of the season, because it's going to be crazy seeing what's happening for November, like with Texas Tech, Kansas, Houston, and Utah. Although I'm always going to be rooted out by Utah, West Virginia being our rivalry week, and not seeing Pitt, West Virginia, or Utah, BYU. That's what was wrong with the Big 12 commissioner. Oh, man. That's a missed uptake. Put it on Black Friday or something. Yeah. We appreciate you figuring out coming here, pick Bam, or pick Bam at a win, and fret a little bit about West Virginia, and then... The best part about Big 12 is the way it goes up. That's it. I'm also enjoying making Notre Dame fans mad this week by picking... by picking Dewey in that game. West Virginia. Dewey was picking BYU as well since he's an Indiana guy. I did pick Notre Dame, but I have it close. We have a good friend, Will, and Dewey is a Notre Dame fan, and he picked Notre Dame by a lot. I did not. I think BYU will hang in there. I almost picked him because of the home crowd, Provo, but I mean, the prop LJ Martin, man, and maybe I'm overthinking that in there, but I feel like that's the difference, because Bear Bachmeier is going to have to do so much there, and I don't think he's going to be able to get it done. If it becomes a tight windows game, yeah, Bear Bachmeier is not. He has shown the propensity. Go watch the West Virginia game last year. Maybe that's just a common theme, but if you go watch the West Virginia game last year, he hit us with 300 and whatever it was, and he made a bunch of really nice throws. Like, he's got some arm talent to him. It's not like some guys you see where it's like, okay, this guy's never going to be able to. Like, he's got the ability to get better. As a runner, he's a bulldozer, very much like Blake Bell kind of guy from Oklahoma a few years ago. They've got a very good offensive line, B-plus offensive line. They've got an A-plus defensive line. They've got A-plus linebackers. They're really good on defense. That's if they're going to win this game, that'll be what keeps them in it. This is the same with Tennessee, if they beat Alabama because of defense. Their defense is going to have to cause Alabama to have like to scoop and score, pick sixes, whatever, stuff like that. That's the equalizer in college football. A bad team can win if their defense is good. Iowa has won so many games in the Big Ten because their defense is so good that they find ways to win even when their offense was ranked last. See, West Virginians is different because they're the opposite. Like, technically, you could say your ceiling is higher. When you have an elite offense and a bad defense, you could say that, I guess. But on defense, if your defense is elite and your offense is bad, your floor is super high. Your floor is very high because you're not going to lose to teams that are bad. See, West Virginia can lose to anybody right now. And they could also play top 10 team and maybe win if Hawkins has the game of his life. And, you know, but that's the issue. Like, when your defense is air, you can lose to practically anybody. That, I mean, that is what it is. I mean, your ceiling is technically higher, but your floor is low. Whereas a good defensive team, your floor is high, but your ceiling is not very high. So that's why defense is so important. It raises your floor. I think Jackson might have been on the show, but I went over our roster this week, and several guys that we were publicly told were going to be involved in this team haven't even played a single snap. And I know at least four of them, but they're paying at least $200,000 too. So why are they not playing, right? Like, if you go look at the numbers that we've been told are true, they supposedly spent right around $12,000,000 on the offense, and right around $10,000 or $11,000 on the defense. So if that's true, and you're right around $25,000,000, and you spent half that on defense, where are the players at? Why do you don't even have, how can you not have, let's say you just, let's just make it easy math. Let's say you wanted to go too deep, and you wanted to spend $500,000 a player. How do you not get one good player out of that? Like, I can't even write my mind around that we don't have a good player on defense. Like, we've got some dudes with potential and all that. Like, we've got a couple of guys that aren't playing bad, but they're just, it's insurmountable because the ones that are playing bad are just so bad. And it's been, I don't know where the break is because if you go look at the, like, defensive coordinators will tell you, like, I went and, you know, called a former defensive coordinator. And he was like, yeah, it's execution. It's not even really the players. Like, it's, they're just in the wrong spots all the time. How is that possible over a full year, though? It's crazy. Yeah, like, that's what people were saying at USC with Alex Grinch because, like, literally, there were so many plays that you would just see, like, the scheme, man. They would just line up so far apart on the D line that they're just giving up 50 yards a run because, like, if they actually had better gap control, they would have won. I don't know what Grinch was doing. It was terrible. I mean, USC's defense still sucks, but they are better with Patterson. They are better. They're just still kind of bad. They're better than they were. So they got a talent. They have to. Yeah. How do they go with defense of Lyman? It's really good. It's supposed to be. Oh, man. I got to watch for West Virginia to really figure out the defense. I just see them, and it's bad. All I know is that in that league, you know, there are good offensive teams, but giving up consistently as much as West Virginia is giving up to teams that, again, in my opinion, are not at Oklahoma State, fine. But Arizona hasn't been putting up 50 points on anybody in years. This isn't Khalil Tate 2017 or whatever, Mr. October or whatever year it was when he was, if anybody remembers. That guy was incredible for like a month, okay? That guy, I mean, he was putting up just insane points, right? But Arizona hasn't done it. Fafita is a good player, but I was blown away that West Virginia gave it 52. I know some fluky stuff obviously happened, but still, it's like if Rich Rod is going to turn that thing around next season, then I mean, literally if the numbers are true, what you said on what they spent, if there's no sign that the defense is getting better by the end of the season, then they need to spend 65 to 70 percent of next year's money on the defense. You got to retain as much as you can on offense. I don't know how money is spent or whatever, like if these contracts are locked in or however they're doing it, whatever. College Football is so weird. But they need to spend all their money on defense next year and actually get good players. Because if not, then they're just going to have the same results. They just missed on the guys they got on the defensive ship for whatever reason. Rich Rod has been beside himself. Because we didn't have bad defenses here when he was here the first time. No, he's usually known as the defensive guy. He demands good defense. Yeah, the thing is, too, and then I'll let you guys go. The style we play, if you've got a bad defense, it only makes it worse because it's tempo. It's you're up and down. You're up and down. I'll give you some numbers. Here's how bad our defense is. Are you ready for this? If you haven't heard these yet, your jaws about this war. We're talking about probably the worst defensive numbers I've ever heard in my life in a game. Okay, West Virginia's offense ran 111 plays last week. That's second most all-time in school history. Arizona ran 52 plays, 51 plays. They scored 52 points. West Virginia allowed scoring drives of three plays or less on six drives. They were just 30, 30, 30 touchdowns, 30, 30, 30 touchdowns. And Arizona doesn't do that. They were down top three wide receivers. They're starting running back. But the kid that beat us was a five-star. He was absolutely destroying us. But at the same time, I mean, he was committed to Notre Dame, and they flipped him good on them. He showed up versus us. The one stat that really drove me nuts was that West Virginia have 522 total yards on offense, and Arizona have 482 total yards on offense. Yeah. As I always say, yards don't matter points. West Virginia