We Definitely Have Some Zach Ertz Thoughts

Shout out to like the 80 percent of the stadium that was Eagles fans. Oh, 100 percent of national. Elliot and I both at separate times each saw one person in Titans gear prior to the game. One, I texted you, I'm like, I saw one. You had texted me earlier, like I saw one. I legitimately think there was only maybe like 2000. It was in. And I might be high Eagles fans everywhere walking. It was seas of green, like Eagles chants everywhere we went. Our show on Saturday, the most Eagles chants in the history of WIP. I feel super confident about that. Just magic, man. Magic trip. Obviously a closer game than some wanted, but a thrilling win at the end of the day and ultimately just I had, thank you to fans, I had the best time in Nashville. And my voice is still not recovered, as you can tell. Sounds good. Does it? Sounds normal. Yeah, it sounds horrible. But well, there's some things about both of those people. Some people always think my voice sounds horrible. So yeah, it's good. It's like me saying, you know, I feel like my takes are good. Yeah, I can just feel that I don't have the power. Yeah. You know, well, we'll get worked up about something. Oh, yeah. We'll get you going. It's good. I'm just going to keep ruining it. Talking about every sale tickets or something. It's really. No, I mean, it was it was unbelievable. And it, you know, we always talk about it, but like it's just so cool seeing everybody like make friends on the trips. And I go on a lot of them, obviously, through work, like seeing people that meet on the first one and still hang out. And it's just like we should never take it for granted how cool it is. There's something special about obviously being a Philadelphia fan period compared to other fan bases. We talk about all the time how important sports are here, how much we love our teams, how much they impact our daily happiness and all that, and in extreme ways compared to other fan bases. But I think there's something extra special about being with your fan base in another city and enemy territory. There's just something that bonds you together. And I think Eagles fans particularly, that's true. So it like you really felt it there. Here's the one thing I'll say, like taking over the Titan Stadium doesn't seem that hard. We probably could have sent 5,000 of our finest. They've been fine. I don't know if it took 80% of the stadium. But no, I mean, Nick was on with you guys and talked about it. It seems like he really enjoyed it. I love the clip of him running off the field celebrating. They'll just they'll never be an Eagles coach, more like an Eagles fan. Dude, he had an IV after the game. You're so jacked up. He had to get an IV after the game. I know. Yeah. He was in the cold bath, he was telling me. I mean, like the guy was like so jacked up, not even playing. I love him. I'm such a good fan. He definitely checks the, he cares as much as, you know, Eagles fans. I know no one truly ever cares as much as someone that grew up loving the team, but outside of just professionally, I do think again, getting to know Nick since he's been hired here in 2021, like he is a sports guy. And I think he loves the fact that he works in a city that loves sports too. I totally agree. Imagine being the Titans fan. Well, that's what I was about to say. And he said it. He had actually in that answer, I thought a really good point. He's like, I was with the Chargers, man. Like I know what it's like to have to do to prepare for a really good home chargers. I will say. You took a little shot there. Here's the good news. No one's going to care. No, no, I mean, yeah, exactly. It's the perfect one. The best thing about taking shots at the Chargers. It's the perfect franchise, he could say, because they don't. We all know we see it every time that there's a Chargers game on television. It's like, oh, wow, dude, it just happened. Did you see highlights from that Chargers Raiders game? The place was full of Raiders fans. Of course. Chargers top five embarrassing franchises. Chargers, Cardinals, Jets, Titans, I mean, Jets. Are you kidding me? Yeah, you would accept that. I know you like the Jets, but you got there an embarrassment. I wouldn't say I like the Jets. No, I know that you're you're sympathetic. They're in New York, too. They had Joan Namath. They are a joke. The Jaguars. The Jaguars are a better franchise than the Jets. Full stop. No, no, no, no, no. Yes, they are. The Jets are absolute. OK, who do you think has more passionate fans? The Jets or the Jets? Oh, well, that's what I'm talking about. You're just talking about the fan bases. I see all the results on the field. I'm talking about as a joke of a franchise. The fans are part of it. The whole thing is a joke. I think it would be way easier to take over a Jags game than a Jets game. That's kind of what you were talking about. I'm talking about as an organization. Yeah, the Jets are not well-rounded. The point is I think Jets