Inside the Birds: A Philadelphia Eagles Podcast

ITB Week 1 Postgame Show: Did The Eagles IMPRESS In Tight Win Over Commanders?

This transcript does not include audio timing.

Hello, welcome to the Inside the Birds post-game show. First one of the 2022, sorry, 2026 season. The Eagles come out with a win. They just barely get by. They beat the Washington Commanders 24 to 22. And Adam, it takes a big two-point conversion stop there at the end. I believe Mauro Jomo makes the big tackle. Turns out to be the big play of the game. And that's what gets the Eagles off to their 1-0 start. So there's a lot to talk about between the new offense, some of the leaky defense, and obviously special teams was huge in this game in a variety of ways. What are your just initial thoughts of this game? Well, it's a win, barely a win, but they did win, Nick Ciorani now 6-0 as an Eagles head coach in season openers. It's called a survivor in advance game. They didn't play well. I thought Devontae Smith said it very well in offense. A lot of good, a lot of bad. But they have to stop shooting themselves in the foot, stop getting behind the sticks is what he said. Well, to that degree, I don't know how this is, I don't know, I guessed at this, and I looked it up, I'm like, I'm right, I can't believe it. They had the lowest amount of first downs in the National Football League on Sunday. 10. Really? Yeah. 10 first downs. I knew it was bad. I knew it was bad. I'm like, when is the last time they got a first down? Watching. They got 10. 10. I think the Bears had 10 after their second drive. Oh my God. There were five games that had over 60 points on Sunday. Okay. Amazing. But even the Titans had more, who they played next week, they had 11. But that's bad, man. That tells you a lot, despite how many points they put up. It was really misleading. 24 points. But yeah, I mean, they did score 14 in the first half. A couple of big plays. But other than that, the running game was horrendous. One big play, then Barclays 14 for 41. That's not good. There's so much. I mean, we could do two hours on this thing. There was so much bad in the game, but they won. That's the key. I mean, our job, we're not Eagles fans, folks. We tell the truth here. Yeah. I cannot wait till we do Inside the Tape Show with Greg Cosell. They've got some offensive line problems, which we'll get to once we get through the tape. There's certain things we could see, but there are some encouraging signs. In the first half with Don Tavian-Wicks, they isolated him with Mike Sandro-Strill. Love that Sean Mannion did that. That was a big problem I had with Kevin Petullo. When Jalen was given enough time, he delivered in the first half. The protection was phenomenal, the throw was great. Then the first one to Goddard, that was a five-step drop, one and a half, two hitches, balls out, led Goddard. The ball was out there, he was halfway through his route, great throw. That's encouraging. Now, was there a lot of slipiness? We're going to have to learn, was it the lack of receivers getting over, was Jalen holding the ball too long, which has been the case for many years? We don't know that yet. We're going to look at the tape, we're going to find out. We're going to get that answer. But then there was just so many problems in the run game, missed blocks, pass protection. Barclay had one where he stoned the guy, then he got blown up on one, he actually missed two blocks. That was disappointing. McKay-Lemon, I know they forced him on the field, he's not ready, it's what we thought. But to be honest with you, he's not a separator, that's his problem. That showed up in the game, but you know what? That's a scheme thing, you got to get him open. That's on Sean Manion, got to get him open by formation. They did reduce receivers, this is totally what I expected, that came in. Wix has reduced, Lemon of course was. They ran your four verts as you texted me, of course, I knew that was coming. We knew that, we were like, but it sure looked like four verts. That was the guy that got its first touchdown, and he bent inside the corner in the safety. I saw one crosser that Jalen hit over the middle in the first half, I'm looking at my notes here. I'm looking at one check down, not enough, they need more. I know Hertz scrambled, it seemed like they were all scrambles. We'll ask Greg how he's guys at NFL graded it. It didn't look like anything was designed. Could be wrong, maybe one was, but I didn't see that. They're issues, but they did score enough to win. They did score 24 points, but it didn't seem like it based on how the game looked. But you take it. I mean, but the thing is the coaches will tell you that it's all about corrections. Even if they scored 50 and play great, they'll find stuff to correct. There's stuff they