had 30-something first downs in this game. Literally insane numbers when you look at it. The 51 place, 52 points, things is insane. The 111 snaps to their 52 snaps is insane. How do you lose that game? Obviously, turnover is playing a factor in that, but my God. It was, and how Zach Alley made it through that week, I'll never know. I went on my show Sunday because as soon as they got out of the coaches meeting, I started getting phone calls. They just had a big meeting, and Rich Rock's still mad beside himself. Been in just a horrible mood. He's mad as a cotton man. Yeah, I mean, they've scaled it all the way back, all the way back to base defense, and that's what they're going to run. They did add Ja'Corey Thomas, starting safety from Georgia. Oh, that did save us trouble. It'll be his first start, so he's been here for a month. I mean, that's an elite player you're adding. I don't know how much it can help, but we'll see. I will say, I am looking for some Big 12 versus ACC ball time, besides the Pop-Tarts ball, because that's my ultimate Christmas wish is for West Virginia to end the 2026 season with a game against Virginia Tech for Pitt. Now, I mean, I know we're going to hit the Pitt game in 2029, but, you know, I want that back on purpose. It will probably stick next year. I've already been told they're working on it, so we'll see if it happens. They're trying to make it work. We're next year. Yeah, because, I mean, like, honestly, college football sucks when we don't have the back-air ball. Because it was one of the things, because it was like, you know, that was one of the positives about, like, the foul battle with the GS series going away. I mean, it was unfortunate, the series going away, because, like, the AC was going to the ninth conference game. But, like, one of the bright sides I always talked about was maybe this could, like, move up the back-air ball returning again, or move up the turn of, like, a home-and-home between West Virginia and Virginia Tech. Although, Virginia Tech's got to swap their future games against Maryland and Wisconsin. I think they got Wisconsin on some of their future home-and-homes. But, yeah, it's .31, 32. And they got Arizona, and NYU on some of their home-and-homes. But, I will say, tell your friends, your family, and past years at College of Magic, the Mountaineer Polybring, on Laugh Out West Museum, where he goes over the Mountaineers every single day, twice a day, hopefully. I'm going to tell you right now, he's one of the hardest-working guys in the world of college sports. He's one of the hardest-working guys as a whole. He is one of those guys that you want, because he will always have your back. The good, the bad, and the ugly. I'm proud to call myself one, and friends of all of us. Sorry about the long wait on the call, Ian. Yeah, I appreciate you coming on, Mountaineer. Paul, and definitely good luck to West Virginia the rest of the year. Like, again, I've been nothing more than a must-see on the arm. Yeah, I would love to be able to come on. I'm trying to get my schedule to fit it in. I appreciate the arm. I definitely would love to do it, though, but maybe we could figure something out one week sometime. But my schedule is, like, really difficult, but I would like to do that for sure. I'd like you to come on and play the villain role really well. Yeah, all us Virginia fans will think that I don't like them. It's like, no, I do, but I'm just being honest. That's why I used to be about Indiana. I used to make Indiana fans mad because they'd be like, you say you like us, but you're saying we suck. I'm like, because this was back in 2022. You're celebrating Akron and all. Yeah, Jeffrey was like, yeah. He was calling for Indiana in the days of Indiana beating Akron. I started watching them when in 2015, they were horrible. I mean, again, I only liked them because they were bad. Everybody clowned them. I was like, well, you know, it's kind of like, I don't know, just being nice to the poverty school. I mean, that's because, I mean, again, I'm an Alabama fan, but it's like, I like them. Never in a million years did I ever think they'd do this. Again, it's insane to me that Indiana is as good. It is ridiculous. And now, obviously, in the NIL era, it makes a little more sentinels than your Steve's. I don't know. But I'm serious. So, like, Indiana used to be legitimately awful, and there will be Indiana fans trying to defend their team because that's all they had. When your team is that bad, you will defend anything. West Virginia is not even that bad. It's just one side of the ball. Indiana was bad all around. Yeah, it's unfortunate. But I will say, I'm still looking for those big 12-versus-16 bowl games. We just need a West Virginia-Virginia-type bowl game, and James Frankel will lose his mind on that offense. That would be great. Guess the revenge of James Frankel, my dude. Good night, guys. I'm out of here. Yeah, I'm going mountaineer fault. We're trying to make some work sometime. Bye, Jackson. I'll holler at you later, buddy. All right, man. Bye. All righty, so I will say, though, got some games to look over from FanDuel, because I'm going to tell you, some of these games I've got questions about. Like you mentioned earlier about Nebraska-Oregon, like Oregon's favor because the fact that they've won a lot. And I think like that preseason ranking is helping them. Yeah, the Oklahoma-Kentucky game and the Nebraska-Oregon game are the exact same with the spreads. They're the exact same because based off everything we've seen, Nebraska, especially Kentucky, look better than the team they're playing. But it's Oregon and it's Oklahoma. And like you said, I mean, Oregon, I mean, this is the first time Oregon hasn't been ranked in years. I mean, they've been so consistent. And it's like Nebraska, Nebraska hasn't won a ranked game, Jackson in 30 tribes. And it's like this game ain't even a ranked game, and they're still a six and a half point underdog. So it's just because nobody believes in Nebraska that they can actually win. Yeah. I mean, it's nuts. That's the thing though. That is just so much beyond repair. But luckily, Oregon's not in the top 25, so that's good for them. And I talked about this with Manny on Monday night on Porn Nation, where that offensive line of Oregon is a joke. It is a complete joke, where all you got to do is put enough of a scare into the Dutz QB, whoever it is, because it's not Dante Moore. It's either going to be Rayola or Brock Thomas. But either way, somebody's going to be feeling the heat either way from Nebraska. I'll go with Nebraska beating the spread, because I think they could pull off the upset over the Oregon Ducks in a 24-21 fashion. And let me see. What games have you liked for this week, Jeffrey? I like Northwestern minus seven against Michigan State. Oh, yeah, on the Peacock app. I like that one. Yeah, because I know everybody is talking about Pat Fish, Gerald, going against his old team, Northwestern, but no one's really talking enough about the Aidan Childs' return to East Lansing for the first time since he left. That's crazy in and of itself. He's going to run wild all over the Michigan State defense, although they're going to go easy a little bit on him. I think it's going to be a 31-14 victory by Northwestern. Kansas State, I'm going minus four and a half. Yeah, I also like Auburn to cover the 20 or 19 and a half. He was 20 and a half earlier in the week. I think I said that too, because Auburn usually competes. Oh, they're losers. They're going to get smacked by Georgia. They might get blown out, but they usually lose close. So for sure, man, for sure. And fine. Oh, I'm not I'm not touching Bama, Tennessee, Penn State, Michigan, 10-foot bowl. Not happening. I think the other one I said earlier in the week, I like Baylor, mine's five and a half. Oh, the Baylor necessity is going to smack TCU on them. Those are the ones I like. I think I said 38-17 on lockdown in West Virginia, but that's why I think Baylor is going to do TCU. They are basically going to go frog-gigging with that Arizona State pitch for it that they got. That's what they're doing. So those are the lineups for the college football pits on Fandle. All right there. And the Brewers have swept the Los Angeles Dodgers, breaking news, and for the first time since 1982, and as a representative of the National League since 