fans hate their team while also being passionate more than Jaguars fans hate their team. That's for damn sure. I got a take off of last night's game, Monday night. This is about it. I slept through it. I couldn't wait to go to bed yesterday. Interesting. Jordan, you, I was so tired. I was completely crushed from this weekend. Trust me. Dude, I will feel it all weekend, this upcoming weekend, from just going out Friday night. I'm cooked. I have three hours of sleep. I want to go to bed right now. Tune in. I have three hours. Can I take a nap? I have three hours left. I have three hours of sleep that on my O-Ring. And it's just so hard to make it up. Like I slept seven and a half hours last night. And you just can't do it. But anyway, here's my takeoff Monday night. And it has to do with the Chargers. I'm not intimidated by the Rams. Good. Like they're just there. They don't. The Rams don't have what the Eagles have, which I don't. The Rams don't have an it factor. Like I think they might have a better roster for sure. I think they have a better quarterback right now. Like we could argue the head coach thing. But you watch that home environment they play in and it's just it's stale. So like I think going into the Rams or in the Rams coming out of the dome to play the Eagles, like. I'm not intimidated by it. I'm not intimidated by anybody. So it doesn't mean well, I mean, I think like, you know, like I think it's intimidating to go into Dallas. Like, you know, is anyone intimidated to go into Los Angeles? No, that's my point. And like you watched last night against the Giants who have Winston. And I know they ended up winning by quite a bit. But like the Giants had a chance to like make that a one possession game right before half at the six yard line. They just messed it up. So I think the Giants actually have like a bit of like chutzpah to them. Like, I mean, James Winston stinks. No, for sure. They're they're cooked. Yeah. Jackson Dart is out for a six or so. That's what it seems like. Yeah. Well, that's a little bit of lip reading. Yeah, he definitely said four to six. The question is, is it true? Yeah. Or what or what he was talking about? Yeah. Well, yeah, yeah. I it's probably the good news is he's not like didn't tear every muscle in his knee. You know, now we'll find out. Obviously, I'm sure the more good news for the Giants fans. I'm just kidding. I don't want to get hurt. You know, it's just making a joke. Yes, yes, yes. I just like watching Caleb Williams. Who? Oh, wait, he's fine. Every. Oh, my God. I'm dying on the field. That was and I Caleb Williams guy. I've talked glowingly. I thought that was one of the more embarrassing like displays. I've seen it a long time. Like for a grade one hamstring tear, it looked like he was like he his leg had fallen on his body. Oh, my God. The guy like his leg fell off. Now not have a leg anymore is what happened. Oh, oh, wait. He might be back this week. Definitely next week. Oh, good. And I'm cool. Go, go. Now the flip side of that is I woke up with a sore neck and I've been in a terrible mood. You know, I'm not a professional athlete. There are certain athletes or humans agree. But also they are professional football players and there is a look like you would be less likely to show your pain on the air, maybe than off the air. 100 percent. Same thing. The thumbs up was so good, too. The whole thing is so good. It's like the towel. I couldn't be more in on Caleb. I love it. I saw really there. Obviously, this is there are funny things that will happen where it will just lead to like amazing tweets with the video as like the punch line. And the best one I saw was me at the hospital after sleeping on an uncomfortable couch while my wife just gave birth. Yeah, I saw that one. Yep, I feel that. That was her. The Ben Johnson audio, though, it doesn't sound like he's going to play this week. No, no, he said week to week, but he didn't rule him out. I'm kind of disappointed he's not playing, honestly. I've been I've been wanting to see like Eagles, Bears, Soldier Field, Primetime. We almost got it in the playoffs last year. So I'm disappointed. I'll take the back up. But I get a little worried about the back agent. You know, it just feels like a Nick Foles situation. But I like him there. Yeah, they seem to really like. They really like Tyson Bader. Yeah. And but he looked awful. And I was coming in in the fourth quarter. But he looked awesome in the preseason, apparently. He's fine. I think he's one of the probably one of the better backups. Yeah. I think there's like a unknown there. You know, so I think it's still a I think it's still a tough game. Oh, yeah. Going in, but I would have rather seen Caleb. Sure. Would you rather see Caleb with the injured hamstring? Yes. Then Bajan back up. Yeah. Part of Caleb's game is running. If he can't run, he's a different player and he's good at running. So either way, I I'm with you as a football fan. I don't want to see any of these guys go. We