Garrett Wilson over Terry McLaurin, and the board is not shy about it

The real counter-case for McLaurin is a price, not a take. At Underdog, the only book posting Week 1 player props in this window, his receptions number opened at 3.5 on Saturday and sits at 4.5 now. That is a full catch of movement while the board still has him 24th at his position.
Wilson has the uglier game. New York at Tennessee carries the smallest total anywhere on this slate. Start him anyway. The wire gives you nothing to move off a thirteen-slot gap: no injury designation on Wilson, no depth-chart demotion, no dated take arguing against him.

That is the bull case for Purdy in one sentence, and it is a case about volume in a game the market just made smaller. Young is the same projection at a fraction of the cost. If you are streaming a quarterback, stream Young and spend the roster spot somewhere else.
The Jets and Titans hid two startable quarterbacks in the worst game on the board

The shows are no help either. Smith drew two episodes in three days and Ward drew three, and the sharpest of them is a Jets preview hoping the defense gets to Ward early.

The board has Dak Prescott 10th among quarterbacks at 16.73 points and Aaron Rodgers 24th at 14.77 points. That is 1.96 between them. Prescott went at 65.1 on average this summer and Rodgers at 172.8, so this was never a close call at the draft table either.
Dallas visits the Giants under Sunday night lights, favored by 3 in a 48.5-point game that has not moved a tick since it opened. Pittsburgh hosts Atlanta in a 42.5-point game. Start Prescott and let somebody else find out whether the Steelers throw deep.
The one name in this group carrying a tag
Luther Burden is Questionable on the Week 1 board and second on the Chicago depth chart, and the board still projects him at 12.02 points. That is inside a rounding error of McLaurin, which is exactly why he is a trap.
All three of his mentions came from the same Philadelphia show, Inside the Birds, on Sep 5, Sep 6 and Sep 7. Twice the host was reading a season receiving yards number out loud rather than talking about Sunday. Sit him. The only injury designation on Burden anywhere in this window is the board’s own Questionable tag, because Chicago has not filed a Week 1 report yet.