1998, the Milwaukee Brewers are going to the World Series, and they have swept the Los Angeles Dodgers as they await the winner of the Cleveland Guardians and the Tampa Bay Rays. I'm going to tell you right now, that's going to be about, because regardless of who wins between those three, that's great for baseball. Don't listen to what ESPN is saying where it's like, oh, that's going to be a disastrous World Series. That's why baseball sucks. No, that's great for baseball. As much as I hate that the Braves aren't in it, I mean, if we're seeing Brewers and Guards versus, or like Brewers-Rays, that's great for the game of baseball. What would be greater is seeing like the Brewers-Rays, because it would be the first, it would be the battle of teams who have never won a World Series ever. I mean, ever. Neither one of those teams have ever gotten a World Series. I mean, Tampa Bay Braves were first found in 1998, one of two teams along with the Arizona Diamond Bats. Diamond Bats got a World Series in their fourth year of existence. Braves have been there twice, maybe third time's a charm, but we're going to wait and see in these next few days. But before we get to our next, well, you know what? We'll have our next caller join us on this promo and have us in the show tonight as well, and discuss what he's going to talk about, and because, gentlemen, I have to ask you, it's Christmas. Get cold Thanksgiving, Black Friday. Even though it's mid-October to Halloween now, it's Halloween night because the great pumpkin arises, and there's going to be a lot of trick-or-treaters coming in for candy while there's some football on Saturday. Where do I shop, gentlemen? I don't know where to go to. I think I know where to go to. Jackson, I got the perfect idea for you, good buddy. I'm glad you brought that up. I know an exactly place and they carry a little bit of everything that you want. You got your drink, where you got your t-shirts, you got your hat. Shop, Voice of College Football will hook you up. Like late at night when you go out to McDonald's, they're like the Golden Arches, Jackson, they will hook you up with merchandise. That's what I compare the Voice of College Football shop to, to McDonald's. They'll hook you up late at night. Jackson, so if you need to do some last-minute shopping for Halloween or birthdays or Christmas, go to the Voice of College Football shop. They won't do you wrong, good buddy. There we go. To tell your friends, family, and cashiers at Paul, it's about the magic that you see from the Alabama VOCFB merch store all right there because we've got the tumbler cups, can coolers, gameday muds, polo cups, t-shirts, heavyweight sweatshirts, trucker hats, dad hats, t-shirts. We've got them all right here on Alabama at The Voice of College Football and on the VOCFB website. You would like to see some merch items added to the website. Email Voice of College Football, Gmail, and they'll get right back to you. Austin, how are you doing? Yeah, I'm doing pretty good. I'm doing pretty good, Jackson. I'd like to see a 10-gallon hat added, just so you and Jeffrey can show it off, because I think Jeffrey can rock a 10-gallon hat. And you too, Jackson. I think y'all would look cool, be like Nick Saban and just rocking it. Just rock a 10-gallon hat with Voice of College Football branding on it. What do you guys think? That would be crazy. It would be pretty cool. We got Steve saying, did I miss Jeffrey's 2014 rant? You did, unfortunately, Steve. Me and Daryl talked a lot about that earlier. So yes, you did, unfortunately, miss it. I don't really feel like rehashing it, to be honest, because to bring back the entire argument of it, it would probably take 30 minutes to an hour. Okay. So I- Bedtimes. We got to get in the bed. Yeah, exactly, Jackson. So I'll make this quick and make this the fastest six minutes. To the 2014 playoff real fast, here's the thing. I've seen people be proponents of this, like there's some online today that are happy about this happening. Because as they said, and the overall arching theme was, oh, we're going to give teams more chances now. Chances now, the teams, we could give a team that's eight and three have a meaningful regular season game now at the end. Like, for example, they were talking about a nine and three, eight and four Cincinnati, or something like that could be in the playoffs now. And people were excited about that, about the prospect of that. Not everybody, but there was a lot of people saying it gives more teams meaningful games at the end. What do you all think about that? Honestly, I don't think it's going to end well like they think it will. It's not going to mean more teams from the ACC or Big 12. I think they're going to get screwed. As I said earlier, more ACC teams are going to be in the playoffs. We're just going to make those people mad. You know, again, you know, like you want more ACC Big 12, but you're just going to get more SEC and Big 10 in the playoff. You know, a lot of these teams that are eight and four, they're going to make the playoffs and they're going to get blown out. And you're making more games matter. Yay, Virginia Tech, you know, Cal might matter or North Carolina matters, but then Alabama, Georgia doesn't because both teams will make the playoffs anyway. So there's no stakes. You know, that's the thing too, Jeffrey. I think that's why a lot of people are excited because they think, oh, the SEC and Big 10 aren't going to hog all the spots anymore. It's going to be evenly distributed again. And there's even some people that have said the group of 5 and group of 6 teams are going to get 2 or 3 in now. And I'm like, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. Like, what do you guys think about that? Do you think a group of 6 could get 2 teams in now? No, absolutely not. No. What do you think, Jackson? I don't think that's happening. I don't like having a monopoly over college football either. I think it's bad. I really think, honestly, you should see a little more of bati-bati-chocolate. And what I mean by that is a little bit of ESPN, a little bit of Fox, a little bit of CBS, and a little bit of NBC. I mean, seriously, who doesn't want to hear, you know, Brad Nestler go back to call and play off games? I mean, seriously, who doesn't want to hear that? I mean, I want to hear some Brad Nestler. I want to hear that excited dad voice when there's a go-ahead touchdown. I want to hear that dad voice, that old dad voice. Brad Nestler. Not just again. I'm going to love the fact when I'm watching 8-3 Virginia Tech and 8-3 North Carolina, and they're going to be like, this game matters. This is why the playoffs need to be expanded. It's like 99% chance that either team makes the playoffs are going to get blown out in number two. There was nothing wrong with making a bowl game. Again, like, that's the problem. Like I said, when I said a long time ago, 14 playoff, all that was going to do with the 14 playoff is make people only care about the playoff. And winning an addy, and that's exactly what happened with the 12 team and the 24 team. All that matters. No one cares about bowl games. If you don't even make the playoff, like if you don't make the playoff, and a 2014 playoff, it's an automatic firing in a lot of these programs. You're history, because if you're Ryan Day and you somehow miss the 2014, you're done. Here's what I've never seen. It's not likely, but still. Honestly, because it's like the college football playoff doesn't seem to get it with the television. I mean, you shouldn't have only ESPN airing your playoff games. I think that's bad. They should take a page from what the NFL does with the playoffs and the Super Bowls. They should take a page from what college basketball has been doing with March Madness since 2011, because they realized in 2010, they were like, okay, this is the last year we're doing this local listings crap. We want to keep March Madness on CBS, don't get me wrong. But how about we have some other broadcast partners like TBS and True TV and TNT. TNT does well with the NBA. TBS is already making that money, honey, with Major League Baseball. Why don't we add True TV to the mid? That way, it's like we have a little bit of everybody. You're not having to miss out on Louisville if you're in the state of Oregon, or missing out on Duke, or if you're in the state of Texas, or missing out on