don't have enough good quarterbacks in the league as it is. I mean, the Bears go from 59 points to three. Can we just talk about Ben Johnson here? I mean, we are playing him this week. Like, you know, I think he's a great offensive mind and I thought he was going to be a good coach, but he is a smack ass man. Like, this is what I've always said. I've come around on your side. Yeah, he is the fourth and one thing about the touch. So like, like, first of all, to say, like, we want to set the points record to start the year is like, all right, dude, like, yeah, how about we want to be the best offensive league or whatever? Even then, it's like, like, all right, guy, like, Sirianni would never know. Oh, my God. But then also, like you play in Chicago. Are you crazy? Like, you are not setting the points record, dude. You know, it's going to be like 10 degrees for all your freaking December games. What are you talking about? You freaking moron. Like, what a stupid thing to say. Honestly, I was like, that's dumb. You sound dumb, Ben. Yeah, I'd also thought the thing he said, well, after the first week when they scored 59 points, whatever, and he was like, this should be our worst game of the year. It's like, we know it's not going to be your worst. We know that you're not going to score more than 59 points in a game. So yeah, I agree. I mean, look, to get back to the Nick thing, and you know I've been on this channel off season, the obsession with the scheme guys, I just, I don't get it, you know? So I thought he was a leader of men all the time. I think he's got a little bit of a leader of men. He's got a little bit, but I'm sure we'd like him more if he were our coach, like this stuff, but he is. Well, not if he's only scored three points against the Vikings. More the point is that it feels like Brian Johnson does a lot of the things, is more aggressive in the way that Nick is, but people get so mad at Nick and call him a clown, but Ben Johnson is like, oh yeah, look at this competitor. Okay, dude, really? Nick's a better head coach than Ben Johnson. Without a doubt. I don't think it's a question. It's not even a question, I agree. Man, there was some other thing I had. I guess we should get there. Oh, I was, yeah. I see I've gotten all my random thoughts out. Yeah, I feel fine. No more random thoughts? I feel terrible, so it's okay. I feel, I felt a little bit better when I woke up this morning than I expected to, and then with like every passing minute, worse and worse. Yeah, life. Like right now, worst part of my day so far, other than the you part. I mean, fielding-wise, favorite thing I've done today, I'm saying like, I feel the worst I've felt all day, and that next minute will be the worst. We'll check in and tell you. Yeah, I can't wait to go to bed. You should make that the title of the podcast. That is a good one. This is the worst part of my day. Yeah. You know what I mean? No, I know. I mean, I feel horrible. Yes. My voice is barely there. And the next minute will be even worse. But me, much like tough NFL football players, we powered. Yes. Yes. All right. So let's talk, Zach Ertz. The legend is back. This is what do you think? Look, we were into it before it happened. I wanted them to sign him before Dallas Goddard got hurt. Like I was like in on the Earth thing from the jump. I think he's an absolute no brainer. Once Goddard went down, it was like an all time no brainer. I don't I don't I think there's no pushback to this. Again, if Goddard were healthy, you could I wanted him. You could make the pushback and you could say, Oh, you know what? They've got Goddard. You can't block just like and the receivers have played well. But when Goddard goes out, like, I don't I don't know how that you could possibly push back against this. You ready? Oh, come on. So now the kid, hold on, hold on, hold on. So the I did an emergency pod last night. So if you want to hear me be like super excited about it, I agree with it's very exciting. Sports are supposed to be fun. It'll be cool to see. I also think it's smart. Yeah. Oh, yeah. I think I didn't even mention the fact that it's fun to have Zach Ertz back. I'm talking strictly football. I think football wise, I like it, right? I like it. Here would be the devil's advocate. Like, let's talk about some potential negatives. So I think it made more sense to do in a way once Goddard was healthy. Be of a choice. I think they would have done it either way. I think Zach Ertz was getting signed now no matter what. I just think the Goddard thing made it like a no-brainer. Yeah. Or honestly, it could just be it could be not related. You know what I mean? Like it could have been this. That's my point. I think I think that but but but the the negative, I would say to the timing of it is they need somebody now like that. Like Dallas Goddard is not playing on Monday night and he's probably not playing until after London. Right. So I think at this point, the only two titans on the roster are Johnny