don't have to find. They're going to find it. It's going to show up on tape. It was just not, overall, it's a performance that you, this is where I only talk on offense, we'll talk defense in a minute. You just feel like, okay, they left a lot of meat on the bone. Devante talked about it. Lack of execute, a lot of bad execution errors, ton of them. But you like that Wicks showed up. I know in the second half they didn't do anything, but those are two big plays. And it's the trust that Hurts has with Wicks. We talked about it in Training Camp. Wicks is seemingly almost always where he's supposed to be, by route, by the route combination, and with the timing of the passing game and the offense and the progression, it's really good. Now, the issue that we have to bring up, as much as a lot of fans hate AJ Brown for what happened last season and we won it out and all that, it showed up today in this game not having AJ Brown, but it did show up. Yeah, absolutely, absolutely. Devonti needs help overall. Yeah, I thought he would get targeted a whole lot more, but the passing game, as you're mentioning, and for a variety of different reasons, just was not like poetry in motion. We'll get to that in a minute. I think that it's fair to have a 10,000 foot view of this thing and say it's week one, so you expect not everything is going to be perfect, especially with the offense, right? And it's a win against a division foe that played all right, not great. They made a couple of mistakes that really hurt them, but they could have won the game. Okay, so they played well enough to come into hostile territory and almost steal the game there in the fourth quarter. So you get that win, you get some wrinkles ironed out. I think, and I talked to some guys in the locker room after this on defense, certainly not having any tape on what David Blau is yet, just knowing where he comes from was a little tricky for them on some certain routes as you saw Antonio Williams had a really nice game at Cooper, Eugene struggled. But so you can take this 10,000 foot view and say it's it is it's truly a cliche, but it is very true because you see upsets all the time. And there were some in week one. It's tough to win. So now they want to know they've beaten division opponent and you're getting through your rough period of finding yourself by getting victories. If you had lost this game, imagine would be the same because the difference between winning and losing this game was honestly, Jalen Carter blocking a PAT., a very questionable penalty called on Stefan Diggs for a celebration that made them not be able to go for it. You can't do that. That's it. Really? I didn't think it was that. Because he hugged the goalpost? You can't do that. I don't know what. I feel like I don't know what it is and isn't anymore because I saw some stuff going on earlier in the day that was what I thought was excessive, but I was fine with that. I just put in years ago because they weren't calling it and a bunch of players were doing it. They said it's enough for taking it out. Right. Yeah. Okay. So take the questionable about it. The fact that it happened, it made them not be able to go for the two-point conversion there when they had a momentum going on. Yeah. No. Then when you're talking about your punter being your MVP again, it's not where you want to be. So yes, they're all the positives that I mentioned that you can take from this. And by the way, Zach Bond played like a man possessed. He's on the run. He was unbelievable. I don't know if they win without him because he made about seven important stops, whether third downs or pass breakups altogether. He was incredible. Right. But if you want to be, if you want to look at it and say, hey, I was really looking forward to seeing some development from last year, especially offensive, I was really looking forward to interior offensive line health being a good thing and getting the run game going. And then that in turn marrying a good pass game. You didn't. What you saw was basically the same run, run, run into brick wall offense and then pop a few big pass plays or a few big Jill and hurts runs. That's Eagles from the past. You did not see what you were hoping to see. But again, it's week one. I know they got to work on it, but you were at least hoping to see a step in that direction and you didn't. And that part probably won't make people feel good until maybe weeks three or week or four because they may beat the Titans this way next week also. But people want to see that the offense is for real and that the changes they make will work. But I don't think they could see that yet. And it really does. I worry about the offensive line. Oh, Lando Dickerson in particular. Yeah. Dickerson. Boy, he fell down. He just didn't look right. We'll see what