UCLA, or if you're in like the state of Delaware, you know? Everybody gets to watch everybody. Let's see. And I wish the NFL would do that. I mean, you would think they would have done that with their TV contracts. Think about this, because I mean, there's no rule. I mean, I wouldn't think there's a rule going against like the TV contracts where like BOT Sports 1 and BOT Sports 2 air like a Falcons-Rams game or like a Saints-Buckeneers game. I mean, you would think they want to do that or like a Browns-Jets game. Like same with like the, you know, the other channels like like that CBS shares the property, like CBS is sharing along with Paramount, you know, like you would think they would do that. I mean, there's no, I don't think there's a role against like TNT calling an NFL game because I mean, they're technically buddies with CBS. They technically have Kevin Harlan because like Kevin Harlan works at CBS and TNT. So anything that would make you have a lot more money, honestly. Hey, Jack, can I read this real quick if you don't mind? What comment you want to read? Let's pull this out. Just last major point here on the playoff and then and then I'm good on it. So we have a comment here says, meaningless regular season, meaningless bowl games, all this stuff, nationwide conferences, unlimited eligibility, money over loyalty, so a lot of sponsors deals, the game's gone, all that. And then response, then stop watching, which again, I understand that, right? You know, stop watching. Bad argument, telling where I'm wrong, all that kind of stuff. And it's like the whole point of this thread here is I understand the argument that the other one's making here is like, oh, well, if you don't like it, then stop watching. The problem I have, though, is that I feel that somebody can love college football, like the person that originally made this original comment here, while still pointing out all the things that they don't like that's going on. Like, it's fine to tell somebody to stop watching. That is fine. Yes, we all have a right to watch or not. But that's like, you see somebody, like, just say you're in a relationship, and you two people, and like, there's one that, you know, you love that person, but they're spiraling, and they're going, they're falling apart. And then you're just like, oh, well, stop, like, being together, I don't know, or whatever, just leave them behind. I don't know, but like, you still love them. Okay? And they're spiraling, and you want to help them. Is that complicated? Is that difficult to understand? I don't think it is. It's like we all love college football, and we don't like what's happening. So it's like, okay, we should just stop watching if we don't like it. That's just, to me, that's just not it. That's just not it. I don't know if that's the same thing, Bia. I'm just saying it as an example. I'm talking about you really love somebody. I'm not talking about some artificial, like, superficial love thing. There's people that have been watching college football for 80 years. You've been in relationships with somebody for a long time, and I'm just saying that after that time, OK, this is not the 1950s relationships any quicker. That's the mindset problem right there. Nothing matters. We're getting back to that point again where nothing matters. If nothing matters, then why should we give a hoot and holler about anything at that point? It's like, oh, well, you're in a relationship, well, who cares? Oh, we love college football, who cares? No, it doesn't matter. It's fine. Don't like it. Who cares? This is the problem. Everything for everybody at this point is just like, okay, who cares? That's fine. Who cares? Who cares? I don't like the 2014 playoff, but who cares? I don't have to watch it anymore. Yes, that is absolutely 100,000 percent true that none of us have to watch it anymore. But I know you're telling the whole, the cold, nothing's going to change. That's why I told the real last week. He was like, Jeffrey, if you don't like the 12 team, if you don't like the 2014, speak out about it. I've been speaking out about it for years. It don't matter. It doesn't matter how many times I say it. It's gonna happen anyway. And it did. It's happening. It's fine. I'm still gonna watch college football, but I'm not gonna sit around and act like I like it either. I don't have to. Nobody has to. What's the point of just saying, okay, well, it's happening, so therefore I like it? That's not how it works. If that's how stuff works, then why in the world do we have people talking about this junk anyway? Why do you have people with opposing viewpoints in the first place? Because if you didn't, then everybody would just be like, well, it's happening, so it's okay. That's basically what I see there. That's what I see is that, well, it's happening, so deal with it. That's fine. We all have to deal with it, but it doesn't mean that I have to agree with it. It doesn't mean that I have to like it. It's not gonna stop me from watching college football and maybe in a relation might not stop that person from loving them, but you sure as heck don't like it, and you wish it wasn't this way. But it doesn't mean to stop loving it, man. We all love college football, but anybody out here is telling me this crap is good is insane. There's nothing good about what's happening right now. Nothing. It's completely destroyed the very fabric of everything we loved about this sport. I'm not even old, man. 50 years from now, I'm gonna be old like every other person that got old in 50 years. There's people in our chat that have been watching football for 60 years. How much it's changed since I started watching compared to what you guys have is ridiculous. Change is inevitable. But when you change too fast, it breaks things down. You can't change too fast. We've gone from a 14 to a 2014 in three years. Should not happen. It should not happen. And, Jeffrey, I get your point. We're supposed to say it's fine and that it's good. It's happening anyway, so therefore, we should like it. And that is wrong, because if that's the case, then every single thing that happens in life, if gas goes up to $10, you're just going to be like, cool, people complain about it, and guess what happens? It goes back down. So therefore, you would think that if enough people complain about not liking the 2014 playoffs, and maybe if people would not watch the games, then maybe it would go back to the way it was before, but that's not going to happen. I don't know. I don't know if I'm wrong. I don't know who's wrong. Maybe nobody's wrong. Maybe nobody's right. I have no idea. But I just don't agree with the narrative that if something that you don't like is happening, then you just have to deal with it and accept it and like it. We're all going to do that anyway, because we're going to watch the sport, but you don't have to sit on here and all of us just be like, yeah, I like it. It's good. It's great. I agree. 100%. It's great for the sport. The sport's fine. Everything's healthy. It's all 100%. You look at somebody and they're dying, and you're telling them they look great. They're fine. Your lifestyle's fine. That's my thing. That's kind of what I was alluding to earlier with the relationship. It's like if you see somebody and they're not doing well, but then you tell them that they're doing well, that's a complete lie. I understand you don't want to make someone feel worse, but you can't just sit here and say, well, college football's doing all this, but you like it. It's just not how it works. I don't understand. Again, again, I could be completely wrong, and if that's the case, that's fine. I'll tell you. Everybody that's on the against the 2014 could take the L, I guess. But I don't know why people are saying that you have to like it, you have to agree with it, and it's completely okay. I don't understand that. That's not how it works. That's not how people work. There's two sides to a lot of things. And then when one side wins or it happens, then it's just like, okay, well, there you go. It's a done deal now. It's the way it will always be for the end of time. It should just be like, oh, well, it's college basketball. It's going to go to a 128-team tournament in March Madness. Let's just like that. It's good. It's cool. Okay? Go ahead, Jackson. I don't know. I just got this. I saw this call from RP. Mayfield where