Munt and EJ. Jenkins. Well, don't they have another roster? Can't they add another? They could. But that I'm saying Zach Ertz can't be the Goddard replacement for Monday night. Right. And so they need somebody else for that. And so if you remove the emotional part of it, and it's hard to because it's Zach Ertz, right? He's going to set the franchise record for receptions in an Eagles uniform. Like, you know, he's going to he is an all time great player. Like whatever, like all the accolades you want to throw at Ertz. He deserves all of them. Right. But if you remove that part of it, when you're when you're starting, tight end goes down and you sign a 35 year old coming off an ACL that hasn't been in camp, that hasn't played since last year, there are real parts of like how ready is he to play? How quickly can he contribute? Right. So from an immediate standpoint, I think the move. I think Johnny Munt and EJ. Jenkins will be the replacement on the field. Of course. Yeah. But that's but I think that would happen with anyone they sign. I don't think there's anyone out there traded for somebody. Sure. Like someone that has been playing football. But I don't think they wanted to give up an asset. If they think Goddard's probably back at three, four weeks, whatever it doesn't. Well, if I have they put them on IR, my guess is they don't. I would guess not to. They already have a roster. So like, do you really want to trade for a tight end and give up an asset, especially because right now, I mean, who knows what is available at the moment? So maybe I can sign someone who might not be ready like that, but who I don't want to give up anything but some cash for. Yeah. They probably don't want to give up an asset for a time. Now, what I like about the Ertz signing is his game is not based on athleticism. So I don't know how long it's going to take him to learn, like, hey, go run a hitch route. So I think he'll be able to play. I just mean, it feels like sometimes when Howie has to fill roster holes, he just goes back to the guys that have been here. And there's benefits to that. You know them. They've been here. All that. It just does lack a little bit of imagination of like, he's not trading for this tight end. That's like a backup on a bad team. We're like, hey, this guy's a ton of upside. And he like has been playing. Now, he could still do that before Monday night. Right. We're recording this on a Tuesday morning. I just think the only downside to the Ertz thing is they need immediate help at tight end. And I don't think he's providing immediate. I get your point. I just don't think that's a downside to the Ertz thing. I just other than trading for someone, there's no one who could do that. Well, you could trade for someone. Right. I don't I don't need them to trade for someone. Goddard's coming right back, though. Do you know what I mean? Like Goddard, if he's going to miss three games, right. And it's a muscle injury in the knee. So like, who knows? Or whatever them sales. Yeah, it's in the knee. I was thinking hamstring for some reason. But like, we'll see. I look, I think using Goddard is never I never thought they were going to trade for someone. I thought it was either Ertz or pick your scrappy tight end and bring them in. It's pretty rare that teams make a trade in this situation. If a guy's out for three weeks and they have it, it's really rare that teams, oh, let's go trade for it. I don't think that doesn't happen often. They needed somebody anyway. Like even if Goddard didn't get hurt, I think if we would have done this pod, let's say Goddard is not hurt. So like I would rather they sign Zach Ertz than go trade for someone personally, like then give up an asset to go get something. I don't think you're giving up anything of like value. But let's say it's like. But there might not be someone available. You're just saying like go trade for someone like the tight end. Like there might not be a player that might have that they think could play. Yeah. I mean, and honestly, whoever they got, if he's a backup and not playing or whatever this week, fine for next week, Zach Ertz ready. I'd rather have Zach Ertz on the field than whoever you're going to trade for. If they're a backup, hopeful guy, I'd rather have the guy who's made up a ton of catches in the NFL. So like I just kind of fully disagree with you. I get it. But it's one game. You just get through the game with my we think it's one game. You know, it could be to, you know, we don't know. My point is, I'm good getting through it with Mont and EJ Jenkins instead of trading an asset. Yeah. I just think this points to like the poor job Howie did at tight end on the offseason. I know. I think they clearly did a good job at the tight end. If you would have said to Howie, day one of the offseason, your top two tight ends in like week 10 or whatever, and look, it's not week 10. He could make moves, are going to be Dallas Goddard and Zach Ertz. Like, I think he would be like, what