the tape looks like. Looking forward to watching that and talking to Greg Grosseau about it. The run blocking was poor. I was very surprised. They had one great run by Barclay. Barclay also made it some yards on the 14th for 41. Trust me, it looked like 14th for 25. It's just he had trouble getting out of his own way. What they did is because they didn't respect the Eagles receivers. I'm just telling you what it looked very clear to me. They loaded up that box. Absolutely. They loaded it up and I noticed it early game. I'm looking at my notes here. No way J. Brown showing up, showing up, showing up because they're not worried about anyone. I know Wicks, he made two big plays. No question. I would throw in, I agree with you. They were not afraid of Eagles receivers. Not at all. They believe that they could either A, overpower the interior of that offensive line or B, which also happened, break down protection schemes to get some free rides, which they also got. So they showed a lack of respect, you could say in the same way for Chris Cooper's ability to have the answers in the middle of a game, especially in the second half. Sonny Stiles, you mentioned he started coming. They saw Louvre, Louvre goes out with a groin injury. You think everything's good, but no, they just play five or six guys at the line of scrimmage. They drop some, they send some, that really forced a lot of rushed and hurried plays from the offense and from Jalen Hurts. Football is finally back and PrizePix is bringing out their best offer yet. I get to the gym at least three times a week. I try to focus on certain muscle groups, my arms, my legs, and it used to be really frustrating for me to find jeans that fit someone like myself who likes to work out. Sometimes those jeans can be awkward and tight and you're sitting in a chair and you're constantly pulling it, your jeans trying to get them to fit you. Sometimes it feels like you have to buy jeans that make you choose between your waist or your thighs. But thankfully, I found the perfect jean. It's different from all other jean companies, especially for guys with athletic builds. They actually let me move like a normal human being. I can bend down and tie my shoes. I can squat to pick up something without feeling restricted. I can actually do a full squat, you know, bending down to pick something up without feeling like I'm about to blow a scene. You know, the old standard jean sizing, it wasn't designed to fit guys who squat or deadlift, play sports or just do anything that actually builds your legs. But the perfect jean is designed for just that, for guys like me. Perfect jean has six fits. It includes the athletic fit, the slim, the thick, and the thick, thick, specifically built around the reality that legs and waist don't always scale together. I mean, it just, they crowded the box. Communication at certain times is not great. It was tough to watch, to be honest with you. Yeah. Because they didn't play in the preseason. We saw them against the Wigland in the joint practice. Andrew and I were there and we like what we saw. Again, it's not a real game, but it's physical contact from another team. It's only the first game, but remember what we said in the pregame show, Washington has completely revamped their offensive line. They changed, excuse me, defensive line. They changed the game totally and they've added so much talent in the front seven, but their front seven was terrible last season. Oldest defense in the National Football League. No longer, that's no longer the case. They still have some older players that are still under contract, so they couldn't get rid of them, but they look fresh. They did a good job. What Washington has a problem with, we talked about in the pregame. Mike Sanders still is really not a corner. He's a nickel. He was phenomenal two years ago. He struggled a bit playing corner last season. Struggled a bit. The Eagles went after Russell Douglas a little bit. He got them. They got him. But I say all this, it's only game one. They're going to make a lot of corrections. They're playing Tennessee who looked awful. Tennessee didn't have any injuries in the game. I got the transcript, so I got an early word they didn't have anything, but they were terrible against the Jets. They're a bad team. Eagles should not struggle. Sirianni Sturkley is really good on the road, so you feel good about that, and we'll get the defense in a second, finish up offense. But they have a lot to correct. They should feel fortunate they scored 24, they did. It's a fact. But as you said, Braden Mann can't be the All-Star. I mean, 10 first downs is unbelievably embarrassing. I agree. He's great, but he can't be your best player at times. What did you think of the Goddard touchdown that won the game for the US.? The 