he says, and everybody we list to on this podcast either works for or aspires to be working for one of the companies that are doing the eliminate the. I'm guessing you mean the elimination of old school college football. Well, I'll personally see what I could do to have like some of those people on the shows, but I will tell you, you're not going to be catching me, Mary Espion. I mean, I'll watch their games, but no. Well, I mean, honestly, this is a fantastic point made here. It is, because the thing is, there's a lot of people that work at places, and they listen to people up here. They don't agree with them. So, there's a difference between saying something and agreeing with it, and saying something, and you don't agree with it. There's no way that these theoretical people that work for these theoretical companies that shall not be named, all agree on the same thing. There's no way. But if the narrative is pro expansion, then that's what's going to be said. Even if the person's saying it, doesn't agree with it. Yeah. Is that correct or wrong? I mean, I don't think it's wrong. I don't think that there's any way that every single person in a theoretical company would necessarily agree with the exact same things. There's no way. I don't think that that's even feasibly close to possible. But if they don't agree with it, again, if that's not the narrative, the narrative is pro expansion. That is the narrative. So therefore, that's what's going to be said. Well, I will point out this $4.99 Super Chat because we need to get to that ASAP. And Michigander, the $4.99 Super Chat says, Blame Texas, Oklahoma. They opened Pandora's Box because they couldn't handle being in the Big 12. Now this spore has got worse each year after. Well, I'll be honest, it started way before that because I think, honestly, had it not been like Texas, Oklahoma, it would have been somebody else. Well, again, a lot of people argue, though, that the SEC did start all the movement when they were adding the Missouris and the Texas A&M's. You know, those moves prefaced the Oklahoma-Texas moves. They were the appetizer because, again, that automatically weakened the Big 12 because it basically made the Big 12 the Oklahoma-Texas Conference. There wasn't anything else going on. So I don't care about the pro-SEC, anti-SEC people. I don't care. I'm just saying for the sake of the argument that the SEC did start it. Yeah, I mean, the Big 10 added Penn State, but they were still at 11 for a long time. And then the Big 10 just added three other teams that sucked for media or whatever with Ruckers and Maryland and then they had in Nebraska because, hey, they used to be good or whatever. And like, I don't know, money, too. But I mean, like the SEC kind of started it with Missouri and C&M and everything. Oh, so you're going to love what you see in the chat. It's all I know you're like. Because we don't know I had on very good audio avatar. I know it like, you know, it's a little bad-masted. So being what I put in the chat, this for you. So real fast, and then I want to talk about Tennessee, Alabama. I just want to say off the top, I may have opened Pandora's Box again. I apologize, Jackson, and to you, Jeffrey, especially Jackson over there. But I'll say this, like you said, Jeffrey, it happens with all the sports. Like the NBA, when they instituted the play-in a couple of years ago, like a lot of people were against that because they're like, no, if you're nine and ten, you don't deserve a chance to be in the playoffs. I was for it. I was like, at least it'll stop some of the tanking. And for a time period, it did. It stopped the tanking for a minute. It gave teams chances. And it was cool seeing some of the younger teams get the experience. Like the Cup games, Jeffrey, we've talked about this, and I know Jackson and I have. I like the Cup games. I think it helps the younger teams. But some people are still against it. They're like, no, no, no, that's too many. No, that's too much. Like that ruins it. It's kind of like with the playoffs. Like some people are like, are like pro 24. They're like, this is good for it. And then there's some that are like, nope, nope, nope. It should only be four. Then there's some that say we should go back to BCS. And I mean, God rest his soul. But Mike Leach called it from day one, guys. He said, we're eventually going to end up having a 64 team field before we know it. God rest him. But he knew what he was doing. He called it right on the spot, didn't he, fellas? Yeah. I mean, he did. I don't know, man. I mean, the thing is with the whole, the money is that the SEC and the Big Ten, I think the SEC started it. Honestly, I do, because they expanded first, significantly, but then the Big Ten followed right behind. They recognized the value that their conferences already possessed in comparison to these other conferences that were kind of just stagnating. They added. They, those didn't. So, someone made a comment earlier about 2012, it was fine. The reason why it was still fine in 2012 is because the teams the Big Ten added weren't worth a crap. Rutgers and Maryland didn't do anything. It was all about cable back then, which, it didn't matter. And then they added Nebraska, who hadn't been relevant in 15 years, which, let's tack on another 12 to that. And then the SEC added A&M. They're the most overrated program ever because they don't do anything. And then Missouri and Arkansas. Right? Yeah, they added Arkansas. Well, Missouri and Tessane were added in 2012. Because Tessane... I know those were in 2012, but Arkansas was added later than the rest because they were in the Big Eight. So, like, that still was newer. Yeah, yeah, because Arkansas was like, okay, we don't like where the Southwest Conference is going. So the whole point is, though, is that... Are any of those teams huge, though, Jackson? No. They're... A&M can be, but they're A&M. My point, though, is that it started it, though. It's the same thing with the 14 playoff. You can say the 14 playoff did not break college football because most people liked it. And I'm not even saying that I was against it. I still think that it was better before that. But the 14 playoff was fine, but the problem is it opened the door. Without the 14 playoff, we wouldn't be here. Yeah. The 14 playoff started it. Just like A&M, Missouri, and Nebraska, Maryland, all that, started it. Because what did the Pac-10 do? Oh, they added Utah and Colorado. Doesn't do you nothing, right? And it's like, that's my point. Big 12 is adding West Virginia. Sorry, I'm out here, Paul. I'm sorry. But West Virginian TCU, that doesn't do anything. Okay, because if it did anything, then why's the Pac-12 gone? And why's the Big 12 what it is? That's the problem. Those conferences responded to what the Big 10 and the SEC was starting to do by adding nothing. And they couldn't compete anymore. So, it started it. If the realignment had never happened, if we went back to 1995 and no teams were ever added again, but again, when the SEC and the Big 10 started becoming more valuable, they won. They were like, well, when I saw Oklahoma and Texas, when I saw that that was proposed, that they were going back, when they were going to the SEC and then the Big 10 added all that, right? They were leaving the Big 12 and they were joining the SEC. I knew it was over for college football as we knew it at that point. Already, because like you knew the Big 10 was going to respond, which I understand that, right? Because like, well, if the SEC is going to do, we got to do it too. But the thing is, that ended it right there. And that's the problem. Like I said, all these people are so mad. They want the Big 12 and the ACC and the G6 all represented. And what's funny is that a lot of the teams that are in the Power 4 right now used to be part of the G6. They used to be part of the G5 because it was a Power 5. And a lot of the teams that used to make the Big 12 and the Pac-12 great are in the SEC and the Big 10. That's the problem. That right there is your problem. It's as simple as that. So you want these conferences represented when their teams are gone. They're gone and they're not coming back. The G6 sucks now, man. Think about it. Houston U used to be a part of the G5. Houston used to be a part of the G5. Cincinnati used to be a part of the G5. Utah used to be a part of the G5. So many teams used