are you talking about? Yeah, but I just think, I agree to do it, but things play out like you can only do so much in an offseason. I mean, I get your point. I think Howie wanted to do something more with the tight end room and didn't. And that's a failure. But in this situation where we're at, like, I think this is the right move. Well, and so the last thing I'll say from like a devil's advocate, like you now have another tight end on the roster that can only do one thing. Right. Yeah. Well, you obviously would have liked someone who can block. Yeah. So. But again, I do think that if we're talking again, trading for someone is different. But if you're talking about signing someone off the scrap heap, I don't think there are tight ends out there who can catch a block. Yeah. Well, that's how it's Howie's job to like find one, right? To like go to a roster. I get what you're saying, but we're past that. We are in the here and now. He did a bad job in the offseason in the here and now. There are two options. Sign Zach Ertz or whoever else on the scrap heap or trade for someone. I'm saying I'm good with them going to get Zach Ertz rather than trading for someone. I guess if you want to talk about the offseason in the failures, agree. I'm just saying we're past that now. We're analyzing the Ertz decision. I just think they might have needed to do both. Like Goddard is hurt. Johnny Munt is a fine backup. Ertz is 35 coming off in ACL. Like they might need even more at the tight end. Like Ertz, it doesn't matter. He's on the practice squad. Like he's on the roster, right? Like he will play. But the point I'm making is like they still need more at tight end. I don't think the solution at tight end can be Ertz. And I still think Ertz is pretty good. Like I think he can be a good receiver, receiving tight end for him. I love the, you know, like the romantic side of his ending his career here. I think he'll be good in the locker room. Like I'm with all those things. It just feels like they need more than just Ertz. If Goddard is like, you know, we hope Goddard will come back and be a hundred percent, but if he's not able to, like that's a major blow. Of course. And look, they have more information on the knee injury than we do. They might know that it's a week or two. They might know that it's three. They might know it's not that bad or it is that bad. So I think that the moves they make are more informed than what we know. So, like again, I get your point. I just, I think there's a lot of like, first of all, there might not be a single tight end who fits your description, who is available for trade today. You know what I mean? Like there might not be one in the whole league. Yeah, probably might not be. You know what I mean? We're early and like, it's not like teams have tons of tight end depth where they're just trading guys off. So like I get your point. I just think we may be making statements based on, it's not on reality. You know what I mean? I think the reality was they needed to sign a tight end or they needed a tight end. And Zach Ertz, in my opinion, was the best of the free agent tight ends. And they went and got him. Like, you know, I gave you a point. I would have signed him. Like it's not a perfect scenario. Obviously you want someone to come in and replace Dallas Goddard and do everything. But like, I just, I don't think that was super feasible. Yeah. And I think again, to like wrap it up, like it just is like, he did a bad job this off season. And now they're paying for it. I think that's fair. I think that's fair. But again, I also think that, you know, I think he wanted to do it differently. It didn't work out and he made other moves in other spots. And you know, that's the way the roster game goes. You know what I mean? But I think that, sure. Yes. Bad off season. But I think in the moment, I think he made the right moves. So I will say too, like very happy for Zach, you know, gets to end his career with the Eagles. You saw the I'm guessing you saw the video of him at the airport Tuesday morning. Like it'll be really cool for him to be back. Bad news, Xavier Gibson, you're losing number 86. Oh, yeah. I didn't know if anyone had it, but yeah, it's going to be playing in 86. And it will be cool to see him set the franchise record. You know, hopefully this year. Yeah. He will. Yeah. I 11 catches seems likely doable. Yeah, it'll be interesting if like he has, you know, seven going into week 18. It's a meaningless game. Let's hope not. That's a tricky thing, too. Like Harold Carmichael works for the team. Yeah. You know, I don't know if you want to like pepper him with targets. It's an interesting one. Yeah. Look, if he doesn't get 11 catches by week 18, then this was a massive failure of moves. I would agree with that. Yeah. All right. I too, though, it's exciting. If nothing else, sports, to your point, is supposed to be fun. Everyone's going to be excited to see Zach Ertz and he goes to your room. And again, I think