42-yarder? I thought he might not be completely set, because I've watched it slowly. He kind of does this hop, and his right leg is still in the air as the ball is being snapped. So it looked like, and that also looked like Maillotta kind of flinched back. So I feel like they got away with one, but hey, it wasn't called. So maybe that was a creative way of Sean Manion. Just, I don't know what kind of, that's not burst motion. That's like hop motion, right? No, it wasn't burst motion. But I wonder if they have a poll report asking the ref if there was that, because usually there's going to be a poll report anyway. Yeah. There's got to be something they could ask him about. That's a play I would ask about just to get clarification. But I found it interesting. I don't, maybe the folks who are looking at YouTube, maybe you guys heard it, but I don't remember them going to Mike Pereira for Fox. I didn't, because Kevin Burkhart and Brady, they went over the play, but they didn't say that he wasn't set. So I'm like, okay, because usually you know, usually it's obvious, it wasn't too, it wasn't, it was questionable, but no, they would usually go to Mike Pereira. They didn't surprise me. Yeah. Yeah. Well, the edge, I think it was OA, it was one of the edge defenders for Washington was pointing as soon as it happened and stopped running. And that's his fault. You got to play until you hear a whistle, right? But they stopped and everybody in the press box, just to give people an idea what it was like, it was very objective plays, no cheering, no nothing. Everybody, there's commanders media, there's eagle media. As soon as that ball got snapped, there was noise. Everybody made a noise like, huh? Like, because it looked not set, like it didn't look right. So we'll talk to Greg about it. We'll break it down. I'll be able to have some footage of it. But it was, it becomes controversial. Because if they don't score there, I mean, who knows how this game will happen. I'd like to get clarification. By the way, usually the opposing team has some of their personnel staff in the press box. Right. And I remember, this is really funny. So the 2010 game in Washington, when our friend Clay Harbor had the block to for Vic on the bomb to de-jack, I think it was 2010. It was insane because the Eagles had some of the personal staff in there. And of course, they have to be careful. They're like this, this, but they're not saying anything. It was really funny because they know they can't do it. Can't do it in the press box. There you go. Anyway. Yeah. There you go. All right. So that's pretty much, I mean, again, we're really going to go through it on Inside the Table, so this week, but I counted myself because I was, hey, I'm in the press box. I have a really good view here where I sit of when the Eagles are going from the north end zone to the south end zone or vice versa, actually. And there were a lot of times locked in on the run game. And it landed Dickerson to me looked like he was either immobile or could not put his hands up in time. I want to go back to one thing I told you. I was at the last practice before the preseason game. The last practice, everybody, it was a light practice, but all the first teamers, Mackay Lemmon was practicing, they were subbing out Dickerson occasionally and subbing in Drew Kendall. And I've already taken a look at a couple of, because you don't need all 22 to see all funds of line play. I've already taken a look at a few of the pressures that commanders have gotten. And there are times where Landon is just, it's almost like he's not compa-competing. The first sa- the one on the sack on Hurts, it almost looked like a stunt on the left side where he just lets Luvu get right past him and then Luvu bullrushes Milada and just drops Hurston back door. There was like four or five, there are a couple of run blitzes where they just come right at him. And I, it's sad because he's a great guy and he's a three-time pro bowler. And he went and had all these surgeries, which is unfortunate. But I am, I am, I don't want to overreact to week one. But if that's what you're getting going forward, he might be on, not be able to play. Oh, I mean, like if, I mean, it's only they won and it's week one. But if we're talking, if we keep saying this for six weeks, right, that's when you got to start talking about getting Drew Kendall ready. Yes. Who theoretically would be his replacement. Yeah, I don't think it would be Willie Lampkin. And by the way, everybody on the line, even Lane had a few, not, not, I mean, it was, and that's where I put it on, on Cooper being his first year and Manion first year. These guys have to get together and figure things out in the game. Especially we talked about this in the pregame. You're facing a Brian Flores, Disciple