to be a part of the G5. All of these teams are in the power for now. Every single move that is made in conference realignment makes the conferences that are small or worse. James Madison, going from the Sun Belt to the American, makes the Sun Belt worse and guess what? James Madison doesn't make the American better than it was when it had UCF in it, in Cincinnati, in Houston. It's a domino effect of conferences getting worse. They're all getting worse. Where the Big Ten and the SEC are still getting better. They're not even adding teams and they're still getting better. They're getting more valuable every single year and these other conferences are not. And that's why ECU, their Twitter account's posting, wow, we got nobody at our game. Well, I wonder why. Again, you might think, wow, it's great. The Big Ten and the SEC are making so much money, but everyone else isn't. And then you want to justify, oh, let's do a cap where all of these teams get the same money. That's not how that works. How can you give money when they're not making money? And they can't make money because they can't get money. So it's a never ending cycle. You're losing. Yes, he's the big guy, more powerful than everyone else is not. But you want to argue from, oh, well, we just represent them. How can they win when they don't have any good players? They can't even get good players. And see, Jeffrey, and last thing I'll say, and then give you my Tennessee Bama score. The problem is, is I don't mind the casual fans and everything, Jeffrey, but they are truly running our sport as we know it. Because they're like, okay, how do we know, like me, you, and Jackson, we're going to show up regardless. Our teams could be 0 and 9, and they're like, oh yeah, they're still going to be there. We want the casual fans. How do we get them? How do we get them to come over here? How do we get these celebrities and everybody? We want LeBron in our games. We want President Trump. We want all these things. They want to be a mini NFL, Jeffrey and Jackson. That's really where this all I think is stemming from. People like college football, though, Austin, because it wasn't like the NFL. That's the thing. It was about tradition and pride. That's literally the thing. People like college football because it wasn't the NFL. You make it like the NFL. And now they're turning the NFL on. Well, the reason people liked it, they don't like it anymore. And a lot of NFL people that like the NFL aren't going to ever like college football as much because they like the NFL because the NFL is better. The reason people like college football is because they weren't the NFL, and everything was about pageantry and tradition and giving a crap. And again, if people stop giving a crap because, oh, this game doesn't matter anymore, doesn't mean anything, then you've lost it all. And again, it's like somebody says in chat here, how do you add value, stick them in the tournament? That's true. But if you make the tournament, which the fact that we're calling it a tournament makes me sick, because it's not, but whatever, tournament, make the playoff, and you get blown out 60 to nothing and nobody watched the game because they knew they were going to get blown out 60 to nothing, then who cares? Because think about it. Do a lot of people watch Ohio State blow the doors off Minnesota? No, they don't. No. And if Minnesota happens to make the playoff today, I know you do, Jackson. That's not the point I'm making here, though. You already see the ratings are going down. They're already going down because, again, why am I so heavily invested in a game? Which, again, I am because I like football. I'm not talking about these people over here that used to watch the sport because, oh, the bowl games and my team and all that. If the game does not matter, then a lot of people are just going to wait for the playoff in the first place. Why is it matter? Oh, I lost to Georgia by 20. Well, we'll get them in the playoff. And I'll say this, too, to transition to Tennessee Alabama here. It's like this. It's like one of these two. Like, does Tennessee Alabama, like besides the fan bases of these groups, and of course, people like me and everybody, do people care about this game anymore? Like, that's the thing real fast. Like, the state of the rivalries. I know Jackson, cover your ears, good buddy. But the rivalry games are going away. Now, this 2014, they're going to be like, why should we play this game anymore? I mean, it's already happened. The argument was that expanding to 24 was going to make these teams want to play these hard games more. No, it's not. Because they're looking at it, well, we've already made it so easy to make the playoffs. Why don't we just make it even easier to make the playoffs? Why would we make it harder when we literally don't have to? Again, the mindset is just not there. It's the same thing with technology. You make technology, and it makes people's lives easier. So therefore, you make more technology to make people's lives even easier and even easier to the point where you make technology where people don't have to do anything. You see the point? So if you make it that easy to make the college football playoff, then you literally have to play nobody to make the college football playoff. I don't understand why this is so complicated to understand. It is so easy to understand. If it's so easy to make the college football playoff, then you don't have to play anybody to make the college football playoff. So therefore, you're not going to play anybody to make the college football playoff. And if you do, then you're just making it harder on yourself for no reason. Agreed. And I'll say this, guys, this game Saturday, Tennessee, Alabama. I'll say this again, starting in a row. I basically already rehashed all this from earlier. But again, I still love college football. My love for college football is not gone. I still love the sport. But to act like everything is fine and everything is okay, even for the people that are on the side of expansion and the portal and all this stuff that's happened, and they're just out of control. And it's in Pandora's box, like somebody mentioned in the chat earlier, once it's open, you can't get it back in, which is 100% true. Yeah, so that's fine. That's great. But you can act like it's all good. Maybe a couple things are good, but then it's like those couple things that are good are a byproduct of the 85% of it that's bad. So then you're taking the little bit of good with all this bad. It's fine. And someone else said in chat, usually 90% of fan bases are checked out by November. Yeah, okay, that's true. Well, guess what? That used to not be the case when bowl games were what mattered. Once it became all about the playoffs, that's when it became checked out. So now, again, we're going to have Virginia Tech Carolina. Like I've said about five times already, Virginia Tech North Carolina matters now, because they're both eight and three, and the winner gets in, and it matters, and it's cool, and all that. But then Alabama, Ohio State, or in a non-converse, it's not going to happen anymore. If they cancel next year, if they play, I don't know. Or Alabama, Georgia, if they're both 11 and 0. Yeah, who cares? They're both going to get in. Why watch it? I mean, the only people who watch it is because it doesn't matter. The loser of that game, that Michigan, Ohio State game from 2023, was so good, man. What a game. Who loses that game out? That's all we heard. Oh, the loser is out. What a game. Again, maybe it means that the TCUs and all that doesn't matter and all, but they used to when they cared about bowl games. But now that bowl games don't matter, it was all about the playoff, then they don't matter. But those Ohio State, Michigan games, they're both going to get in. So again, why should Jeremiah Smith go out there and give it his 110 percent against Michigan if Ohio State is going to make the playoffs anyway? Why? Bragging rights? What's more important, beating Michigan or winning the Natty? Because that's what we've made it all about now. And you can say that winning the Natty was all that it was about before, but it was hard to win the Natty because only two teams can make it. Now that everybody can make it, that's what everybody's going to care about. So therefore, this game, if I'm 11 and 0, it's going to be like the