it's a smart move. Yeah, I am. I wanted the same before the injury. So to be clear, in on the move would have done it. I was presenting the other side. I get it. I get it. I get it. All right. I want to get some more from the game. So I have a thought from Friday. We have a Sunday we haven't discussed. So the Landon Dickerson, Drew Kendall, Cam Jergens. Yes. So rewatch the game. Don't think Jergens was the best. People made it out to be. He was not. Real quick, I thought you made a great point on Twitter that like the guy found out during the week that you're moving right. You never played the position before. He played the other side. You know, like I thought the fact he was willing to do it, I thought it was a great teammate move like he could have. There's a lot of athletes in the city that I'm a fan. I'm a center. I play center. I've been a pro ball center. Like I'm not moving. So here's where I go with this. And this is a criticism of Nick and also Chris Cooper and Sean Manion to that extent. Like if I would have said to you, you know, a few days before the Washington game, right? Who's the player you think is most likely to get hurt first? Which would be a sick question to ask. Landon Deggerson. It would have been Landon Deggerson, right? So I was at- Dark question. I was at every single training camp practice. I saw every single team rep- They never did this one. They never did it. Yeah, that's interesting. The fact that the top contingency plan you had, you did not practice at all during training camp. It almost is like he got hurt and they're like, well, what do we do? Exactly. Or, and I asked Nick this on Monday. I said, how many times do you take reps at left guard? Cause I didn't see it in training camp. And Nick basically was like, well, you can do things in walkthrough. And I think there might have been one day of walkthrough. They did it. That's not enough to prepare him in week two to put like, what would have happened if in week one, would they have moved? Like probably not, right? In week one, if mid game landed, would have left. But this is not week 10 or 11. Like you, you went into the season knowing landing could miss time. Cause by the way, we know now they knew he was more hurt. That, right? That, Eliot, that is the extra thing where it's like they knew he got rolled up on it. And you still never tried it. That's crazy. That is, Eliot, you're right. That is a crazy thing. It's unfair to Cam. It's unfair. And like, honestly, you set your team up to be less successful. And so the only thing I could think of is a couple. Oh, I guess, I guess not the only couple of things. One, they didn't want to show it in training camp, which that's what I thought about, which if that's the case, is insane. Like you've gone too far with it. If you're not going to prepare for the top contingency plan in training camp, because you don't want people to know. Also, just do it when reporters aren't there. So for training camp, we're there for all of it, other than walkthroughs. Oh, okay, so that's why they did it. So then they definitely did it in walkthroughs. But that's insane. It's insane to hide your top contingency plan. So I just, I refuse to believe that is it, right? Because I, but two, I think that's it. Here's something we might need to think about, right? I bet I would bet that's it. So I think that's a poor job by them, poor job by them. They should have planned better for this. If this was the contingency plan, you need it to practice it more in camp. And it's a failure to then go and tell Cam, like Monday, hey, guess what? You're playing left guard this week. And the fact he embraced that and did it after not practicing, I think deserves a ton of credit. Again, it is possible they did it and walked through this and told those guys, we're not showing anyone. But if something happens that, like, Cam might have known already. That's all I'm saying. And let's say that was the case. You still didn't practice it in a real way. No, I agree. I mean, you were just saying that they informed. Cam might have known he was always going to be guard if this happened. That's all I'm saying. I'm not. You know, I'm trying to give a player like, I don't know. It would be like if Jalen went down in week one and it was like, you know, like you like you, you should have been more prepared for this. Is the point I'm making. Landon, you knew Landon could miss time and it felt he did a poor job planning. So this brings to my second point. And I think since he's been hired, I've been very complimentary of him. Like I think he had an awesome training camp. I think the backup offensive lines look pretty good, blah, blah, blah. One thing we might need to consider with the offensive line not being great through two games and this like whole fumble weird thing. Like Chris Cooper was not a good offensive line coach in Minnesota. So it is possible two games in the issue. Now look, offensive line wasn't great last year, which is something you have