defense, you know, they're going to put six and seven guys, and it could be any six or seven guys on the line of scrimmage. They're going to make it seem like they're all coming. They're going to drop to drop three rush six sometimes. And they did that. And I thought Durante was really calling a good game. Once it got to the third quarter, early fourth, before that, got her touchdown, kind of broke the back a little bit. He was, he had, he had the offense confused and the courts bailed him out with some, some important runs. But again, you were looking for more in the rhythm and timing passing game and it's not there yet. Not there. I mean, it was, but which is hard to be when you're behind the sticks though. I got, I can't put it all on the past offense. Yeah. I, it's, it's hard to pick because we don't have access to the tape. So I'm just trying to, cause I'd like to know if there were some, cause there were some plays where just Hertz rolled out and just threw it up out of bounds and whatever, you know, that you saw him go to the sideline. Cause we've seen this in the past when we point out this ball should have been out, the guy was open, within the progression, the guy was opening and throw it, but don't know that yet. So what we're going to learn, actually we're taping tomorrow, so I can't wait. Before we move to defense, here's the thing, they scored 24. They should not be happy with the way that their offense performed. Really, but here's the great thing, they didn't turn it over, Jalen had three touchdown passes. For the Hurts haters, he didn't turn it over, too bad. He didn't turn it over and he had three touchdown passes. Two of them were terrific. I mean, they were great throws. The first got our touchdown, and obviously the one to Wicks. Now, that was great protection, but he delivered. He is, as Geronte Jones said in his transcript before the game, and it got him, he said he is one of the best DPSers I have been against. Yep. Oh, the ball to Devontae Smith was so beautiful, the 31-1. Yeah, that's another one. Yeah. Oh, and okay, I really do want to address this. I think Nick Sirianni, you know, game management decision-making, he hurried to the line of scrimmage right after that catch, and they ran a play immediately, and it was a terrible play, and it put him behind the sticks, and they wound up settling for a field goal. From my vantage point, and I had the action coming right to me, I don't think there was a question that he was inbounds. He caught it, he dragged his feet, he was worried, I guess, that the commanders were going to review it, and he got some to the line of scrimmage, and they ran a play, and the Hurts winds up throwing it away, and now they're second and ten. I didn't think that was necessary. By the way, great adjustment by Wicks on his nine-yard touchdown. That was a really nice job, because Taylor still lost where he was. He made a couple beautiful moves on that. I thought Wicks put a double move when he didn't need to. He already had him beat on the initial cut, and then he did another double move. He had it. He left him in his mag, man. That was beautiful. Again, the bomb that they caught set things up. It was great. But the fact that we sang all this, he only had ten first downs. That's embarrassing. Right. But again, they're going to make corrections, and we're going to see. Like you said, they set this up very well. They won the game. That's the thing. But defensively, they did a lot of good. Yes, they got tired. Clearly, we have to check the snap counts. Yes, they could. Daniels was Houdini with his legs. It was incredible. Their pressure rate was good, but they just didn't wrap up. They just, this is where Vic, they're going to go over this. Clint Hurt and Vic, in particular, fans who are going to go over this. They have to do a better job against scrambling quarterbacks. This is ridiculous. Yeah. Daniels was, I thought he was like Fran Tarkenton out there. I was like, oh my goodness. Fran Tarkenton, for those of you who are under 40, who's in the Hall of Fame, won the best quarterback in NFL history, won the best scramblers I've ever, I was young enough to, I was old enough to remember him. I mean, he was a very young kid, but I remember him just running around and dodging defenders. It was just amazing. So their defense, their run defense wasn't great. Krosky-Merritt had some good runs. I'm looking at my notes here. David Blau, this is where I think he struggled. First run 11 yards and he pulls and puts in Rashad White. Why would you do that? Rashad White, he slows everything down. He clogs it up. He's a good pest protector. Okay, I get that. He's going to shoot yardage. Ironically, Krosky-Merritt had the touchdown. Actually a good power run for him. He's not really powerful. That was just