NFL Week 17 where I'm already in the dag on things. I'm not even going to bother playing and suiting up. Mine's will not. Again, there's so many things that are bad about it, but people are only looking at those little bit of positives. Oh, more games, more teams get in. They got teams that aren't going to win anyway. That's the problem. It's supposed to be an exclusive group. It's a VIP club. It's like being at the little press box up there or whatever with Taylor Swift at the Chiefs games. Only a couple of people are able to be up there, man. Not all 75,000 of those people were in there. So, wow, we're letting all of these teams have a chance to make the playoff. Teams and players that unfortunately aren't good enough to belong in it in the first place. And you can say it's like college basketball. It's like college basketball. All these teams are college basketball. College basketball is different. College basketball and college football are not the same. They're not even close to the same. They're not even close. I don't know why we compare the two. Cinderella's can win in college basketball. Loyola made the final four. It's basketball. Upsets happen all the time. In football, if your lines of scrimmage suck, you're not going to win 99.9% of the time. And if you're a West Virginian, they somehow go eight and four this year, and they made the playoff next year with that defense, oh boy, that would be fun. Oh man, sorry, Mountaineer Paul, but it would be ugly. And you would wish that West Virginians never made the thing in the first place, which some people would be like, well, actually, I'm glad they did. But why are you glad you did when making is not even actually that good of a requirement anymore? It's not even exclusive. You made something that's so easy to make. It's so easy. So why does it even matter? Because you're not going to win the natty, which is all that matters. At least you were happy with your bowl game. You know? You know what I mean? You were happy with your bowl game. You had no shot to win an atty, but if you went 7-5 and you won your bowl game, you go back and watch football from 2010. And all those teams that won the bowl game, they were tears shed. They were so excited. Oh my gosh, we did it, man. We won a bowl game. Now it's like, we made the playoffs lost by 50. Great. Texas Tech, you're a great look for the Big 12. Great look. Wow. All that money we spent getting blown up on an Oregon team that can't even win anymore. Cool. Oh, that was last year. They beat Oregon this year. Well, maybe they could, but who cares? Because it doesn't matter. You're going to make the playoffs anyway, right? Because with that schedule, you're good, which is why you're not playing Oregon. Because all you got to do is beat your crappy little teams in the Big 12, and you're good. They're going to get in, beat by 30. I don't understand. I don't understand. I don't understand it. I don't. I just don't. And that's why I was upset talking with Thuriyah last week, because he told me to keep talking about it. Again, you can talk about all day long how much you do not want a 12-team playoff or a 20-14 playoff, and it's going to happen anyway. You can, because I did it. We all did. Everybody on Twitter right now, oh, I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. I don't like it. It's happening anyway. So what's the point? What's the point? But then we're supposed to accept it and like it. So therefore, if I start writing on it right now, I like it. I think it's awesome and amazing. For one, I'm lying. And number two, if I say that, then, oh, well, see, we validated it. Everybody likes it. So we should expand even further. Maybe if the backlash is so strong, maybe expansion will be done. I doubt it. But maybe. I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. And so, yeah, I was just going to say, Jackson, I was going to give you my score and get out of here. And that way, Jeffrey could calm down, and you too, Jackson. Well, I'm calm. I'm actually really calm. I'm just telling what I feel. But I am calm. I'm good. It's just sad. When I saw the post, it made me very sad. But it is what it is. Like I said, I'm still going to love football. But go ahead, Austin. The sports score prediction for, unfortunately, a game that doesn't matter next year if it was played. But for now, it still kind of does. But you think Alabama's got a shot and you think Tennessee's going to win. OK, so and I want to hear your two scores before I go as well. I don't know, Jackson, but I think I know yours. I said 24-20, Tennessee wins because and Jeffrey and Jackson, chime in where you where you think. I said this Tennessee team reminds me of the team that made the playoffs a couple of years ago. We remember that Tennessee team, right? With Niko and company with Pierce Jr. on the edge and the great deep hits they had. It wasn't real good, but they were still good enough to get into the playoffs. That's exactly what I was hearing from Tucker and Austin Levy the other day when he and I were guests on the ABL Sports Channel. So we were talking about that and we were talking a little bit about that with Wyatt Fulton on the upcoming video release on Alabama at The Voice of College Football. Yes, yes, Jackson, a little bit about that. Yeah, see, this is what this team reminds me of. If Tennessee could get to 20 points, 20, 24 points, as long as their office doesn't screw it up, they can win football games. Like that's the thing, if they get to 20 points and that defense does their job and it's got Bama in a vacuum, so to speak, they can win this football game, because that's what that team reminds me of. We all remember the games that they won a couple years ago when they made the playoffs. They weren't pretty wins. They were ugly wins, but they got to the magic number of 20. It was like that's all they needed because the defense was so suffocating. It's like this year, you watch Tennessee play, their offense isn't pretty, but you want to know why they were in the Texas game? Their defense was suffocating that offense. And I think this would be the same thing here. Like, Bama is coming in a little hobbled. They're not healthy. And I feel like that defense is going to be like wolves pouncing on a baby deer, so to speak, and they're going to be ready to pounce. And they're going to put Bama in the vacuum, make Keelan Russell a little uncomfortable, and then the offense is going to do just enough with the home crowd, and they'll pull it out on Saturday, 24-20. What's your guys' score? I got Alabama winning 28-20 over Tennessee. Didn't I say 27-24, Alabama Jackson? I think I said 27-24. You did on Monday night. I gave Tennessee more points probably than I should have, but I don't know. It's just Alabama struggled to win there, so I'm giving Tennessee some leeway there. I did want to bring up a comment here, somebody said, and this is interesting. I think the 13-24 ranked power conference teams do have a chance versus the big boys nowadays, way more parity than there used to be. I will say, which sounds completely contradictory to everything that me and Darryl have talked about the last couple of weeks, if this is true, because we have seen, like before, the Ole Miss. Stuff like that, I guess. If this happens, then you can argue for it. Maybe. I still don't agree with it. But you can maybe argue. If we get to a point where the parity is so strong, where literally the 24th team in college football is just regularly knocking off number one, maybe. But until that happens, there's really still no justification for it. And I still think the reduced value of regular season games still invalidates the 2014 playoff anyway, even if that's true. But if that becomes true, then you have a better argument for it. But as things currently stand, I mean, Notre Dame's favored by 10 to beat BYU. That's terrible. That's terrible. I mean, BYU is like the best team in the Big 12, right? Unless you can say to Utah or Tech, I don't know. But a lot of people say BYU is the best team in the Big 12. They're at home. So that means if they were on a neutral site, they would be a like 13-point underdog. And if it was at Notre Dame, they'd be like a 15 to 16-point underdog. That's terrible. So that type stuff like that can't persist for that to be true. Now, BYU might win the game, but I'm just saying the spreads are very indicative