to consider, right? Like he does not have the talent that Jeff Stoutland had. Right? So he is not coaching with the same deck of cards. But the offensive line in Minnesota was bad for Chris Cooper and the not preparing the team better for this switch. Look, it falls on Nick Top, right? And then you could argue Mania. But like it's also on the offensive line coach to say, Hey, guess what? Like, let's say in meetings, they were like, this is going to be our plan, but we don't want to show people you're Chris Cooper. You'd be like, nobody. Like we're going to put Cam at center, or I'm sorry, Cam at left guard. Like he needs to practice that. Right? So I think it's a bad look for Chris Cooper. And I also think as the season goes on, if the offensive line keeps struggling, I think Chris Cooper's resume has to be brought up. I think Chris Cooper is the most in danger of becoming the irer of this fan base if things don't get better. I'm fully with you. He's a little far down, but you're right. But I think because of the style, that's exactly what I was going to say. He is following an all-time legend in this city. The greatest offensive line coach ever, all that stuff. With you on bringing it up, I think the early returns on Chris Cooper are bad. I think it's too early, and it's too early. Yes, you're right. And the backups are good enough. It's too early, especially with a new scheme for these guys, where it is more even though they've all said, like it's different for what they're doing and how they're playing and stuff. So like, I get it. Way too early to make any full declarations. But I think you have to say, like the Chris Cooper thing has to at least raise your eye. For sure. So Cam goes back to center and then Landon's not playing well. So then Cam goes back to left guard. Again, the office is like snip, snap, snip, snap. Right. It's like, you're just like yo-yo on him back and forth. Like, I don't think that's fair to him. So that is what it is though. I know. But well, even the fairness thing, I don't know if it's like a good way. I don't care about the fairness thing at all. Well, but I just care about what's best for the team. It might not be good for them. I'm just saying. That's the issue for me. But the fairness thing, I don't care about. He's paid to play as the Eagles. Well, but we think of fairness when it comes to Jalen and stuff. But he's the quarterback. My point is that you're alignment. You're the center. It's not like you're some like... Well, he's not the best center in the history of the NFL. He played guard his first year in the league. I don't think it's that crazy. Yeah. I just think it doesn't set him up to succeed. But that's the other issue of moving Cam to guard is like, so now you're putting him back and forth. So anyway, this whole thing, to be honest, it just feels like it's being mismanaged. I agree with that. I think it's been mismanaged. I don't think that moving him back and forth is as big a deal as you do. I think he has been in the league for a little while now. He has played both positions in the NFL. I think he needs time being moved to left guard. I think it was good that, you know, short we got, but I don't think, like, I think Cam, he's played guard in the NFL before he's played center. I think you're- What about the Jalen part of it? You're switching his center back and forth. I think if Jalen's okay with it, who cares? You know? Yeah. I would be shocked if Jalen's okay with it. The point was they did it. Yeah. Yeah, well, it's also funny. Some of the reps people point out, like he did get beat bad by Jeffrey Simmons on one rep. It's like, yeah, man, what do you expect? It's his first game at the at the position. Yeah, so I don't know. I get your point. I just don't know that he feels that way. But yeah, I definitely agree that it doesn't feel very fluid with. Yeah, it feels like they're making it up as they go. I don't love that because they and again, they're a very well run team. So again, we're inferring and guessing. But like, it just feels like one of the situations. It's like, that was shocking. So and I don't think when you do something that's shocking, when everyone's watched you all off season, it doesn't feel like that was a well thought out plan. Sure. Yes, I agree. OK, so I actually I did watch a movie on the flight out that it's funny because I was like, I actually thought about telling you about it, because I think it is such an Elliott movie. And then I purposely was like, you know what? I'm not going to. Yeah, I'm not going to screw up. Unless it was ballad while I was talking. Have you ever heard of or seen the movie Dave from 1993 with Kevin Klein and Sigourney Weaver and Ving Rhames and Ben Kingsley? Is that the one where he placed the president? Yes. Have you seen it? Yeah. My dad loves that movie. It's a wonderful movie. Wouldn't he like it? Yeah. So up his alley. He'll never watch it for a nice, like fall asleep movie. What you watch, Dave, Dave, Dave. It is.