bad. Krosky-Merritt may not be powerful, but he was slithery. He got through and then K-Tron Allen came in. They had enough of Rashad White, so they put K-Tron Allen in, so that was interesting. But the game should not have been as close as it was. And the defense, although Quignan obviously put Terry McLuhan on the sidelines, that was unbelievable, pretty much. I did not hear from him. They talked about this is the first time he's pulled maybe since high school or if at all, but we don't know if he was cramped. I don't know. I don't know what happened. But I do know is they completely shut him down. Yep. Two for 14. Quignan was just unbelievable. And obviously, Rick Wolin, they did an excellent job. Now, Anthony Williams is a slot receiver by trade. Made a couple of huge plays. I give the kid credit. Very quiet. Then all of a sudden, he became a major factor. The touchdown catch. For sure. Yeah. The explanation from Dean Blandino was interesting. I get it because his hands were on the ball. The ball is allowed to touch the ground. It's got to be simultaneous. Right. It never moved in his hand. He had his fingers. I thought that there would have been no reason to overturn because not enough evidence. His hands were on the ball. Yeah. Right. That's what you just said is what Kevin Burkhardt said. There's just not enough. Right. At first glance, I think there's no way that's a catch. Then I saw the replay. I'm like, wait a minute, his hands were on the ball, on the ground. Yeah. It was simultaneous and he didn't move. I don't know how the hell he did it. As I've gotten older, I've really tried to concentrate on my physical health, my body, making sure I'm putting the right things in and the healthiest things in. I'm not a big, I'm pressurized it's very important to coaches, but what are your thoughts on that? I mean, yes and no. No, not overly because I thought there were a lot of, I thought Jane Daniels was on the run quite a bit and he's a hard guy to sack. But to your point, there were about three or four plays including one to the rookie, William Williams on third and 14. He catches a 15 yard pass where the four man rush did not get home. And it's not like they were on the field for a really long time and Washington was running a lot of plays. There were times where I did feel like the four man rush didn't get home enough. I think they missed Jonathan Grenard, obviously. There were, there were, yeah, and there were times and I spoke to Cooper to Jean after the game. He was hard on himself. You know, he felt like he did not play a good game and he didn't. He had two bad penalties, legal contact penalties, and he gave up, I think he gave up the touchdown, right, to Williams. He gave up the first catch that Williams made was that 14 yard or right down to the goal line, where then they scored on the on the weird merit touchdown right after that. But that was against Cooper to Jean also. And then there was a third play against Coop that they got three yards. So they were kind of targeting him, went after him and they got it. And that's not if you're the top nickel back in the league, you can't let that happen. But it didn't help that he didn't have a consistent, persistent pass rush. Their defenses, by the way, the defense, I believe, was on the field for over 20 minutes in the second half. That's not good. Like they, yeah, they, they got gassed. They were getting gassed. They were, they were getting a little bit out of gas. And I'm very interested to see what the staff counts. I want to see what the rotation looked like in terms of stamps. But and Vic did say, and you know this, you were at the game. It was humongous. How all of a sudden? Very. In the afternoon? Really humongous. So that's a concern. It was in the 80s and the rain stopped late morning, early afternoon. But overall, the defense, I'd say this, got some run fit issues, which they got to clean up. It wasn't like they were bad against the run, but they should have been better. They should not have struggled. I turned out to be wrong. I thought their defensive line would absolutely kill Washington. That's it. See, I'm not sure if that's like one of those things where you're concerned or you just say, hey, you tip your cat. Washington's offensive line played better than giving credit for? I don't know. They did. They certainly did. Brandon Coleman gave up so much pressure, but Daniels negated it by scrambling. But there were times when he had too much time, and Brady brought it, he kept pointing it out. Look, they're only for rushers, only for, Vic does not want to blitz. Right. I get it. I mean, you remember Gregg Hosell said on a pregame show, Gregg had that study and he goes, it's just basically, it's four man pressure, it's two deep safeties, they're not giving up big