of what Vegas thinks. I mean, the fact that Mississippi State is six teams ranked higher than LSU, and they're only 15 and a half point underdog, that's not good either. Jeffrey, you got to think injuries. Vegas has taken in injuries. Camaro Taylor and LJ Martin might not play. So Vegas is kind of trying to account for that. We've got to put in proper context. I think Kentucky is better than Oklahoma, and they're a seven point underdog. Kentucky and Nebraska are my outright pits or upsets, I guess. But I've got, sorry to say this in advance, Austin, I've got Syracuse beating the Sprague as Louisville, because they're weird like that. That's okay. I've got Louisville. It's in the dome. It's brand. And I just want to clarify real fast, too. Someone in the chat said, I'm a Tennessee fan. I don't mind Tennessee, but I'm not a Tennessee fan, guys. No, no Tennessee blood here. I'm Louisville all the way. Go Cards. I believe red. Midnight, this is exactly the day where you and I first met, Austin. A few weeks from now. Yeah. Yes. Yes. That's a funny story. The Saturday's game is a little special for all three of us in a lot of ways. Yeah. Well, it was me and Jackson. And of course, Will that day as well on October 16, 2022. So that was pretty fun. And yes, we'll have to tell y'all a full story, backstories later on, but we won't do it tonight. Yes. I know like a couple of people in chat called it would be a five-hour show. That is not happening. Not, not happening. We got to get Jeffery to bed. Jackson, if they dish out some money, we got to think about it. Good buddy. If someone. But we still got to do it myself. Good. Yeah. Yeah. We'll get Jeffery to bed, but I'll dish out $1,000 and we'll go to 6 a.m. No, I'm just kidding. No, but in all seriousness, though. Thank you all for having me on. What the hell are you doing? I'm making more fun in the morning. Oh my gosh. We got $500 different chance or something. That's why. Oh my gosh. But yes, thank you all for having me on. Jeffrey, I'm glad you're at peace now. Hopefully, you got it all off your chest, and you could focus on Bama in Indiana. Jackson, good buddy. Good luck to you. And to everybody's team, good luck on Saturday, including mine. And of course, my fellow Cowboys out there, go Cowboys. Jeffrey, go Panthers. Beat the Eagles for me. That'd be nice of you. Bryce Young, get it done. Former Bama alum, get it going. That'd be nice. And Jackson, tighten up for you, good buddy. Hopefully, the Titans win something. I know, right? That'd be awesome. Appreciate you coming on, Austin. Always a great conversation. Good luck to you. It's going to be a little longer than planned, buddy. So. Oh, it's all right. It was definitely a great show. Appreciate everybody's contribution. We always appreciate it. It's been great. All the callers. I mean, again, like, I don't want everything, you know, be taken away that, you know, it's just that college football is dead. I mean, the college ball, as we know it, is dead. But college football is not dead. Just the sport, as we know it, is dead. Yeah. But I still love college football, and I can't wait to talk about the Alabama-Tennessee game on Saturday night with D. Jackson and with Kelce. It's going to be fun. I just feel like you got to be honest with how you feel, you know? It's like people that are pro expansion are honest, I guess. So, you know, I just felt like I don't like it. But, you know, again, it is what it is. So, you know, I just definitely wanted to get out why I didn't like it. I feel like I kind of touched all the bases. So there we go. But of course, we'll do like a little fastest three minutes to end the show. So, always give it... So, some of y'all are tuning in live on the Alabama Crescent Highline College Show, the Alabama Primetime Live College Show, Primetime Live Show, the Alabama College Show all over on YouTube on Alabama with The Voice of College Football. You know, even if you can't be able to watch it, you can always give us a listen on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Amazon, and iHeartRadio for more magic all right here on Alabama at The Voice of College Football. You can not only... You can always tune in to us on YouTube of course, and on Ets and Instagram, but you can also give us a listen on Apple, Spotify, Amazon Podcasts, and iHeartRadio while you're running errands, and going to the grocery store, and always make sure to tell the cashiers at Publix and at your favorite grocery stores as well, and at Local Food City. All righty, Jeffrey, what magic have you got cooking good? But your account's growing. You have like 100,000 views on one post this week, man. Nice. Thanks, man. Yeah, on Twitter, Ohio State, Indiana fans are definitely going after each other for the game. Regardless, I can't wait for that game. No, it's not going to completely destroy everything if Indiana doesn't win or if Alabama doesn't win. I would like them to win. Obviously, that's what being a fan is. You want your team to win or teams or whatever. Obviously, I want Alabama to be smoking the cigars, but we'll see what happens. It's going to be a fun week of college football. A lot of people are going to be talking about all this stuff on Saturday night, I'm sure, on my recap show. I'll be doing a recap show I can do every Saturday night. Try not to be up till 5, but you never know. Do not keep Jeffrey up with the playoff for AC Big Ten or nothing. Talk with him about the games. Do not keep him up at 5 a.m. It's all going to be Big Ten versus SEC, and it's going to all be about this playoff expansion probably. But it would be great if we would talk about the games. But see, this proves the games don't matter anymore because we're not talking about them. Just point that out. But again, maybe we talk about the games, you know, instead of stuff that shouldn't matter, but does matter. So we'll see. But regardless, though, I appreciate everybody has checked out my show. And even people that, you know, are in the chat till 5 a.m. I appreciate you guys sticking around. Because again, I mean, I could end the show. I know, I know that's on me, you know, I could be like, hey, thanks, everybody, for calling in. But like, gotta, you know, hit the hay or whatever. But it's like, it's just, it is fun. I mean, as frustrating and as, you know, panders as it can be to talk about the monotonous Dixon-SEC debate and then this insanely ridiculous expansion, it's still fun to talk about. If I didn't care, then I wouldn't be talking about it. But I love college football. That shows you how much this is a thing. When you really care about, that's what I was talking about earlier, when you care about somebody and you care about something, you're going to get upset about, right? That's the thing. It's like Gordon Ramsay when he's mad, you know? Yeah, he cares. When he's mad, he cares, but when he's not yelling, when he's not cursing, it means he's lost hope. If I was not a college football fan, and somebody told me, oh, the playoffs expanded again, I'd be like, okay. Because actually, I know people like that. I know people that are not sports fans at all. And I've told, hey, did you know the playoffs expanded? Like, so, that's the point. So my reaction is, frustrated as it can sound with all the expansion, because I don't like it. If I didn't love college football, I wouldn't be arguing about it at all. So that's why I love college football. I've been watching it since I was three. Me and Jackson have been talking to each other about for four years. A lot of you guys in chat have been talking with you guys about it for years. And I appreciate you guys so much for checking out my channel, Only Tall Sports, checking out my Twitter account. And also here at Alabama at The Voice of College Football, getting closer to 3,500 subscribers. Win and lose, 2014 expansion, 6,428. If it's 128, it's 128. But whatever happens with the expansion, whatever happens with conferences, whatever happens with Alabama, we're going to be here talking about it with you guys, and we appreciate all your support. It's always a ton of fun. I love the passion from you guys, appreciate it so much. Again, without you guys, the show would not be great. So, definitely, thanks so much. Tell your friends, your family, and the casters, the pubs about the magic that Jeffrey is creating. All right, they're an only talent sports.