plays, they're not giving up plays downfield. Linebackers have to cover. Now, Zach Bohn was a man. He was an absolute man. For anyone saying that Trott's going to take his job, I'd like to plant it on you. We love Trott Jr. He's been a great story. He's a third linebacker. Campbell, by the way, had the sack. He lined up as an edge rusher on that play. I was able to slow that down several times. By the way, he didn't realize he had a sack. We told him. We were asking him about the sack. Me and a couple of reporters were talking to Campbell after the game. How did he not know that? He's like, I got a sack? He's like, yeah. I don't think he realized that Daniels was actually behind the line of scrimmage. He was chasing him around all day. He had no idea. It's funny because I was like, don't tell me they're going to get a zero sack. When he gets the line of scrimmage, it's credit for a sack, but it's really not. But they got him about a yard and a half behind. Don't make those corrections. They have a very good chance to go 2-0. I expect the Eagle fans to travel well to Nashville, go to Broadway, will a Broadway. Great place to get some food. But like you said, they won. Defense is going to be good. The cornerbacks were elite in this game. Cooper, as you said, it's got to be better. Bond, really good. D-Line got some pressure, no question about it. But I feel, and we'll ask Greg this when we tape the show. They look gassed. Sometimes he can't tell, sometimes he can tell. It's going to be on the process of finding out what the heck happened through the tape. Yeah, very much. So yeah, corrections. I mean, overall, good job. I mean, they made the big play on the two-point conversion or else who knows how that game goes because they were running out of gas. I mean, I think the defense is fine, but it's got to pick it up a little bit. Dejean has to play better. Baum was an animal. And then again, once they get Grenard back, then we can truly see if this pass rush gets more more consistent. Did you notice that because they kept showing Jordan Davis on the sidelines, but I couldn't tell. I don't know how many snaps he had. Did you notice him out of the game at all? Oh, yeah. I mean, he would come out. He came out at times in the pass rush. Yeah, which he usually does. I mean, he asked if he was a little bit, and it was in nickel way more than he ever been in his career. And he might have in this game too. Yeah, but he's not always in nickel. Because of the heat, because of the humidity, it was really bad. And I was like, wow, this is going to be interesting to see what Vic does. I cannot wait to see the snap counts because I want to see. Because he said he needed because the media smartly asked him about that. We said, yeah, we probably need to do it. Well, he doesn't like to do it. He hates to do it. He doesn't like rotating at all. But overall, they won. Was it quite what I was expecting? I put what now it's fun. It went over the total. It was a lot of points. I know. I know. I should have been Mr. Over. I would say it was like I expected because I'm the one who always says these games are weird and then, you know, people might be on YouTube. They say I like Washington too much. Well, guess what? It was, they could have won that game. People think I like Washington too much. Yeah, it's funny. But they spelled your name right. Congrats. Very funny. They did not. All good, man. We'll go it up for the show. Oh, real quick. Yeah. Real quick. Vince Papali show, folks. You have to hear it. We did a great special show. Vince is a friend of ours and if all the interviews we've done in nine years, this is our ninth season. If it's not my favorite, it's right up there. It was phenomenal on the storytelling. I mean, we did this interview like 25, I swear he told 50 stories. It's crazy. Oh, I'm sure. Yeah. It was phenomenal. So it's up there if you want to, because if you probably listened to other 18 shows last week, that's one that will be up on audio and YouTube. You'll definitely want to hear it. We'll get a lot more shows this week. We'll have the debut of Inside the Tape, Offense and Defense. Excited about that. Birds Weekly with Gunner and Barrett Brooks will be a special guest. So excited about that. That'll be part of our programming Inside the Data. Sam Finkel will have this thing broken down in terms of EPA and DVOA. All those fun stats that you and I don't really get a chance to get into immediately after in the post-game. Every coach that I know, they, it's huge swears by the, they'll poke holes in a lot of data, which they think is not quite like Vic does, calls it fake. Fake PFS stat, but no, but they all swear by DVOA because it's one thing you can't shoot holes through. Hey, Philly fans, game day is stressful enough. Parking, traffic, long lines.
